A superior medical service for prostate cancer counseling, advice and treatment, utilizing the most modern MRI equipment with competent and caring personnel. Read Dr. Sperlings articles on the website. You wont get this information from urologists or most other medical professionals. Be aware of the alternatives to surgery, radiation and other conventional procedures. Get fully informed about Focal Laser Ablation before making a decision. Had FLA in 2016 with Dr Sperling and bled out causing a trip to the emergency room. Had 2 transfusions and a few days in the hospital. Not sure what went wrong, but to say the least not a great experience. PSA has continued to climb since then and annual MRIs showed areas of concern, but with little change year over year. Recently had a MRI & biopsy with Dr. Busch and now have gleason 4+3, second review by Johns Hopkins confirmed the biopsy results. I also found Dr Sperlings office staff nice, but unorganized and not responsive most of the time.

The fear of learning I may have prostate cancer caused me to begin researching the internet feverishly for getting up to date information on the newest, latest technology on the subject. Dr. Dan Sperling offered up what seemed to be the most logical, common sense solution to verifying with a high resolution 3T guided MRI biopsy. I live 6 hours from his clinic by plane so my decision to travel that distance was a big commitment of time and money. I wasnt an easy sell. However, I was so impressed with the Patient Educator RN Jackie that my skepticism diminished quickly. She was so skilled in her knowledge of the biopsy process and Focal Laser Ablation treatment if needed, that she immediately made me feel taken care of. Dr. Sperling called me himself to answer questions and to introduce himself to me personally. Heres what I will say after the trip and biopsy experience. It was everything promised and more. The facility was first class, clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful, especially the nursing staff of whom I spent most of my time. Dr Sperling answered my questions and personally did the procedure along with the assistance of his MRI technician. The procedure took about 45 minutes. There was no down time or surprises. I couldnt be more pleased and I would say to anyone who really wants to get accurate results that Sperling Prostate Center is the best.

I am guessing this group is very good but they should not be advertising for new patients and never responding as they have with me. I have written twice and called once and no response. They could at least say we are too busy.

My annual physical showed a high PSA level. After reviewing a MRI report, my local doctor told me it was very likely that I had prostate cancer. I decided to do some research before having a biopsy. I was surprised to learn that doctors often miss cancer with the old way of doing biopsies. Without the benefit of live MRI images during the biopsy procedure, it is very easy to biopsy the wrong location. I am certain that Dr. Sperling offers the most sophisticated and technologically advanced prostate diagnosis and treatment program in the country. In addition, he and his staff spent a lot of time with me before the biopsy and answered all my questions. Fortunately, the results were favorable. All the lesions were benign. Since the biopsy was done with the benefit of BlueLaser 3T MRI, I can say with confidence that I do not have cancer. Dr. Sperling will be monitoring my prostate going forward with annual MRI’s. I am so grateful to Dr. Sperling and his entire team.

A state of the art facility with a wide-bore 3T MRI machine for multiparametric prostate diagnostics and (should it be needed) in-bore precision biopsy and other procedures. I was very happy with the quality of medical care and attentiveness (Dr. Sperling, MRI technician Charly, RN Jackie). Less so with the receptionist not responding to phone calls and an online request. Because of the medical care quality, I rate this 5 stars.

After being diagnosed with prostate cancer at 54 years old, and faced with the two options of radiation and radical prostatectomy, I was at my wits end deciding which of the two would have the least side effects. I was told it is literally a roll of the dice and no one could predict what the side effects would be after treatment.Then one Sunday morning I did a simple Google search for alternative prostate cancer treatments and Dr. Sperling and Focal Laser Ablation came up immediately! I could not believe what I was reading, I could not wait until the next day to call and see if I was a candidate.Dr. Sperling reviewed my MRI and told me he believes he could cure me with little to no side effects! It was unbelievable! It was like life was handed back to me!Now it has been over 2 weeks since the procedure and I am doing great! No incontinence, no impotence, and no pain. Dr. Sperling turned a nightmare into laughs, not only for me but potentially for almost all men diagnosed with prostate cancer.Ive been treated like royalty through the whole process by everyone at the Center. And the next follow-up is not for 6 months, just an MRI to see if there is a recurrence.If you have prostate cancer dont have any treatment done until you speak with Dr. Sperling. There are others doing Ablation around the country but none have the experience that Dr. Sperling has. Simply a miracle!

Having been diagnosed with prostate cancer 6 years ago, and being aware that such cancer often grows very slowly (unless you are very unlucky), I chose to not get it treated by the usual methods of robotic surgery and radiation.But I did look extensively online into the availability of other treatment methods, particularly High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, or HIFU. From what I read, HIFU has been used successfully in Europe and the Caribbeans for well over 10 years, with a lot fewer of the side effects/consequences of getting your prostate organ removed, or being zapped with radiation.But until a couple of years ago, HIFU was not approved by the FDA for use in the USA. Having finally been FDA-approved, health insurance companies, including mine, still view the treatment as being “experimental”, and so would not cover any of the cost, despite it’s long history of successful use elsewhere.In February 2018, my Winter Park FL urologist did a followup biopsy, revealing that my cancer had slowly developed to a point where I needed to have it treated, while it was still totally contained within the prostate organ.Making a long story short, I found out online about Dr. Dan Sperling and his Sperling Prostate Center in Delray Beach FL participating in a clinical trial of an Israeli-developed Magnetic Resonance-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) treatment procedure. Basically, it uses MRI to “see”, as well as monitor the heat of the focused ultrasound, which ablates (burns out) the cancer.I had the treatment, and just went back in early February 2019 for my 3-month followup, as part of a 2-year clinical trial period. I was back at work in less than a week of getting the treatment, and all of my “functions” are fine so far. I am most hopeful of the ultimate outcome.I am VERY grateful for Dr. Dan, the 2 front desk ladies, and all of the kind, professional nurses & other medical staff members who have taken very good care of me before, during and after the treatment. Sperling Prostate Center is truly a state-of-the-art and compassionate operation! Thank you!!
