They have all kinds of cool new technology, even one that eliminates the need to dilate your eyes! The doctor and the staff are so friendly and helpful, especially when picking out glasses. Got my prescription wrong twice, and failed to notify that the (wrong) replacements that had to be-ordered were delayed from the manufacturer. Office staff less than professional when handling the problem (deflection, blame passing, etc).Will be finding a different eye doctor.

Wow! This is my second year with Central Denver Eyecare and I am so happy with them! Their team was very cognizant of following all coronavirus safety measures and I felt extremely safe. The best part was working with Theresa. She was incredibly personable, patient, kind, and informative. I love this office! My first visit was today, and everyone was so friendly. They did a great job at helping me understand what my insurance would cover as well, which was super helpful. The office was also super clean and felt comfortable. My last eye doctor did not give me a very accurate prescription, and Dr. Smith helped fix that and gave me a super clear, accurate prescription. Would highly recommend!

Showed up for my appointment to find out my doctor was not in. Was not informed. When asked why no one called me, everyone in the office tried to push off the responsibility and blame on others, even the owner. Shocked at how unprofessional he was. Wow. Terrible communication and lack of professionalism.

Great eye doctor- made an appointment 2 weeks ahead of time (they had availability a week from when I called) The visit to update my prescription was fast, quick, and easy. They made my experience very simple and my new glasses work very well (glasses purchased elsewhere) they gave me a contact sample that I was able to buy from them very easily and have it shipped to me. Very courteous and professional staff. New to the area, I called on a Tuesday due to floaters and had an appointment that Friday. Dr. Smith did a thorough exam and even sent me to a retinal specialist for completeness. They called and got me in right away. Happy I found me new eye doctor!

The optometrists are excellent but I have purchased several pairs of glasses and one pair took months to arrive which was really poor service. My newest pair I have been back three times and they still dont fit so I guess I cant give the front office staff a very good review despite them being friendly

I’ve been going to different eye doctors for 25 years. By far the best one I’ve seen. The amount of technology they use seems to make everything go more quickly and efficiently. I would say so far from what I see the most accurate glasses/contacts exam I’ve had.

This is a really great office and the staff really are friendly.. The only thing was it seemed and felt more like it was a very quick in and out type thing. The eye doctor I used to go to was extremely thorough and very detailed and you never felt rushed, I dont know I t felt more like the appointment was rushed and didnt feel like I could ask question. I felt more like they just wanted to get me in and out as fast as possible. which is great..just felt like everything was brushed over.

Ive been coming to Central Denver Eyecare for the last 5 years. Even after changing over to Kaiser insurance I have continued to see Dr. Smith and pay out of pocket. The office is extremely efficient, my total time for a contact eye exam was 20-25 minutes (including purchasing my contacts). Dr. Smith provides good comprehensive care with great technology, hard working staff all in a convenient location. I always recommend them to friends who are new to Denver and will stay a patient as long as I live in Denver. Highly recommend.

I never write reviews, but was really disappointed with my experience here after years of being a loyal patient. My contact lens order kept getting cancelled. When I finally called the office, I was informed my prescription expired and I need to come in for an exam. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am not comfortable seeing a doctor right now. They didnt offer any alternatives or any compassion other than suggesting they can give me a new pair of contacts that would only be good for two weeks. I understand the practice needs appointments to be in business, but this policy is really inconsiderate of people who, due to health reasons, cannot come in for an exam right now. I expected better communication and care based on years of good experience here, but they have lost a client.

Customer service was excellent from the ease of making the appointment, checking in, examination, consultation, and updating the prescription to a new pair and in this instance two pairs of glasses.The staff is extremely friendly Dr. Smith is exceptionally knowledgeable as well as personable.They use the latest equipment and technology to make your visit the absolute best.I highly recommend this establishment, personnel and doctors.

Ive had very positive experiences here. They seem to really care about taking care of your eyes and providing good service regarding eyeglasses (and I assume contacts). They even helped me to reuse the previous frames for my reading glasses, saving me money.

Ive been going to Central Denver Eyecare for about 3 years now and Ive always had a great experience. Everyone in the office is very friendly and scheduling an appointment is quick and easy. I never have to wait long to see the doctor for my exam either.

I am SO dissatisfied with the service I received here. I have been a customer since 2016 and had recently changed my address. I let the receptionist know of my address change in March and again last week when I went in for my yearly eye exam. I ordered a year supply of contacts lenses which I was told would be mailed to my home and at the time confirmed my address. 3 days later I get a call saying they are in the office ready to be picked up. After calling and telling them that I was told they were going to be shipped- which the woman on the phone has no idea about- they said they would ship them priority and they would be here by Thursday (today). Yesterday I get a phone call to confirm my address (for the 3rd time) which they stated was my OLD address and that my lenses were going to she shipped there. After returning the call and clarifying that I am at my new address they assured me that my lenses would be here today. Well they are not here and when I called the office the receptionist was clueless. I told her that I would not be returning for future eye exams and all she said was yeah all I see is that they are in transit. I wouldve given 1 star and the only reason I gave 2 was because Dr. Smith is excellent. If only he could get some competent receptionists.

Best eyecare place Ive ever been to! The entire staff was very friendly, helpful, and caring. My husband and I each saw a separate doctor here because of our work schedules, but we both had nothing but positive things to say about our doctors after our visits. I questioned my bill after my services were rendered and the woman that handles billing didnt give me any grief and actually pulled up my eyecare insurance again to re-review it. She quickly admitted her mistake and changed my bill quickly. It shows a lot about staff and a company that can admit their mistakes and keep the customers best interest in mind! I will definitely be staying with this optometrist, even if we move!

Ben and the entire team are very precise and quick to get you in and out. They are always on the cusp of technology. Central downtown location can be tough with parking occasionally but worth the effort.

Central Denver Eyecare is conveniently located close to where I work, so it is very easy to get to. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, which makes the experience enjoyable. When I came in to get glasses, they were very knowledgeable and helped me find a good set of frames within my price range. Dr. Ben Smith is efficient and really knows what hes doing. They are really willing to work with you to get you contacts or glasses that are comfortable and work for you. The prices are also very reasonable, and they take most insurance.

Everything about this place is great. Ive grown up with a fear of the optometrist, similar to how folks fear the dentist, thanks to some issues I had when j was younger with my eyes. Everyone here was so incredibly kind and welcoming. The doctors was informative and friendly. They seemed to be thorough yet efficient, youre not just waiting around for any serious length of time. Also, no dilation! Thats the best right there!

Central Denver Eyecare deserves 10 starts if I could rate them that high. I recently had a horrible experience at a contact doctor and needed to find someone professional who would take care of me and help me get contacts ordered ASAP. Everyone at Central Denver Eyecare was beyond professional and personally cared I had a good experience since I was so upset about my last doctors appointment. I have been wearing contacts for over 15 years so I know what to expect when going to the eye doctor, Central Denver Eyecare exceeded all of my expectations and I would recommend them to anyone.

Had the best experience there. Came in 45 minutes early and they got me in right away, total eye exam was done 20 minutes, quick and painless. Also, the Dr. went over all the pictures of my eye and explained what each part was and how healthy that part is. I definitely recommend these guys!

Everyone was very friendly, but I dont think the doctor is proficient. I went here after reading the reviews. I went for a new prescription and for pain in my eye upon wakening in the morning. I had 2 problems with the diagnosis. For the pain, the doctor recommended rewetting drops. A few months later and still in pain, I went to another doctor that diagnosed this as recurring erosion of the cornea. The new doctor prescribed an ointment for the problem. My second issue is that I couldnt see very well with the new prescription. The office was very kind to remake the glasses with a slight modification in one lens. Im still not comfortable with the eyeglass prescription and I plan to get a new prescription soon as I think the prescription is wrong. They are all very nice, but I dont recommend them.

First optometrist I’ve used since my father in law retired at his practice. I was very pleased. The staff was welcoming and Dr. Smith is very knowledgeable. They had fashionable frame options without it being overwhelming & the tech was personable and had great suggestions to help me choose. He walked me through what exactly everything costs and what insurance covers so no surprises showed up after my visit as far as cost. I highly recommend Dr. Smith and his office.

Great tech for pre-screen went really fast and no dilation, eye exam was mostly painless (didnt like the obligatory yellow eye dye like every doc but who does), their eyeglass selection was good, and I really like their guy who sells the eyeglasses, I forget his name right now but hes a fun Asian guy and he really knows his stuff. I didnt intend to buy glasses at the store because they are significantly overpriced compared to online but I chose to because of their sales person and his attention to making a set of glasses match my facial structure (100% over online) so 4/5 stars, prices could come down, if i didnt have such good insurance I would have never bought what I did, but I love the place, will be back as long as I live in Denver.

Our whole family loves Central Denver Eyecare. They have always been accomodating and available for appointments. Their frame selection is quite nice, and their central location is easy for us to from work and school. Their strongest asset, however, is the staff. All have been friendly, knowledgeble, professional and helpful. We feel well-cared for and confident in their assessments and medical care.

Really late on my review, but Dr. Ben Smith and his staff are phenomenal! They have super speedy service, and booking an appointment is as easy as 1, 2, 3! The wait to get your items is minimal, I personally waited about 6 calendar days to get my glasses. I love this place, and HIGHLY recommend it to everyone I come across needing/finding an optometrist! Making the costumers happy is their vision, and they make sure you leave with all of your needs satisfied! :)

Dr. Smith and his staff are amazing! I have had issues finding the right contact lenses for my eyes and he has seen me even though I dont have appointments scheduled.There was also another time where I messed up and ordered the wrong pair of prescription glasses and Phil was able to reorder the pair of glasses that I originally wanted, rather than making me keep the ones I didnt like.

The optometrist himself was one of the most friendly and down to earth doctors Ive seen. He answered all my questions and I was out of there in no time. My experience at this office was all around wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and funny! The whole process was very fast, super cool technology allows them to see your eyes without having to dilate them. They helped me figure out what type of lenses I would want and I picked out a cute and colorful frame. After I got home from my appointment I realized I also wanted Transitions so I called and they got my order changed right away with no delays. I love my glasses and even though I dont have to wear them all the time Im still pulling them out to show them off, they even gave me a nice hard case for them and a micro fiber cloth! My only complaint is a small one and its about the parking, theres no lot that I could see and of course street parking in that area is a nightmare, but what are us gonna do?
