Daycare was horrible. They called me that my sons diaper needed changed while I was working out (which was fine) but when I got there he was laying on the ground clearly upset crying with snot running down his nose and the girls were sitting there not even paying attention to him. Will never put my son in that situation again. 😤 My son isnt even 2 years old yet.

I called and asked how much an annual membership for 3 adults and 2 children would be, they quoted me $1190, so I went ahead and promised my two children that I would get us a membership for the year. I go up there today and try to start our family membership and the teenager behind the desk started taking my information, asked my fiancé’s name and asked if we were married and I said no. She said we have to be married to have a membership and that my mom can’t be on my membership....apparently only married couples and children can have a family membership....I was not told this on the phone and saw nothing online either. So, we left, and I had to come home and break my promise to my two girls. Can’t talk to anyone until Monday and everyone I talked to today was very unprofessional. This is not how a business should be run, the stipulations of being married should be on the website and told to people on the phone.

This pool is fantastic. A town the size of Dickinson is lucky to have it. I spent several hours there with my 7 year old and 7 month old. We loved the smaller water slides that emptied into shallower water and the 3 ft lazy river. The price was perfect at just $14 for our family to go. Highly recommend! Go early though as there was a line/one in-one out when we left at 2pm.

Friendly staff, clean property and a decent selection of fitness activities. The four star review is for the dated locker rooms (at least the womens).Update: After asking about ideas about updating/upgrading, a good example would be the Minot YMCA. Features include being adult only (18 years and older), hot tub, steam room and dry sauna in the ladies room. Granted, I understand such change is not as easy as a snap of the fingers. Thank you.

Very clean and organized facility. They offer a lot of group activities for all ages. Stuff is always there to help answer any questions and give you a tour if its your first time there. Their membership prices are not bad, I would suggest getting a year membership instead of monthly, since you can still pay monthly and cancel any time, but you save every month. Great deal

I use to live in Dickinson and went here when they first opened. I just stopped in while visiting family over the holidays. I am amazed how well this facility has been kept up, it looks as new as when it first opened. This community center is better than most facilities like it that you might find all across the country. There is something for everyone of all ages and interests. Glad to have this place to go to, to get in a run and a swim and run into some old friends as well.

I’m from out of town visiting my wife’s family and I needed I place to workout. Very nice facility with great equipment, very clean. My only complaint is that it’s $8 to work out for the day, I wish they would have some sort of different pricing for people visiting from out of state. It’s $50 for the month so they should let you pay $25 for 2 weeks if you’re just in town temporarily.

Great facility in need of a few considerations regarding the exterior waterpark. The exterior pool for children that arent potty trained has no slide but does have a feature including buckets of water that dump randomly; not really an appropriate water feature for children under 3. There is also an every 50 minutes mandatory break that is quite unpopular with small children. Its a cheap ploy to push concessions disguised as a water/sun screen reapplication break.

Dont expect to be able to actually use the daycare. They only sit and hold their own babies, while yours cries and then they call you to come get your child because its upset. Ive wasted multiple punches hoping to get to work out and every time this happens. They sit in the rocking chair and rock their own or each others babies. They give you dirty looks and make comments like we will see how it goes when you drop off. They hate to have to get up to sign your kids in.

So the staff here are not friendly. They try “kicking” you out for the littlest of things like walking the wrong way. They are especially not friendly to children/teens, they ridicule you too. There’s about 1 or 2 staff memebers that are actually friendly and kind to you. The reason why I’m giving it 2 stars are because of those people. Today is Sunday and the wrcc closes in 10 minutes and so were all waiting in the lobby and this one old lady tried telling us to wait outside but not the rest of the people. Very rude and disrespectful!

This facility has everything you could ask for. There are 5 basketball courts, 3 racquetball courts, 2 tennis courts, 2 pools, and lots of equipment for both weightlifting and cardio. There is always an open treadmill even during the busiest of hours. If you do not enjoy running or walking on a treadmill, there is an indoor track that goes around the entire building. They also offer fittness classes such as yoga and cycling. The fitness instructors are very friendly and will work with you to ensure that you can complete the class. After a hard workout or day at work you can jump into the hotube to relax. The only issue I had with the facility was kids running around. Overall I recommend getting a membership here as the prices are similar to smaller gyms but the West River Community Center offers all the other amenities that a typical gym does not have.

We went here in 2014 and this facility was immaculate. The staff was very friendly, polite, and you could tell they actually cared about your experience. I don’t know if it was a bad day here or what. When we first got in, which is 28$ for a family of 4, (not a huge deal for the amount of amenities), at 9am we were told there was no open swim until 12 noon when the outdoor pool opens by the clerk, Rosa, because there were aquatic lessons going on currently. She was pretty unfriendly and my husband and I were both confused because we checked the pool schedule before we left for an hour drive. So we wandered around a bit and I checked their site again. Well, I was right. We went back to the desk and I showed her the schedule and she said “no, it says there’s aquatic lessons today”. We waited for a manager or at least another clerk to come by and a bearded guy (he was very polite, thankfully) informed her that she was actually wrong, that we were ok for open swim at 10am (its 9:30). Rosa says “well I wasn’t here and I didn’t know”...ok...then how do you run the front desk? My phone didn’t change times so we were about to get in the pool and the young lifeguard (blonde, ponytail) told us open swim wasn’t until 10 pretty rudely. My bad. So we walked around a bit and expected to spend the time waiting in the indoor playground. Nope, daycare is apparently going on. We ask the daycare clerk how to get outside to the outdoor park and she says “we don’t have an outdoor playground”. ...hm, we just drove by it parking?? Another lady rushes out to tell us that yeah we can get to it, and gave us directions. She apologized for the other girl.Outside, the playground equipment needs oiled (especially the zip line type attachment) and the grounds were littered with garbage. Front yard seemed better maintained. When the kids were done playing outside we went back in.(Let me make a note here that we visited the women’s and men’s locker rooms, and they were pretty dirty with loose toilet paper everywhere, didn’t look like anything was wiped down for days, and this is coming from an ex housekeeper).Well we went to go swim and all was good for an hour or so. My youngest son has a phobia of water and we’ve been trying to teach him how to deal with those anxieties for safety. (He was capable of swimming mind you, just doesn’t like going under water). The kids were cool going around the whirlpool (it’s like a lazy river) and some other girls had grabbed two floaties. Hmm, says no flotation devices allowed in the pool. I guess the lifeguards were busy showing each other their abs and chatting more than they were watching the pool. The girls (the ones swimming) gave my boys the floaties and my sons took them out into the pool since the lifeguards saw us and didn’t say anything. My youngest son (the one with the anxiety) gets out into the pool and is ecstatic he has something to hang on to. Welp, the lifeguard struts up and States “we don’t allow floatation devices outside the whirlpool” and I’m like...ok...then maybe you should state that somewhere? We apparently also weren’t allowed to use the ladders on the side of the pool because that’s “climbing the walls”?We decided to leave and as we did we saw a bunch of kids playing on the gym equipment. We had intended to stay longer than an hour and a half and enjoy the gym, showers even possibly the basketball court, but it was very uncomfortable being treated like that.Overall it looks like the facility is under supervised, seems like they don’t really like kids too much anymore since the outdoor pool was built. It felt very unwelcoming and like we were being rushed to get out. We wont be coming back and it was ultimately really disappointing for the price despite the large selection of amenities. The staff killed any hope we had left since I could have overlooked some minor cleanliness flaws. I hope anybody else going has a better experience than we do.
