I was referred by Denver Police and when I got there a security guard was really nice till I told her I was having a mentally stressed episode. Afterwards the niceness was gone and she did a complete 180. I left humiliated and embarrassed. Wesley James

8/30/2020just left the crisis Center they told me they didnt have any beds. I just needed a safe place to be for the night and was lied too. They have beds I know wanted to send me to crossroads. I dont think anyone is going to help me you all just sit and watch.Just left the crisis center it felt most unwelcoming. Its always the same person she believes Im abusing the system. I stopped in to get bus tickets and something to eat, havent eating and I dont want to go back to the hotel I am leaving, working with my caseworker to find a safe place. Yet,  I get one bus ticket(Granted it is all I need at present) and six crackers.  I had to come back and ask for water. She makes me extremely uncomfortable and I dont know why. Having said that, the crisis center is a resource to any having a Mental Health Crisis and/or Clients of MHCD. Its not for anyone there to decide if an individual is abusing a system and just(towards me) disrespectful in body language and verbal. I shouldnt go into a safe place and feel this way. Please forward this to someone that can help ensure that I or anyone is not exposed to her negativity and she lets you know she doesnt care for you. Last time she literally told me, Im (maybe the verbiage we)not gonna keep doing this for you. She has no rights to deny me anything or any clients. She is there to help not determine who get Services.

I have been seeing Lana for about 3 months now and she has been the most wonderful to me and so very helpful. She calls back when you leave messages and its very nice. She is easy to trust.

I myself didnt get the help i needed, but i was given good advice on how to get it. the lady i talked to was polite and seemed professional. not mean at all, i just did not sense too much compassion or empathy from her. i give the benefit always tho. it was early in the morning, and im sure she tires like anybodyelse. never judge anyone on one snap shot! thanks for the help i did receive mhcd crisis center.i know you did do what you could.

Did not receive a return phone call from the crisis line one day, waited 7 hours. Called back the next day & immediately got one good rep. Walked in crisis center, nurse and front staff were amazing.Therapist/counselor felt uninterested. Did leave a good plan of action. Specifically told me I would be getting a call at 9 am and an email with more resources/plans and support group info.Did not receive 9 am call or email, called to follow up with counselor at 11 am and didn’t get an apology until I expressed I was upset. When I explained how upset I was about the lack of follow through I was asked “if there’s anything else going on I didn’t mention”.Made to feel I made up the email and phone call reach out from a therapist I went to see because I have lost my support system.Even if you’re underpaid and overworked you can find compassion. Go elsewhere or you’ll just feel much worse

This place has been a beacon of hope and support in one of my darkest and lowest points in my life. The staff are so helpful and have accommodated everything I was struggling and more. MHCD is doing its best to meet covid19 needs while still offering a safe and supportive place to be and utilize for services! Shout out to the staff, C***, for anonymity sake, might be the most kind and sweet person on the planet. Thank you specifically and I hope I can be like you to people I see who need help and are suffering. Thank you thank you thank you a million times!

Lets just say if you really need help call someone else. The person i talked to would cause someone to harm themselves. I was put on hold so i finally hung up. Really great help

Be forewarned that this is naught but in name a real 24-hour crisis center for those suffering from mental health issues. There are no psychiatrists on staff, and it is uncertain whether anyone with certification beyond Licensed Clinical Social Worker mans the stations. Verily, it is dubious that any with the qualifications necessary to engage with what one might expect to encounter at a walk-in crisis clinic. The crisis hotline has been advised to remove this center from their data pool, as it should not be recommended to anyone dealing with someone in acute psychosis, mania, or any state of agitation. Mental unwellness rarely manifests itself in a way that makes those affected easier to interact with-few are properly trained to accept this fact before working in the field, and they are not who youll encounter on a visit to MHCDs woefully effete center on E. Colfax. But if youve made the trip already, Rose Hospital is but a mile away, tho the point of a crisis center is, one might argue, to avoid resorting to emergen6 admission.

Based on the reviews I would never come here. My mental health is worth more than this.

Like the mafia storefront operations of the 1930s, this organization is a scam on the state and federal governments who pay these frauds to live lavishly. They pad their mentally ill client rosters with alcoholics and drug addicts that are not qualified for government funded services - but they redefine them as mental health clients. They do not perform psychiatric evaluations, so every vagrant who stumbles through their doors becomes a Mental health client: the more clients they can scare up, the more money they can defraud out of the government. And by the way, for those of us with a true mental illness (mine is type 1 bipolar disorder), the services are often inadequate, inappropriate, and rushed.

I wish I didnt have to leave a star, they dont deserve that at all. The people are rude, inconsiderate, and push you around for nothing. They dont know anything and have no helpful information. They ended up telling me they are no information and they recommend to go to an ER if your not feeling well. Never in my life have I felt so disrespected.
