Ive used The Bent Lens for a couple of years now. I recently did an exam and purchased new glasses. Book with confidence! Dr. Torrey is excellent and has made me several pair of glasses that I really like.

I have been going to the Bent Lens for optometry and glasses since 2002 and keep going back because of the helpful and friendly service, the honest assessment of my vision, the great selection of frames and the integrity that they operate with. I recently had an issue with a recent set of lens and they remade them quick to get me back on track!

I went in there and was just curious about non-prescription contact lens, the front desk woman receptionist was speaking to me and then the general manager cut her off. He said you need to have an eye exam before getting the non-prescription contacts. I felt very unease and the place looked really sketchy and I recommend you dont go to that place. Find another place that can give you what you want, that will give you a better customer experience and not be so hideous on the inside and out.

Great experience. Everyone there was super nice. It was my first pair of glasses and Dr. Torrey explained everything in detail about how my eyes were changing and how to fix it. I also asked him for the script to get a couple cheap backup pairs and he was happy to help. The woman at the desk, I wish I remembered her name, was also very friendly. We ended up chatting for quite a while. I will certainly be going back.

Dr. Torrey is a no-nonsense optometrist, that provides a thorough and accurate exam, at a very reasonable cost. I have had my lenses prescribed several times over the years; he worked with me to create a standard and a custom computer prescription, that works for my office situation. I had an issue with Costco not properly cutting the lenses, so Dr. Torrey went over-and-above to determine the problem (using lens measurement), and simply amending the prescription over email. Linda the assistant, also provides quality service. The Larimer Square location is great.

Dr. Torrey and Linda make this the best place I’ve ever gone to for contacts and glasses! Their location makes them seem like they would be unaffordable but they’ve done more to help me stay within budget than any eye doctor I’ve ever had. Dr. Torrey takes the time to explain exactly what the issues are with your vision, why you have them and exactly how he can fix them. My first appointment took several visits to find exactly which contacts I needed over the course of several weeks, but I didn’t pay anything out of pocket until I actually ordered them and I had trial pairs the whole time so I could see the entire time for free. Linda remembered me by name after my first visit and every time since, even though I only call yearly. I’ve had an appointment since covid and everyone wears a mask the entire time and Dr. Torrey did an excellent job of maintaining social distancing when possible. My partner and I will both be going here for as long as they’re open.

Dr. Todd and Mrs. Linda are the best! They always help me with anything I need! Even if I need my glasses adjusted because I fell asleep with them on. During my exams Dr. Todd explains everything that he is doing in common language which always makes me feel more comfortable! He also helped me pick out a pair of glasses that fit my face perfectly! I have been going to eye doctors since I was 2 years old and this is by far the best one I’ve been to!

I searched for a certain type of frame in upwards of 10 places last year until I found the Bent Lens. They had just what I was looking for - something trendy and retro at the same time. The customer service there is excellent. Linda is patient and accommodating, and provides great, personal follow up on all requests. She also is honest about how a frame looks and whether it is the right fit and size. Whenever I go back to have my frames adjustment, I see another one that I want. (I made myself stop at three!) Check them out - you wont be disappointed.

Amazing!!! I found him a few months after I moved to Denver and stayed with him for 5 years, he is always thorough, answered and explained EVERYTHING and never tried to sell things that arent needed. The only reason I stopped going was due to a change in insurance and they werent in the network. I was so sad and considered paying out of pocket just so I could continue there. I recommend Dr. Todd to everyone. I have to do insurance through work but if I had a choice I would pay extra just to have a network he is in.

I went to see Todd for some updated prescription sunglasses. It was tough choice, I had so many great frames to choose from. Todd is not only a great doctor, but was also very helpful in helping me find just the right frame. Although I wasnt in the need for new glasses I had fallen this morning at the airport and my glasses were all askew. The very nice people at the Bent Lens helped me out! They adjusted the frames perfectly. Thank you for being so accommodating and helpful!

Ive been going to The Bent Lens for several years. The staff are friendly and you get personalized service. Dr. Torrey will work with you and consider different options to address your vision correction needs. The office is centrally located downtown and well organized. Being a small office, the check-in and check-out are efficient, so you don’t spend a lot of time waiting.

Friendly staff. They take the time to take care you. Very enjoyable experiences every time I visit.

Always responsive and helpful. The hours work with my demanding schedule. They adjust my glasses if I need them to on a walk-in basis. Ive been a patient/customer for at least 15 years!

I took a chance with The Bent Lens after reading some good reviews here on Google- the other review are spot on. Dr. Torrey was great. He gave me a routine eye exam and I opted to get contact lenses. Dr. Torrey was really good at explaining the ins and outs of the contact lenses and in teaching me how to get them in and out. Bonus: didnt even have to dilate my eyes.

Great place on larimer to pick up prescription glasses and sunglasses. I got my prescription sunglasses done there and I keep going back for other stuff. They price match and can order whatever glass frames from the various brands that they carry if they don’t have it in stock. They work vm very hard to make sure it’s a good fit. And they are extremely courteous to their patients. Overall A+

The Bent Lens is the best place in Denver to go to for anything eye-related. The staff is beyond friendly and super helpful. As my astigmatism is so severe (so much so that I cannot wear contacts), Dr. Torrey guided me toward the right size and curviture of frame to accommodate my needs. He also understood my need for fashionable non-mom looking glasses as well as addressing my true vision needs. This level of customer service brings me back again and again.

Ive always had a great experience at Bent Lens. Due to Colorados dry climate, finding contacts that worked for me were a bit of a chore -- but the doctor stuck with it until we foind a pair that worked well for me and my picky eyes. Very excited to see their new frames next January when Im eligible for a new complete pair of glasses!
