During quarantine, I ended up growing my hair out, and recently it got to a length where I needed a trim to make it look good. I booked an appointment with Danji at El Salon and could not have made a better choice! He gave me a perfect trim without taking much of the length off so my hair looked great, but then gave me advice on how to take care of it. He had examples for me to look at to tell him what I thought would look nice, and then did exactly what he said he was going to do, and my hair came out like the photos he showed me. Basically, I had no idea what I was doing and was outside of my comfort zone, but Danji made me feel comfortable, and guided me through the process the whole way-- from what products to use, how to dry, and care for my hair now that it was longer! Plus, he kept me laughing and made it an overall great experience. My hair now looks the best it ever has, and I get 2-3 compliments a day on it (before, this was not a thing). Thanks so much Danji! I will be back the next time I need anything done! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Today I got haircut by Danji Godoy at El Salon, it was an extraordinary experience. Danji’s radiates a clean, positive energy which translates in his artistic side as a hair stylist. The precision that he accomplished on my hair hasn’t been given in so many year, this haircut will last me for a while. I have a lot of thick hair which is it hard to work with. I also love the salon, it is a hidden jam.

I see Jessica and let me tell you, she is amazing! Not just from a hairstylist stand point. I hadn’t had my hair done for 3 years and I was so nervous! She made me feel so comfortable and by the time I was done I was feeling myself to say the least. I’ve seen her a few times since and she’s really helped me fall back in love with myself.

I came into El Salon with my hair split half blonde and half black and had the intention of just going back to all blonde. Prior to coming to El Salon i had just used box dye from grocery stores. I had the pleasure of working with Danji who did a phenomenal job of getting my hair back to blonde. Not only did it look good but it felt good. I’ve been coming back since and every time i leave beyond satisfied. I would highly recommend El Salon to everyone!!!

It can be challenging to find a hairstylist patient and meticulous enough to get a cut you like just right. Was very pleased to find how well this salon took care of my hair. They took the time to hear my preferences out, letting me talk through what I have and havent liked in the past. We came up with a plan together, start with the blunt cut first before deciding whether or not to take some weight off the bottom. The cut is perfect. They got it exactly right. Its got the perfect length and blunted-ness all around. I can still play with the part and have it fall perfectly. Ive gotten quite a few compliments on how well it was cut.

Danji is amazinggg. I knew nothing about hair care or styling before I went in. Not only do I get a haircut that works perfectly for my face and personality, I also learn a lot every time. My hair feels and looks way healthier than it did before I met Danji. I had been cutting my own hair (badly) for years because I had some negative experiences that made it hard to trust others to cut my hair. Danji changed that entirely! Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Ive been here twice now for a balayage and cut with Amanda - she is AWESOME! Shes super friendly and takes the time to understand exactly what you want. Everyone else is also very friendly and outgoing. They take serious covid precautions and I always feel safe and taken care of. Always a great experience!

Botched! I went in to see Stephan for partial highlights and came out with bright, orange hair. I didnt notice it until I got home because of the lighting in the salon. He did notice it but didnt say anything to me. I contacted the stylist to fix it the next day, he didnt respond to set up a new appointment and they were closed on Sunday and Monday, I ended up going to another stylist to fix it. Also, the color was brushed too close to the root and when he folded the foil over it bled onto the surrounding hair on my scalp. The owner refused to help or make it right. I will never go back.Theres a lot of things they could have done to rectify the situation but they were rude and awful. I was mortified and had to wear a hat for several days until I could get it fixed. If Stephan had taken 5 minutes to reply back to me and let me know when I could come in, I would have done it. But after two days and a busy work schedule I needed to go someplace else to fix it. Frustrating.

I returned to El Salon after the stay-at-home restriction was modified and salons could open. I was very impressed with all the safety measures - masks required and provided, disinfection of each station after use with a timer set to ensure disinfection would be effective, one-use pens, no-touch payment, limited number of occupants in the salon. I felt very comfortable seeing the diligence and concern for safety. So make yourself feel better and get your hair cut and colored!

I’ve been searching for a new salon for a long time and I finally found it. This little salon was the best experience I’ve had in years. I walked in and immediately saw my name on a welcome board! Such a personal touch. My stylist, Brad, was genuine and kind and really took the time to discuss what I was looking for and assess my hair thoroughly. What I left with was the best cut and color I’ve had in a long time. Happy to have found my new hair home.

Recently, I had my hair done, and was very reassured by the extensive safety precautions they have worked hard to put into place in light of the COVID 19 situation. I have been going to see Brad for years. I love him! It is so great to walk in , suggest a few ideas, and walk out looking amazing, unique and fun! He has a wonderful way of getting what you want! If you are looking for a colorist, you found the right artist! It is fun to spend an hour visiting, relaxing(shampoo to die for) and my hair not only looks fantastic but it has never been so soft. Ted is a true professional and worth the master class status. I paid a bit more then I’m used to but really there’s no comparison with quality and time he’s spent. He is very much a perfectionist. I like when leaving the other clientele are amazed at his artistry. I’ve never had a male stylist so this was different for me. The decor is chic and modern. Ted has a scissor business too. I’ve never seen someone make my hair behave. He definitely has master over his work.

After many years of patronage to El Salon, one after another of my stylist quit. I tried a salon near my house, which I liked, but El Salon offered a great gift card purchase, so I thought Id give them another try. When I called to make an appointment the first time I was put on hold for three minutes when I finally hung up and called another day. Despite the inauspicious start, I was able to make an appointment with a stylist who was open. Ill just cut straight to the chase, I was shocked at the change in atmosphere of the salon and even more shocked when I was checking out and found out that my partial highlight and cut would be $215, despite the posted pricing stating otherwise ($145). I asked the receptionist why it was so much and she said that my stylist was a level 3 stylist which meant that he charged more. After telling her that I requested any stylist and wasnt informed that my chosen one was expensive, she suggested that next time I inquire about the level of stylist Im receiving. WOW! Lesson learned. Nothing like being gouged for money. Cant say this was a winning move on El Salons part to bring back customers. I certainly dont feel as if El Salon was forthcoming and will definitely not be returning, ever.

First of all, this is the cutest place Ive ever been to. Tucked away in the residential neighborhood, its easy to let your eyes go past. Do yourself a favor and stop in. I saw Taylor and she was fantastic. She listened to what I had to say and suggested things using pictures so I could clearly see what she was thinking. She even spent time at the end showing me how to style my hair in terms that even I can understand. I will DEFINITELY be returning!

I have been getting my hair cut and colored by Samantha for about 5 years, and she is wonderful! Ron is a hair genius! I started going to him about 2 years ago, and I have never been disappointed. He always takes the time to consult with me before getting started. I have short hair, and I get bored easily, so I like to switch it up a lot, and he totally keeps up! I have lived in Denver for 6 years, and he is the 8th stylist Ive tried. Yes, Im picky. It takes a special skill and eye to cut short, funky hair. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because there have been 2 price increases in the 2 years Ive been going there - Im not totally opposed to this, but advance notice before paying at the end of my haircut would have been nice. They have everyones phone # and/or email for confirmations, so I think this would have been fairly simple to let clients know ahead of time. Regardless, Im a client for life. The staff is wonderful, and the place is very cozy and homey. Thanks Ron, for always making me look better than I do normally! :-)

Have been going and getting my hair color for almost a year now. Love this salon and everyone who works there! Always greeted with friendly faces when I walk in, the salon pup is ready for attention and scratches, and all of the wash and cut stations are in a open area which helps make the whole experience feel more like a family hang out spot than a uptight get in get out salon.I personally go to Amanda and she is always able to pull from my few words exactly what I want. She helped me go from a dyed dark brunette back closer to my natural blonde. She is able to place highlights around the few light patches I have which makes it look like so natural. She has also done an updo for me for a big company event and it looked amazing!!!You cant go wrong with anyone at this salon though! It is filled with very talented and friendly stylist. Could not recommend this salon enough if you are looking for a salon in Denver.

I love this salon!! I have been going to Joel Pelanek for the last 9 months for cut and color ( mostly bleach and tones). He is FANTASTIC!! I came to him with a very daunting task, fix the damage from another stylist ( I use that term loosely in regard to this person whom I saw twice at a different salon). He talked me down from my desire to channel my inner Brittany Spears at the height of her meltdown, and thank goodness because my hair is coming back to life. I never leave his chair feeling less than amazing. There is a tremendous amount of talent in this salon. They take pride in the high level of continuing education and events they participate in. Its busy and professional, but still comfortable and welcoming. Plus everyone is always super friendly!
