Daughter always has a great time and talks about it for weeks after.
Some of the staff are nice some are very very rude … pack your own snacks the food is not the greatest and don’t breath wrong or you will get yelled at ! I don’t recommend the night hike unless you want to break an ankle ! There were the largest spiders in our tent and also a bat
Beautiful camp for the girl scouts. Well taken care of lots to do.
Update::: we just came from the mother daughter camp out and we all had so much fun. This place was amazing and had the time of our life.... our cabin was nice and I cant wait to go back with my girls..camp libby is amazing. My daughter left camp begging to go again. She learned so much and had so much fun thank you camp libby.
I stayed here when I was in fourth grade. My experience was life changing. The tents I stayed in were nightmare fuel. There were huge spiders in the roof of the tents. The second night I found mice in my sleeping bag and spiders in my bed. I had a fever for most of my stay and was never admitted to the nurses office. I was told to drink more water and was not permitted to take any kind of medication even though my parents signed a waiver that allowed me to take pain killer. My friend came down with a terrible sickness and vomited nearly eleven times, but was never allowed to contact her parents. I was so worried about what was to come of us, I could hardly eat. The counselors were no help either. Each complaint I made, they merely covered it up with the fact that I was not drinking enough water. I was staying hydrated, believe me. The showers were disgusting and we were barely given enough time to conduct personal hygiene. I requested to speak with my parents over the phone multiple times, but my request was denied each time. I cried so much that my body was constantly shaking. When I went home, my parents received no calls from the camp and I was starved of my right to a voice. It has been nearly ten years since I went to the camp and I still have trauma from my experience. Each time I go away from home more than three days, I get terrible anxiety. I have tried going to other camps, but each time I have panic attacks. I hold Camp Libbey accountable for my trauma I had experienced as a child and now as a full grown adult. Please reconsider sending your children here.
Getting camp cleared up this year it looks like!!! New buildings going up
Nice girl scout camp needs some attention changing area to pool and walkway. Plus really disappointed in amount of food waste at lunch for sweet success. We teach recycle all containers but there was a huge amount of food just thrown out so sad.
Daughter had girls out camp here lota of fun A+
Always a fun time at Camp Libbey with my girls and our Girl Scout sisters!
Beautiful camp ground for the girl Scouts. Not so much for a semi truck and 48ft trailer. Company I delivered to doinh all the work was great to work with. The surrounding area is filled with nature and is very peaceful and beautiful.
Nice camp but they need to take better care of their staff
I love this camp! It has excellent sleeping arrangements and the dining hall is beautiful.
Camp Libbey is one of the best Girl Scout camps in the Midwest.
My daughter has loved this camp for the last seven years and she plans to keep going there. She also wants to be a camp counselor there when she is old enough.
Awesome camp building girls confidence, character and courage as they explore the outdoors and learn to problem solve.
Good clean camp! Love the Girl Scout opportunities here!!
