Review №1

I started with this practice and Dr. Purselle in August 2021, after being unhappy with my prior psych for 2 1/2+ years. Dealing with Dr. Purselle and his staff (Cydney in particular) has been an absolute dream. Dr. Purselle is very thorough in every appointment. I never feel rushed nor do I ever feel judged (both of which I felt at the practice I switched from). Both Dr. Purselle and Cydney are very responsive to messages left (whether through the patient portal, sent via email or voicemails). Recently, I got my EOB back and saw I ended up not owing a copay that I had paid. And as soon as the practice got the billing info back from my insurance company (there was about a 3 week lag), Cydney immediately processed a refund to my FSA card and sent me an email. That is something I have never had happen with a doctors office (and I frequently have had to get $ back due to having met my OOP max). It is so refreshing dealing with an office that sends and collects complete health information before each visit for proper tracking of health status. I highly recommend this practice. I am so glad that I found them and finally switched to a psychiatrist that cares.

I called to make an appointment as a new patient. The first person I spoke with said I had to fill out all the intake forms before I could make an appointment, which seemed strange to me. He said he would send me the forms but did not. I contacted the office again and another person sent me the forms. I completed them and sent them back, and asked if I could make an appointment now. She said OK, sorry, she thought I already had an appointment. They were booked out a while so I made an appointment about two months later. Two days before my appointment, I emailed to ask if it would be in person or virtual. One day before my appointment, they called me to say they had to reschedule because they would be attending a conference and the office had to quarantine. (What?!) This also precluded a virtual appointment. Of course, their schedule is quite full, so it would be a while before I could schedule another appointment. Everyone I spoke with was polite, but nevertheless I dont remember ever having such a strange and unprofessional experience dealing with a healthcare provider. Clearly a conference is not an unforeseen emergency. Forcing me to reschedule one day before my appointment is unacceptable. I chose not to reschedule.
