I loved Danae! I originally got my tips dyed by another stylists and they were not the color I asked for and when Danae redid them, they were GORGEOUS. I have only gone back to her for any color or cuts I need. She is very nice to talk to and has a light hand that doesnt even feel like shes touching your head. She is, in my opinion, the best there :)

I called them on the Saturday 18th hoping to book a color and cut service (with Alexis). They asked me to text them pictures of my current hair, which I did immediately after the call ended - no problem. By the 21st, I hadnt gotten a response, so I sent another text asking when Id hear back. Its now the 23rd, and I still havent received a text back. So, never mind. Shouldnt take them this long to get back to me just to schedule an appointment. Dont know why you guys ice out potential clients.

Autumn installed my hair extensions. She walked me through the process at our consultation, studied my hair and assured me that I was the suitable candidate to get extensions.The process took nearly 4 hours, but between my primary stylist and Denton color lab, Autumn was able to color my extensions, glaze my hair to match and install the visible bead extension technique.This service is very expensive, and maintaining it is also expensive.I thought it was worth it for my wedding day.

OMG!!!!! This place was amazing!!! From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out, everyone was so friendly and made me feel so welcomes and it was 7:30pm!!! I walked in with deprived mom curly hair and Leslie legit made me feel so free and brought my hair back!!! My hair was mid back and we cut if to right above my shoulder and i AM IN LOVE WITH IT!! I finally found hair my place!!!! Already booked my next appointment and can’t wait!! Huge thank you Leslie for giving me a part of me back!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Denton color lab is beautiful on the inside however not so much when it comes to making a appointment. I made a appointment for a full color one day and then got called the day of the appointment to get told it would have to be rescheduled because reception did not place enough time… On top of that if you do not with to at the least spend $400 on your hair this is not the place for you and they make that very clear.

Alaina is a phenomenal hairstylist. I brought her a few photos of what I was looking for and she was able to fulfill my request perfectly. I left the salon feeling so cared for and I am generally super picky about my hair color. Highly recommend!

Kay was amazing! I keep catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror and being surprised that it’s me because I’m not used to my hair looking this good. She listened to all my concerns (hair trauma is real). She was knowledgeable about my hair type and recommended products. The cherry on top is that she was fun to chat with. Thank you!

Nicole is a talented, saint who transformed my hair for my wedding day. The day before, my typical hairdresser absolutely butchered a balayage, leaving streaky highlights on my hair (the BEFORE picture) I was in distress and was calling all over to find someone who could help me on short notice and fix my hair before my big day. This salon was the ONLY salon compassionate enough to hear what happened, and do everything in their power to help.Nicole squeezed me the day I called. For the entire duration of the appointment, she was kind, understanding, and determined to fix my botched hair. Her attention to detail and patience are easily exhibited by the fact that she wont settle until everything is perfect. It meant so much that Nicole went the extra mile for my hair. I was so comfortable in the atmosphere and just knew everything would work out, and holy moly did it. This salon has the highest quality humans (I had the pleasure of working with Nicole, Kaitlyn, and Beck, yall rock!!) ambiance and comfortability.My hair is more beautiful than ANYTHING I could have ever asked for. This will be the only salon I will use for hair color from here on out. 100% recommend this salon for any current and future hair needs :)

I am so happy with my hair. Lexi did a color correction from another salon. She listened to me and communicated what her plan was. When she was finished my highlights were still a little brassy and she was able to fix it really quick. The salon staff are all very friendly. Ill definitely be going back.

Poor customer service. RUDE brought my mom for a haircut cause she is older and she does not drive first had to wait in the car for or over 20 minutes because we are early then people leave out and they still asked me and my son to wait outside due to to capacity. Well if they knew how to book appointments maybe capacity would not be a problem. Dont misunderstand everyone is knowledgeable about coronavirus but you should not pick and choose what customers you ask to wait outside in their car. While some people brought extra people to their appointment and they was allowed to sit inside. I am not the one who uses the word Discrimination but that is sure what it felt like. They will not get my business anymore because the service is not all that coming from someone who gets their hair done in Dallas at a PROFESSIONAL SALON. You need to do better!!!!!

I have been going to DCL since they opened their doors and I have never left being anything less than thrilled with my hair. Go see them!!! You deserve it and won’t regret it!!!!

Lauren did my hair, she is a sweetheart, Im so impressed with her work. I was skeptical going to a salon shortly after they opened (covid), but they took many precautions at DCL. I had to wait in my car for my appointment instead of the seating area, I was given hand sanitizer at the door, required to wear a mask, and temperature taken. There was also space between stations and dividers up between the sinks for washing. I got like a golden blonde balayage on my brown hair. I have a lot of hair, it was around $200 which I found to be reasonable. The whole process took about 3 hours and Lauren straightened my hair after. She told me the colors would lighten after a few washes, which they did and Im even more pleased with the results. I wanted something that looked natural, not blocky or too blonde and she did a nice job helping me get the look I was going for. Thank you DCL!

Summer and Alexis came up with a great game plan to keep my hair healthy and beautiful while achieving the color that I have been trying to get. All the ladies who work here are sweet and attentive. I will definitely be coming back and I will tell everyone who will listen about my amazing experience. If I could give 10 stars I would.

This place was amazing. decorated so cute and was obviously very clean. alaina cut my hair BEAUTIFULLY - my bangs have never looked so good. i was deciding between getting color or not and she told me very nicely that we wouldnt have time, but im not even mad because now i have a reason to come back! VERY good price for what i got and how much time she spent on it. i hadnt even left the building before recommending it to a friend.

I seriously LOVED it!!! I used box dye for my hair (horrible idea) and I needed it fixed called early in the morning got an appointment for a later time in the day. So glad I came here they fixed my hair and left it feeling so soft and healthy!!!! Definitely coming back here!! Great work ethic Katie did an awesome job and was super nice and polite.

I got my hair done here at the first of January. Everything seemed to be going great. My hair color came out great. They also offer complimentary drinks. However they charged me $130 just for a hair color. That is a lot more expensive then the other top quality salons I go to that are much cheaper. But I was willing to give them a chance. My stylist was a new level 1 stylist so that’s probably part of the problem.So when I get home I realized the stylist had gotten black hair dye all over my brand new sweater. She completely ruined it. When I first tried to tell the owner she argued a little at first and I felt like I was given a hard time. Especially after all the money I had spent in her salon. But after I sent her a few pictures of my sweater and all of the black hair dye she finally gave me a partial refund of what my sweater was worth. I just didn’t like being treated this way in general after paying so much money!

This is THE ONLY place I have gone for the past few years. Having awful haircut experiences in the past at other salons, I simply cannot choose any other salon. Although I do have a hair stylist preference because I love her personality, any stylist who works there is held to a high standard and every one of them do amazing work! Additionally, my color always comes out looking fresh and gorgeous! Complimentary drink, nice environment, and amazing stylists... they check every box!

I am so picky about who does my hair. I have only gone to Denton Color Lab for the last few years and I am so happy that I found them! I love the atmosphere in the salon, and i especially appreciate the amazing job Alexis does with my hair. She understands it and always helps me look my best. I have a regular hairstylist at home, but since I moved to Denton I needed to find a new hairstylist nearby. A friend recommended I come here and checked out their website to find wonderful work. So I booked an appointment and was really excited to dye my hair! Unfortunately, the person I booked with was not ready for me. I waited half an hour and was hoping my time would be taken into consideration.

I was going to just put this whole experience behind me, but after giving it some thought I decided it would be better for me to publicly share what happened so that others dont have to have the same experience that I did. I have been suffering from some pretty severe depression and wanted to transform my look to help bring me out of it. Unfortunately, that did not happen at Denton Color Lab. For reference, my natural hair color is dark brown and I keep it cut in a layered bob. I wanted to go a champagne blonde with soft pink undertones, and leave the roots natural in a sort of ombre effect. This is not my first time having my hair colored, and in the past I have never paid more than $175 for a root-to-tip ombre. When my stylist, Alexis, initially gave me my estimate, she said it would cost $400. Obviously this is way above any average persons budget to get their hair done, but I was still really excited about going blonde and had been looking forward to it for weeks. I decided to go ahead and let her do my hair (which I vehemently regret), but I simply couldnt afford to spend as much as she was asking for. She wouldnt budge at all price-wise, and said that for $300 she could do a balayage. Ive never had a balayage before, but I did like the pictures she was showing me, so I reluctantly agreed to pay her absurd price. BIG MISTAKE. I ended up with just some subtle highlights that no one has even noticed, and it took her five hours. I left the salon in tears, feeling even worse about myself than before and severely taken advantage of. Im rather timid and soft-spoken, so it was very difficult for me to voice how her negative treatment was affecting me. I regret ever even making this appointment, as the whole experience was simply awful. Do not go to this salon if you value your money and/or decency.

My go to colorist is Alexis! I have been seeing her for the past three years and every time I go I LOVE the results. She is so professional and truly loves what she does. I HIGHLY recommend Alexis and Denton Color Lab! The entire staff is super friendly.

This was my first time visiting and I was in desperate need for a haircut. Peyton was my stylist and she is awesome!!! She seriously put a lot of care and detail into cutting my hair including looking up reference pics. I just love what she did did with it. She had a woman helping her and I feel bad because I don’t remember her name, but she was also great! She washed my hair and gave me a wonderful scalp massage. I had to fight going to sleep, it was super relaxing. I felt like Peyton really listened to what I wanted and delivered beautifully. She often said she wanted to perfect something she was cutting on my hair before moving on and I really appreciate that! I will be returning in July!!!

Not all heroes wear capes! They are LIFE SAVERS! I managed to turn my hair green after a quarantine experiment gone WRONG. They took me in and fixed my mistake and made me feel beautiful again 💕 I recommend HIGHLY to come here for anything and everything because they take care of you so well!

She was very honest with what my hair would look like. Im blown away with what she was able to do. I have never felt so comfortable with a hairstylist. Everyone was very friendly and nice. I do not remember the name of the stylist who cut my hair, but she did a great job! They were not very punctual and I did get antsy, but it was worth the wait!

My experience with Denton Color Lab was about a year ago, but it’s taken all of this time to fix what happened to my hair. I went in asking for a a dark caramel balayage. I showed pictures and told the stylist that I wanted to still have brown hair, not much of any blonde. I wanted to have a variation between dark/medium brown hair. After an hour or two of being at the salon she blow dryer my hair and it was blonde, a level 7. I had asked for a level 3 at my roots and a level 5 at my ends. After leaving with blonde hair, I called back the next day asking for it to be corrected. I came back and they tried correcting it, but unfortunately they had bleached my hair too light and it no longer would hold color. I’ve spent the last year growing out my hair and cutting it to finally cutting off most of the blonde. I’ve had to see other stylists since then to keep coloring my hair every 6-8 weeks to cover the blonde. I was disappointed that I paid nearly $400 and they still couldn’t fix my hair. If your looking to be blonde this is the place for you, but I wouldn’t recommend for anything else. Honestly you can find better salons than this for the same price.

I had a consultation this Thursday night the place is spotless, have good music while getting any hair services, and they offer drinks while you wait. The staff is friendly, nice love to talk the customers last they are professionals on hair Lauren did my hair color, root touch-up also haircut cute and pretty Lauren and the whole team are tops in my book yay yay!!😍💗

I went here for the first time and the salon is very sleek and modern, they even have a charging station for your phone.I have tried several salons since moving here and this one is by far the best in quality and customer service that I have found. The employees there are of various ages etc and they are all super friendly and gorgeous! You should definitely give this salon a try.

Alaina is GOD sent. I went for a much needed haircut yesterday to a very expensive salon in Las Colinas and the stylist botched my hair so bad that right after I had to go to another salon up the street to try to fix it to find they did not do any better. My hair went from long and me asking for just a trim to my hair cut chin length. I have cried for two days and found Denton Color Lab online and made an appointment just for a consultation but thank GOD Alaina was there. She saw my hair and too could not understand the cut but miraculously fixed it. I honestly thought there was no hope but Alaina brought the smile back to my face. THANK YOU!!! anyone looking for a hairstylist look no more trust me I know how hard it is to find one but she is naturally gifted!

I cant recommend this salon enough. Not only was my stylist (Danae) phenomenal, every other stylist there was incredibly friendly and welcoming to me. The place is really sleek and clean, and has an overall great vibe. They have lots of complimentary drink choices, including mimosas with fresh fruit. I have never been so pleased with how my hair turned out. I will definitely be back!

I was very disappointed with this place. It started off pretty well I got my hair done and it ended up costing me $250 after 2 weeks the color came out. I went back for my next appointment and told her I needed something more permanent for how much I’m paying. So this time it lasted me about 2 months but still was very faded and costed me about $260. I was looking at my hair when I came home and she cut my baby hair in the back my mistake and it looks like a have a rat tail.... at least it’s in the back. The 3rd time I went I told her I want something extremely permanent now because I am spending way 2 much money for this nonsense work. She told me she didn’t know if she could do it because she has many clients that day. First of all for how much money I’m spending I should get what I want!!! And don’t over book if you can’t do the work!! Super unprofessional!! Don’t get me wrong it was very beautiful what she did but didn’t last and didn’t put my needs first. I also texted her about sending my hair pictures to me and she never responded.. they are really nice people always asked if I needed something to drink but sadly more negative things. Won’t be going back!

If you need a hair cut, colored, or even color corrected then this is the place for you. Very friendly staff and gentle on your hair. They also give complimentary drinks with your service. Do not buy over the counter dye. It will ruin your hair.

The number one thing I hate is when people over book themselves. I understand life happens and I’m fine with that. But Please be courteous enough to let the person know you are running behind! My appointment was an hour behind and when she finally did get to me it felt very rushed. My hair cut is fine but I’m not in love with it, didn’t really get a style after either.Now on the other hand my daughter got a hair cut and her appointment was started on time and I love how cute her hair came out. The girl even styled it after. If I go back I will be requesting that she cut both of our hair.

We took our daughter here for the first time today to get Balayage done to her hair. Her appointment was with Kaylee and she did a superior job! My daughter is extremely happy and Kaylee not only picked up my daughter as a new customer, she got my wife’s business too. Both will be using Kaylee from now on.

I had some grays to take care of. This was not a whole dye job. It cost over $200 and not a very good job. Some major areas missed up front!

I had my hair done, before school started. My it turns out my “balayage” has more of a red tone than an ashy tone. There was good money paid into it and now it just looks a weird red.

Unprofessional! I was 16 minutes late to my appointment and the person that I had my appointment with said she could not see me because she has other people after me. That if I would have called saying I was lost then they could have worked something out. Which is ridiculous. Very unprofessional I would not recommend anyone to visit this place.

I don’t have enough great things to say about Peyton and my experience at Denton Color Lab. I am a hairstylist myself in the DFW area, and I wanted one of their top-level, best stylists and I absolutely found her in Peyton.She is very efficient and listens to what you are hoping to achieve and is realistic about the cost and process. I was charged exactly what I was quoted and she was direct in telling me that it would take probably 2 sessions to achieve what I wanted in order to maintain the integrity of my hair. These qualities are invaluable in a hairdresser.Even with another session needed to get me as light as I want, the color I left with is phenomenal and I am obsessed with the cut. I can’t wait to go back!The cosmetology industry is saturated with many stylists who will thrash your hair in one sitting just to collect your money. If you find a skilled colorist that maintains your hairs integrity, and it costs you a little more, pay them what they are worth. They are hard to find!

The owner, Summer, dd my hair. She was fabulous. So attentive and asked lots of questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. She wanted to make sure that it was what I was asking for! And she styled it afterward really pretty. I will definitely be back! She gave me a sample of some shampoo I had been eyeing as well.

I have been going to Elizabeth since April when we moved here and that girl has gone above and beyond!! From coloring correcting to attempting the pinwheel- which she MASTERED by the way! Even tho it was something she had never done she never once said no and she gave it everything she had!! This place is the best place in denton!!

The place and people were nice. The cut of part of my hair was great, however, my bangs were cut too short and super uneven. This was the only thing I wasn’t pleased with and since it’s a big part of my hair this is why I won’t be returning. Everything else was very satisfactory.

Alexis rejuvenated my hair (see photo for proof).This was my first visit to Denton Color Lab and my visit exceeded my expectations. My appointment was scheduled for 1:00 and I did not have to wait at all. Alexis spent time discussing my past color history and my hair goals. The whole time I was there I felt like a priority! This place is so cool! I had Andrea, and came to this place because I was fed up with my last hair salon. I really needed to get my hair ready for my upcoming wedding at the time and she was awesome! Andrea, you go gurl😍 it sucks though, because right after I started going to her, my new husband and I had to move to Arizona for his job. :(

I had highlighted blonde hair that I tried dying dark blonde with a box. It went ashy so I went to Denton Color Lab to get it fixed. The girl who did my hair said it wasnt too bad and it was still pretty light so I was asked what color I wanted my hair dyed to cover the ashy color. I said a dark strawberry blonde. I left with medium brown hair and it still ashy. I came back a week later to get it fixed again. For them to correct my hair stylists mistake they had to dye it a warm dark brown. I really didnt want dark hair, but now I am stuck and afraid of what its going to do to my hair to lighten it back up where I originally wanted it. Really disappointed, thought they were color specialists.

My wife got her hair colored and cut here and her hairdresser did great!Even when a spot was missed they took the time to go back and made it look awesome!
