I was in excruciating sciatic pain down my right leg and losing function in that leg when Dr. Stewart Eidelson operated on me at Delray Medical Center on March 16, 2001. I went into the hospital in a wheel chair and came out of lumbar spine surgery with the sciatica totally gone. It’s been 4 months and my right leg is pain free. When I first went to see Dr. Eidelson I had severe lower back pain and difficulty sitting, standing, walking or sleeping. He performed surgery that allowed me to walk out of the hospital near pain free after just a few days. 8 years after the surgery I started having issues with Sciatica pain. I received a series of shots from Dr. Eidelson which gave me some relief. I was scheduled for a Radio Frequency Ablation on my lower back with Dr. Reuter . I am again pain free. There is no other doctor I’d allow toOperate on my back. Dr Eidelson and his staff took the best care of me.I had surgery 12 years ago and then again this past june. It’s unbelievable how different an experience I had. Had I gone to Dr Eidelson in the first place I never would have needed another surgery. For over five years my wife dealt with ever-increasing levels of back pain and disruptions in activities of daily living. After working in the automotive and light truck repair business for almost forty years my lower back was in very bad condition . it started with an injury about thirty years ago while lifting some truck tires . since that day my back was never the same . I have been to many chiropractors and therapists over the years and I would ocassionally get some relief but eventually the pain would increase . Three years ago I went to see an orthopedic and was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and told that I needed spinal fusion .I didnt want to have the surgery and could not take off work for the amount of time needed to recover . Last August I reinjured my lower back and could barely move . After going through workmens comp for about 3 months and seeing their doctors they acknowledged that I needed spinal fusion but would not pay for it . He ( Dr. Eidelson) may have been a good doctor at one time but he should retire. Very poor communication with the patients. Last office visit with Dr. Reuter was successful in taking care of my back pain. Todays visit, with Eidelson asked whether to continue taking the last 2 prescriptions or to stop, was not given a good response. After his 2 minutes with me, he left the room. I heard him tell the nurse that room #4 was done, to get me out of there and get someone else in there . Sounds like a production line to me. I will not be returning to this practice.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Eidelson! I had to stop in Atlanta on my way to relocate to Florida to see a back doctor as I could not even walk. He told me that the only way my back would get better was through surgery. When I contacted Dr. Eidelson upon my arrival in Delray Beach I was prepared for the worst and was pleasantly surprised when he said we dont mention the S word in this office unless all else fails - and believe me there are lots of other options in Dr. Eidelsons book! I went to Dr. Eidelson for a second opinion after another surgeon recommended 4-level lumbar fusion. Dr. Eidelson followed a much more conservative treatment. After a series of injections and PT, my symptoms have pretty much disappeared, with no surgery on the horizon. I especially want to note the excellent work of physical therapist Vince Forzano. He really cares about teaching patients the right way to do exercises, to build muscle and protect the spine. My strength and energy also improved greatly working with Vince. Dr. Eidelson is the most skillful doctor I have seen for shots in my back. His injections were relatively painless and gave me relief which enabled me to pursue every day activities. Dr. Eidelson is a miracle-worker, and Im not exaggerating. I am a 42-year old healthy and physically active woman who has been massaging and ballet dancing for many years. I woke up one morning and could not walk upright, I was literally bent at the waist at a 90-degree angle and could not straighten back up. I had to sleep in a recliner sitting up and had to use a walker to get around my house. I tried to wait it out, hoping this was just a severe spasm that would eventually release, but after a few days I couldnt take the excruciating pain anymore, it traveled from my lower back down my left leg to my ankle. We tried everything we could to reduce my pain, but it got to the point where nothing worked and my pain had become unbearable. For the 2nd time in one week, I wound up in the E R. I had to have an emergency laminectomy and discectomy. Dr. Eidelson is like no doctor Ive ever met. I was absolutely terrified of having surgery, so much so that when the E.R. nurse told me I was being admitted for emergency surgery, I was literally shaking. But Dr. Eidelson was right there with me every step of the way. He even gives you his personal number, so if you have any questions or concerns post-op, he is right there to help you. He will even check in on you post-op to make sure you are feeling ok. They dont make doctors/surgeons like this anymore, he is the standard to which all other doctors should aspire to. Just a kind, caring person who loves what he does and truly cares about his patients. I am happy to report, its been only 2 weeks since my surgery and I am pain-free! I dont take any pain medications or anti-inflammatories and I am already back to my daily routines! I am now able to walk my dogs for a mile, cook, clean, go back to work to massage, I am absolutely amazed at how fast I have recovered. Dr Eidelson is a miracle worker. My mother Marilyn was in such excruciating pain she was at her wits end and depressed over her compromised life style. Five years ago my husband could barely walk due to spinal cord and spinal nerve compression caused by severe spinal stenosis. Well, I fought the good fight and had done all I can. Rehab, 3 times a week, Pool Exercising, Nerve Blocks. After about 4 months of on and off excruciating pain I had decided it was time for another alternative. Sadly, I was ready for Surgery. My husband had done all the shopping and shuttling me back and forth to Doctors and Rehab. I had not been in a store, other than a Pharmacy, in all this time. I sometimes could not even stand in the kitchen to cook meals, let alone do daily chores. Driving had been “iffy” depending on whether or not I was experiencing a “flair up”. I would have to put a steel rod in your back.” “OUCH!”OK............We then get a packet including the book he wrote on Spinal Stenosis. Then he asks where my back brace is. “HUH?” Out come his assistants and they fit me for a very comfy brace. It feels so good. He then proceeds to ask me if I have tried a block. “Yup” and I’m supposed to go into the hospital for another tomorrow”, I replied. He then said that HE was going to give me the shot, right then and there in his office.What? No Hospital? No Fasting? No IVs? No Oxygen? No Hospital Gowns and Hairnets? OK, you get my point. I was terrified.After extensive Xrays, His Nurse lays me down on a massage table, pulls up my shirt, lowers my shorts and Done. No pain.I think you are starting to get the moral of the story. Dr. Eidelson does not have a Fancy, Ortho Mill. The Hospital was not necessary @ $3,000 a Pop. This Dr. Injected me in an entirely different place on my back!So the PS is I cancelled the Hospital Shot for the next day. I’m sitting now, here in my brace, with greatly reduced pain. I guess we will see. Do I like the brace? Yes, it feels good. Do I care what it looks like? At this point, “No”.Dr. Eidelson was the first Dr. who really helped me. Highly recommend!

Simply stated, Dr.Eidelson is a true God send. My husband Jason is 41 and had already had 2 surgeries on the L4/L5/S1 due to Stenosis, degenerative disc disease and extreme sciatic nerve pain. I have never trusted a doctor as much Dr. Eidelson! He listens to me even when the screens dont support my pain. In my case I am 49 yrs old and have had a series of events that supported several surgeries resulting in screws and rods in my lower back. I can text him anytime with good news or bad news as to my condition! Never met a doctor in my life that gives me full access to him at anytime with his cell number. The girls in the office are very caring and concerned especially Michelle and Carol, they are the front office faces of this operation! My husband suffered with lower back pain for months and refused to see an orthopedist as he was sure surgery would be recommended. On the advice of a friend I finally convinced him to see Dr. Stewart Eidelson of Delray Beach. At that first appointment we were seen promptly and everybody was extremely courteous and friendly. The office is run like a well-oiled machine. We liked Dr. Eidelson immediately. We found him to be very caring and very thorough. He did not recommend surgery. In fact, he always tries to find other solutions before recommending surgery. When we left Dr. Eidelson provided us with his personal cell phone number just in case there were any issues. After being treated during that first visit my husbands pain was completely gone. We went back for a follow-up visit three weeks later and Dr. Eidelson was so glad my husband was pain free and had no further need of his services at this time.

I came to Dr eidelson for a second opinion, after being told I would need surgery by a different orthopedic surgeon. Mind you I was down from PA. as a winter resident and was not happy with the severe pàin I was experiencing. Meeting Dr E. was a godsend. He told me surgery was the last decision he would make and damn if he wasnt right. I have had a spinal fusion, discectomy and several facet injections over the last 2.5 yrs., still experiencing pain. All performed in PA. With promises of relief, no such luck. I brought my MRI,s and cat scans, after examining the results Dr E. decided to give me an injection. I immediately said to myself on no not this crap again , however I had no choice. The best thing I ever did. I had immediate relief which I did not expect , but sure enough I was walking swimming and enjoying life. Thank you Dr. E you do have an art and if I need another injection I will fly back down for an injection or surgery. Yes you are god and thank you so much for everything you have done.

As an electrical contractor I met Dr Eidelson 15 years ago. Thought out those years weve become friends and weve helped each other in multiple ways. In the time Ive known him he is the kindest and most caring man I have ever met. Give out your cell phone number to every single patient, un heard of but thats Dr Eidelson. Surgery was very successful. A doctor who cares about his patients and is always available to answer all questions.

My back was in bad shape. I had spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, diskherniation . Dr. Eidelson saved my life and made it possible for me to livewith no pain and the ability to walk again. The surgery was very complicated, it included a lumbar laminectomy on L2, L3, complex inter body fusion with Spine Arch Juliet cage, bone grafts and rhizotomy. I spent 5 days in the hospital being closely monitored. Then I spent 3 weeks in rehab, and with excellent care I was finally discharged. My wife communicated with him daily. I owe my life to Dr. Eidelson.

I have had back and sciatic pain for years. Pain became much worse in the last year. I researched all the spine surgeons and found Dr Eidelson to be the best back surgeon and most recommended. Drs: Eidelson, Molesky and Geisse (who Ive seen thus far) are all the most competent and professional practitioners of lower back pain that Ive ever experienced. All other operations should be shut down and remodeled after these folks. Im a 12 years veteran of severe back pain, maybe I know a thing or two.

BE VERY CAREFUL! This doctor may have excellent credentials but it is an assembly line in his office! Dr Eidelson quickly laid me down, shot a cotisone needle in each side (Im certain he did not use a flueroscope), and he damaged my nerveI I was in agony for 2 months and my leg atrophied. The trauma caused a cyst to develop and another (wonderful) orthopedic surgeon, did a lamenectomy and removed the cyst. I still have weak left side, but I am human again.Stay away from this doctor at all costs!!

I have seen Dr. Eidelson for more than 9 years. As a health care provider myself, I can only say he is over the top . He is conservative in his treatment approach and gives out his cell phone so a patient never has to worry if they need a question answered after hours. He gets an A+Dr. M Weinman
