I broke my reading glasses while traveling to Denver on business and was recommended to Eye Vision by the concierge of my hotel. Needless to say Sam requested a copy of my prescription from my eye doctor in Florida and had me a new pair of glasses made the same day and makes all the glasses himself! My old glasses took 2 weeks!! Speedy, courteous, and has a large selection of frames to choose from! Thank you Eye Vision and Sam!

Was desperate for a reasonably priced pair of glasses and someone suggested Eye Vision. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and after an hour of deliberation with the help of Sam (who took multiple pictures for me to send to friends and family) I walked away with an expedited order (7 business days) that actually arrived in 2 days. So happy with the service and quality and have been recommending them to everyone!

The location is really convenient if you live near LoDo, Sam is always welcoming and helpful, and Dr. Seidman does a great job with Contact fitting and recommendations. Ive been coming here for a few years and dont plan on going anywhere else.

I thought they did a great job. The office is on the 5 th floor of an old building down town. The office looks a bit old so I was a bit skeptical at first, but the people and customer service was great. Id definitely come back here.

Best lenses and frames in Denver. They make the lenses in house and Alex is a true craftsman. If you need eye care, this is the place.

Always a great experience. I recently came in to place an order on a Friday. I didnt want to pay extra to expedite it (as I was picking up in store) so they said I should expect to be able to pick it up in 1-2 weeks. I was able to pick it up on Tuesday. What a nice surprise. Thanks Eye Vision.

Eye Vision has the best customer service! As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed. They really take the time to help you and make sure you are 100% satisfied. Their quality and selection of frames is incredible. I have never had lenses made so perfect. They can make everything so perfect because they do it all themselves! Incredible experience! Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They took time to listen to my needs. I work on computers and suffer severe eyestrain from screens. The gentleman in the office custom made my glasses with specialty lenses that protect my eyes. I instantly noticed a change after using them. This optometrist saved me last week! I moved here two weeks ago from another state and, somewhere in the relocation, I lost my dedicated computer glasses. Here I am with a brand new job and I couldnt focus on the computer very well. I called Eye Vision (the closest optometrist to my job) and they told me they could have replacement glasses ready that same day. I called my previous optometrist to get my prescription and they said theres no way this new optometrist could get me glasses in one day, but they were wrong! The glasses were ready in just a couple of hours!! The optometrist at Eye Vision was knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend Eye Vision Downtown.

Sam did an amazing job on my glasses. I am very picky and my eyes are aweful! I have always had to go through hoops to find someone that can handle my prescription and get me stylish frames and thin lenses. Sam went above and beyond and even delivered my glasses to me! Wonderful place!! I have gotten several eye exams here over the years and they have always been super friendly and were able to fit me in on short notice. Ive bought several frames that I love and they were fitted perfectly! They even refitted my frames on the spot free of charge after my toddler got ahold of them. Excellent customer service! I was visiting the area for a conference. I accidentally sat on my glasses and bent the frames. They were able to quickly and accurately make the necessary adjustments and had me out the door in under 10 minutes. Very impressed.

This is truly a one of a kind Eyeglass store, and i would recommend it to anyone. Upon losing my glasses in a river, i was able to run over to Eye Vision and receive a quick replacement. I had my prescription faxed in minutes and in only 30 minutes, the Ophthalmologist had made a brand new pair of glasses for me. This is the one stop shop for insanely quick and friendly eye-care for a reasonable price.

Great service! I was in Denver for a professional conference when a screw fell out of my glasses frames. This place was around the corner from my hotel, so i called for help. They were about to close but stayed open for me and repaired my glasses free of charge—and were gracious about it.

Spent the entire morning squinting at signs and holding my broken glasses. Found this place in a super convenient spot in Downtown, they fixed my glasses in five minutes and were incredibly courteous and efficient. Definitely stopping by next time I need a new pair.

Best eye doctors office I have ever been to! They were so fast, accommodating, professional and affordable! I have been getting compliments every day on my new frames and i owe it all to these wonderful gentlemen!!!

First off, the place and equipment is extremely old and Im not even sure these guys know what they are doing. I went to them 2 years ago to fill a prescription and EVERYTHING is overpriced. Im not even sure if my insurance was handled correctly. Instead of renewing my prescription with the incompetent doctors, I started using 1800-Contacts to fill my prescription. Today... I just tried to renew my prescription online and shortly thereafter received a HATEFUL, THREATENING, CUSS FILLED, SCREAMING phone call from JAY about my contacts order online from 1800-Contacts. I didnt even know who was screaming at me until I asked who this was and he replied. A simple phone call that my prescription is expired and need to set up an appointment would have been SO EASY. Instead, I got SCREAMED at the second I answered the phone. Terrible.. Never. Again. This place should be SHUT DOWN immediately.

In my experience Eye Vision is a first rate shop. Jay Talyai, the optician on premises, is a certified lens fitter who is thoroughly experienced, capable and careful with his work. He takes the time that is necessary to make sure that the job is done right. His prices are fair particularly considering the care and concern he takes. He is also pleasant to work with. I have been going there for my glasses on as needed basis for many years and have never been disappointed. Also, an experienced and thorough ophthalmologist, Dr, Delbert Weltman, is available on the premises weekday mornings in case youd like an up to date eye examination by a friendly doc at a reasonable price.

Inconvenient to work with, zero customer service, manipulative sales techniques. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!I have been a customer for almost a year and that’s about as long as I could take it. I have never met a business that cared so little about doing business. Getting a pair of contact lenses has been outrageously difficult. The final straw was this last time I was told to come in at 3 only to show up to a sign that says “will return at 3:15”. Apparently the employee (maybe even the owner, how sad is that?!) was in the bathroom at the time and got a notification that I had left a 1 star review while I was waiting. He showed up mad at me that I would leave a 1 star review just because he needed to use the restroom. I proceeded to tell him that’s not why I left the review but he was incapable of hearing what I was saying to him. He began to get aggressive and more threatening, telling me I’m not allowed to be their customer because I left the 1star review, apparently forgetting that I had already paid them money (can’t blame them since it’d been so long since I had paid for my contact). So I told him he was incompetent and he said I had to leave because I’m on his time and I’m not allowed to talk to him like that. I demanded he give me my money back while he kept arguing that I didn’t have any right to leave a negative review because someone needs to use the restroom. I felt threatened by him and called him the A word in an effort to vent some fear/frustration towards the man and hopefully communicate in a way he would understand that he was not to continue bullying me anymore (since apparently other forms of communication don’t work with him). I regret doing that. For the record: someone using the restroom and being 15 min late is NOT why I’m leaving this review. They uncomfortably try to pressure you into buying things, if you want to know more about the products to make a better buying decision their version of being helpful is “oh just trust me I know what’s best” and then not give any useful information. I felt like I was being scammed the whole time I was there but it was my first time getting glasses so I didn’t know what to expect. They made me come back over and over again, each time during work hours. I have been in the office countless times and have had a bad experience every single time. I even overheard a conversation at work once where one of my colleagues was describing their weird experience they had at their eye doctor and I asked if they had gone to Eye Vision to which they said “yeah that’s crazy, how’d you know that?” All in all this last experience was by far the worst though, downright offensive and unnerving.My message to Eye Vision is that your customers lives don’t revolve around your convenience, you are a business and need to learn to function like one. You said yourself you think we are on “your time” and that is not the attitude I imagine anyone would want when dealing with an entity asking for their money. If someone leaves a negative review you should seek understanding of why with humble humility, don’t let your prideful ego stand in the way of your success.

I have been a patient for over 7 years; Jay has always been very knowledge, professional and kind. He is the type of professional that takes time of his schedule to explain in detail about prescriptions, products, prices and so on, and that I really like. I find Eye Vision-Downtown a friendly, reasonable priced shop and recommend it to anyone.

On a trip from Chicago I forgot my contracts and was at a loss. I called Eye Vision and they were wonderfully helpful in filling a small order of contacts to get me through the stay. Great service and good karma.

Dr. Weltman and Jay Talyai are great. I came in over the holidays with my family and got my eyes checked, I was fitted for contacts and glasses. Both gentlemen couldnt have been nicer and couldnt know eyes better, They were both professional and welcomed my questions. Jay went out of his way to make sure my insurance covered my visit and my contacts, he called them to make sure all was correct. I commend them on their professionalism. I got a glasses prescription from another place downtown and just needed contact. I made an appointment at Eye Vision. It was a good experience. As it turns out, I had my appointment time confused, but they were still able to see me within a half hour.Dr. Weltman was adorable! I explained that I didnt need a full exam because I had just had one a few weeks ago, but he told me possibly missing an issue is, Something that keeps a doctor up at night. He did a quick examination without dilating and doubled checked the accuracy of my new glasses prescription. Overall it was exceptional care.

Jay is awesome, my first time here and it was great, glasses were made in a timeley manner. I definitely will continue to see Jay for my services....

This place is joke. The place is horribly maintained, and it definitely is not the best in Denver like the previous reviewer said. The second I walked in I knew I shouldve turned around and walked out the door. The interior feels dirty and outdated which reflects the outdated equipment they use. Jay does not know how to manage insurance and claims. Id strongly suggest finding another eye vision office else where.

The longest part of getting new glasses today was picking the frames. I walked in with a broken pair, without my prescription, and was out the door 30 minutes later with a solid purchase at a very good price.

In response to Deborah :I should say this teenage girl came to our office for a contact lens exam. She had Eye Med insurance and was unaware that her insurance does not pay for her fitting fee and full price Toric lenses ( Lenses for Astigmatism). Unfortunately Deborah had Astigmatism and for us to make her to see 20/20, we had to fit her with the Toric Lenses. Deborah did not show up to 3 of her fitting appointments. After a month and a half she walked into our office. She stated she did not like the feeling of the lenses and that she experienced headaches while wearing them. After hearing her complaint, she stated she wanted different pair of lenses. We gave her Spherical lenses but I told her although they may feel comfortable you are not seeing 20/20, your vision is now 20/30. She agreed. Eye Med paid $95 for lenses and we received $75 then we returned $20 back to Deborah. Our contact lenses fitting for patients are $140.00. We see 60 patients a week. Every problem we have encountered before has been with patients who have financial difficulties. They develop any reason to not pay our fees. Please check your insurance benefits before making any appointment with our office. And all patients should be aware for our terms and conditions regarding follow ups.

Called in to possibly schedule an appointment, when describing my concerns I was advised to speak with an Ophthalmologist and was hung up on. I dont care how busy you are, you dont hang up. Rude customer service, I cant speak for the actual experience in house.

Do not go here if you can avoid it! I took my daughter here told them that if she did contacts that I would only do acuve he said she could try them but lied right to my face then said the insurance would pay for the exam and contacts with a 45$ copay then called me back two weeks later to say that I owed them 150$ we ended up going to Walmart spending way less and getting glasses and the contacts we wanted Ive worked in optical for over ten years and have never seen an optical so terribly unorganized

I have been coming to this eye doctor for about five years now and obviously they are doing something right if Im still here. These people have great customer services and I love the appeal of the family owned business. I have always come out of here satisfied and I have never had a problem with anyone or any prescription they have given me. They have always been nothing but kind and will work with you.For the girl below I dont appreciate your rude racism just because Jay yeah thats his name Jay not Jafar is not native to this country it doesnt mean you have to try to demean him with your childish ways. You seem like you threw a fit seeing how mature you acted upon the station when writing this review; did it ever accrue to you that you could have asked to do the eye vision test again? Or maybe did you ever think you might have made a mistake when answering weather or not you could see the image clearly or not? Save yourself the trouble: the shop is not conveniently located, the selection is old, and the service is rude. I cant tell you if theyre overpriced, because I was so offended by the service in the first two minutes, I left.

Ive worn glasses since I was about 8, my vision has steadily been getting worse.Last time I had an exam I was 17 and i was legally blind in my left eye... Your vision doesnt just turn around from a -4 to a -2 over night either.There are two separate doctors here. One does the lens fitting for glasses only, the other does the fitting for contacts. The doctor, Jafar (not kidding), for contacts..is an idiot. He barely speaks English and will not listen to a word you say. My first day in they did both exams.My glasses seemed normal, Left eye got better a -3.00 over the course of 2 years, right went to a -2.75.Contacts were a HUGE ordeal. Before even walking in I had called my insurance to make sure EVERYTHING was covered, I double checked it too. Well, Mr. Jafar charged me $150 for a premium fitting and contacts that werent fully covered by my insurance. Yeah, no. He gave me a left contact for an astigmatism, that HURT my eye and he refused to listen when I explained that it hurt and was extremely difficult to take out. I told him I wanted Acuve Advance (which is fully covered by my insurance) and he started to fight with me about it.I went in 48hours later and he told me that my prescription had changed from -4 to -2 in my left eye. THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN.This went on for 2 months.I called my old eye doctor and explained the situation and asked him to fax over my prescription to this doctor. Mr. Jafar called me to tell me that my old doctor was wrong and that he was right.I did a double check, went into TARGET OPTICAL and got my prescription done again. I could actually see and not get massive headaches.I requested that Mr. Jafar give me Acuve Advance.Today I went in to get my AA contacts, he told me that he only had one box and that it was going to cost me $55 dollars to get it. I repeated the same thing: They are FULLY covered by my insurance.He got fussy with me, so I asked for my full prescription and pupilary distance so I could order both my contacts and glasses online.He got mad and said: I cant do that. It will cost you $15 and I have to write you a check for $20....I can get my pupilary distance checked at ANY Eye Doctor in a 5 mile radius for FREE. I took the $20 dollar refund and left.Never going back, worst eye doctor in the state.

I have been to a few different vision centers, and this experience stood out to me. These are real professionals who take extra time to do the job right. They have quality frames, lenses and contact lenses. If you are looking for people that care about their profession, come here.
