I have worked in the nursing home side for 8 years now. I love it here. The staff are amazing and love the residents. Our staff are dedicated to patient care and helping each other. Under Nursing Home Compare, we are a 5 STAR FACILITY

Horrible place to work and I pray for the people who have their families there. I had never worked there before. When I walked in I was assigned, patients. It was short-staffed due to someone not showing up and I asked the nurse for a report on the patients. The nurse told me she did not know and to go find the other aide. I was shocked as to how a nurse is taking care of patients and does not know about them.  The place was in disarray, with no supplies or gloves in the room. No PPE gear outside of a room that is contagious (someone had to ask for it to be placed out there).  The nurses will see the call lights going off and would not answer them. The OT would wait for the two CNAs they had to get patients up or change them even if they were not available. They would leave a patient sitting in their stool or urine until an aide was free. I was told by the nurse it isnt her job to clean a patient, turn a patient, etc. She has a DEGREE in nursing and she is not an adie. The nurse gave a patient a pain pill and left him in the wheelchair because she did not want to take two seconds to put him in the bed. When I got to the room he was about to fall out of his chair because he was drowsy. I peeked out and asked her for help and she told me, that is not her job. I have never seen a more deplorable workplace and its conditions. They did not use Hoyer lifts on patients who were assigned and demanded we pick them up to transfer. Everything about morals and ethics went out the door working here. The patients were ignored, unattended to, No one seemed to care.  Please, dont have a voice to speak up for what is right because it will stir up drama. All  I saw was a bunch of women talking about each other all day while patients needs went unattended. I was mentally drained when I left there. Maybe I should stick to my degreed area since it was pointed out those with them (I have a degree in another area), have to not have simple compassion. I will be filing a complaint

My mother stays in the nursing home side of the facility. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The biggest concern I have is the smell that worsens as you walk further into the facility.

The Vintage has always been friendly and attentive to my family members. There have been times when I thought that they don’t get tended to quick enough, but i also realize that there are many that need tended too. Of course I’ve been unable to visit during this time of covid, but what I always liked was that the turnover for the employees that work with my family is low. These people have always been personable and friendly.

This facility is absolutely wonderful!. The staff are all so helpful and caring. Most of them have been there for several years, including the administrator being there for 26 years! Thats almost unheard in this business. Needless to say, Im extremely impressed and would recommend anyone send your loved one there for either short term rehab or long term care.

Horrible! Aids are treated poorly due to understaffing. Debra Barnes the Director is usually seen walking around not helping the aides at all. Ashamed to have to my mother here, currently looking to relocate after COVID. Beatrice is a CNA is never on the floor when the other aides are understaffed and overwhelmed with call lights.

I visited this morning, and I liked it, except for one big thing---the Menu. The food is what I would call home cooking, which in this part of the country means foods high in fat, high in cholesterol, high in salt, and high in sugar. For breakfast every morning, its scrambled eggs and bacon, sausage or cinnamon toast.I will show the menu to my cardiologist and get his opinion. But for those who are obese, pre-diabetic and have high blood pressure, the menu is not healthy. And it lacks variety. This is what cafeteria style means.

So many negative things to say about this place. I would LOVE to have a conversation with the people actually running this place because I feel like there are breakdowns on several levels. I have worked in nursing home/assisted living/rehab facilities in the past and it was a mistake on my part to let my grandmother be admitted here. I tried to give them a little leniency in the beginning being that I found their intake procedures lacking severely in organization. In the last 36 hours I have found multiple things that put me on the verge of reporting them to the state. The staff has been rude, blown of requests for answers/help, caused unnecessary pain, and demeaned my grandmother. We are currently working on getting a transfer out.
