Single track off derry rail.

We didnt explore all the trail. Well paved for walking, bicycles, rollerblades, 🐕 dog walking, skateboarding, 🐕 dogs pulling 🛹 skateboards, cross country skiing and running. There are trails attached to the main trail but they lead into either private property or a nature conservancy. Parking is limited but we found spots for two cars, probably because its the middle of November. Benches, dedicated to individuals who served in the military, are along the trail. Potholes are circled with spray paint. Very little litter.I recommend a walk here.Update: Sunday afternoon, July 2021; Walked from Derry Rail Trail Parking 🅿️ to Robert Frost poem on the pavement. That is just over an hour round trip. Saw an interesting mural on a long white wall dedicated to aviation and the space program. People on 🚲 bicycles, 🎶 Bicycle! Bicycle! I want to ride my bi-cy-cle! I want to ride my bike!🎶 Oops 😬! Sorry! Need to slow down when approaching people.Recent heavy 🌧️ rains have made the brook, streams and ponds full and there is even a small stream running along the trail. Tunnel that goes under road has flooded. Stop light at one street available to pedestrians.

Was such a nice experience lots of wooded area and flowers blooming it was water areas little turtles and little wildlife creatures really nice walk

We did the 1.4 one way then back. A small area for parking beautifully paved way though marsh and ponds very popular bike trail 6 mile if you do the whole trip. Great for dogs.

Love the fairly easy walk. Nice trails. Wish there were porta potties though and more benches to sit at. But love the views.

This is a great asset for Derry that needs some TLC, especially from South ave(?) to Bowers rd.

Cool walking path, a lot of it is around residential areas, so not the best if you want to escape into nature. Also, a fairly dirty path. A lot of dog poop everywhere.

These trails are nice quite place to get away from the daily grind. Also a good place to walk your dogs.

I love this trail. Its paved, beautiful and pretty long. Ive been walking it for years and never walked the whole thing at once but definitely possible. It has some wonderful views of ponds. On nice days youll see plenty of people walking or biking. At night Ive always felt safe. Ive longboared it plenty of times and no one ever seemed to care.
