I went for a Covid test at the drive thru on Candler Road on September 1st. They hand me swab myself. OK. She did explain how to do it. They told me they would call me if it was positive and text me if it was negative. As of September 24, I still have not received my results. I sent an email via my patient portal. I called and left a voicemail for someone “to look in my chart.” Still no results. They are overwhelmed and unorganized. Go somewhere else for your Covid tests.

Imagine being left in a room completely forget about for simple blood work for 30 min. My overall time in the office was 1hr & 30 min With an appt. Then the last at the front for check in …no comment with how slow that process is as well.

Would rate 0 if possible. I came here because I had a allergic reaction to something I ate. I felt my airway begin to tighten and I slowly was having trouble breathing. I called 911 which I was placed on hold smh. In the mist of being on hold I drove myself to this clinic just in case my airway continued to restrict i would at least be with medical professionals. I walked in and explained that I was unsure if I was having a allergic reaction but my airway feels tight and my breathing isnt normal. They asked me did I have a appointment, which I stated no. She went to speak with the doctor named Metra Wright. She then came back and told me the doctor would not see me and I need to. All 911. I begged for someone to take a look to make sure my.throat wasnt still swelling and I told them I already called 911 and was on hold. They refused to help me, they refused to even look. The nurse, the doctor the staff had no compassion what so ever. They didnt care that my.breathing was compromised, they didnt care what the emergency wa was, they dont care if I made out dead or alive. The sad thing is this is a clinic I have been to several times. I dont recommend going to a place where the people lack compassion for your health and well-being. I look at this company totally different

I went to the drive up location on Candler Road. They are improperly performing Covid tests. They actually have you do the test and have you insert the swab just inside each nare and swirl around a few times….I was under the impression that in order to obtain a good sample the swab has to be inserted deeper in the nasopharyngeal airway. Go to Viral Solutions if you want your covid test done properly

I absolutely love this doctors office. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I never feel like a science experiment when i attend and they typically get it right on the first try lol. My only complaint is the wait time. If I have to go in the morning I just simply take off work for the whole morning and go in the afternoon. If I have an afternoon appointment just go into work that morning and take the rest of the day off. No such thing as a 45 appointment around here. They also have done very well with the covid measures. I dont feel like Im putting my life in danger when I arrive. All in all this is a good medical office.

I would not recommend this place. If you have a serious medical condition it might as well be a scratch on your leg to them. No sense of urgency and the staff is very unpleasant to be around. My physician, NP Coleman, is the only good thing at this place. But even she cant overcome how unhelpful they are. They have a patient portal where you can leave messages and get prescriptions refilled. No one has ever messaged me back or called me back. Ive used it over 10 times since September of last year. Currently traveling for work and I need my meds for a serious medical condition, and if I stop taking it, I could have all kinds of issues. Theyre going to make me come back to my home and then set an appointment to see someone before they give me my meds. And no, it is not a regulated drug or a narcotic like pain pills. Nothing close to that. But even when Im in my city, I have nothing but issues trying to get a refill. MedCura diagnosed me, but it seems like they wont even give me the meds they said I needed. I will be finding another place to go. This place isnt worth anyones time.

I would not recommend this medical facility to anyone. The staff is very unprofessional. Examples...you call there, and you’re placed on long holds. The Doctors( medical professionals, supposedly) don’t return calls, once you’ve left messages. After being placed on hold. You literally have to call multiple times. Don’t be fooled, they’re moving to a lager facility, but this type of treatment happened long before the move. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Did anyone else use the free COVID testing through Medcura at S Dekalb Mall and receive a bill? I called and was sent to voicemail and no one ever returned my call. I would love to know why I’m getting an email and letter for a bill for $200.

I have been a (Medicare) patient for close to ten years of Dr. Metra Wright at Candler Road location of Oakhurst (now MedCu) Clinic. I have received competent, compassionate care over the years. The clinic is busy, and somewhat understaffed, so it can take a while to get in, but not excessively so. I believe I may have been a sliding-fee patient prior to being approved for Medicare and I seem to recall the sliding fee wasnt too difficult to qualify for and fees reasonable. They have a relationship with a pharmacy that delivers for free and their prices are extremely reasonable, so much so that it is cheaper than using my Advantage benefits. Although I havent yet visited it, they are now located in a new purpose-built building justa few hundred yards from the old. They are also offering telemedicine appointments, at least during the pandemic. I recommend the clinic, and Dr. Wright in particular.

The office has Wonderful Staff, They are very helpful and The Doctors that I have Seen are Amazing. My doctor is Dr. Wright and she has another level of loving her job and making sure that her patients are taking care of with great respect. I respect and love each person from the candler Rd Office. I suggest anyone to try them

Metra Wright is awesome! Shes very thorough and is very genuine. She has helped myself and daughter tremendously. I would recommend her to anyone! I literally drive an hour away to take my daughter to visit with Mrs. Wright. Thank you for all youve done in helping to keep my daughter healthy and safe!

I would not recommend this facility I had to get lab work done when I got to the location I wasn’t told that they moved I waited 30 minutes while in the back by labs for them to explain to me they couldn’t do that lab over at that location I had to go to Stone Mountain location I get to Stone Mountain location I was told they couldn’t have done it at the Candler Rd location. My time and gas.

I was turned away because they didn’t have time to see me that day. But I was the fourth person in the waiting room after they had opened. All I had was a sinus infection. They didn’t ask me anything but symptoms, nothing about medical history, which I have MS. They could have asked anything but I was turned away. Now I have Bell’s palsy in the left side of my face. I thought it was an MS flare up. But no, it was the sinus infection. The ER gave me steroids, antibiotics, and antiviral medication.All of this is happening because this clinic didn’t have time to see me. Forget this place. Find a clinic that doesn’t refuse services.

Went two or three years ago. Internal medicine doctor was good. But my ob/gyn doctor had quit when I went back for my exam, so I never experienced that particular service. Overall a okay place for anyone without insurance. I no longer go there...I have insurance so I go to a more hands-on doctors office.

Scheduled an appointment at this location even though it was not my usual place, but I decided to give it a shot bc of it being so close to my home. I waited in the lobby for over an hour just for someone to come greet me, for me to continue to wait. After my very visit, I was informed that I would be getting a follow up call from them and my pharmacy. Its been the next day and I have not heard anything at least from my pharmacy so upon calling back to check on the status of my prescription, I am getting all kinds of passive aggressive tones. Every time I asked a question it was followed up by quick undertones making me feel like Im inconveniencing someone on Dr Evans team. I will not be returning to this very unprofessional location. All I wanted was answers to my questions and all I got was someone who seems to be very impatient with clients. Made me feel very uncomforatable. SMH

Dr. Queen is Absoulty amazing. Shes taking care of my twins Christian and Tristian since they were toddlers and now they are 16. Shes not replaceable. The boys and I love her.

The wait time was very short. My appt was at 2pm and I was called at 2:05pm. The employees were very polite and the knowledgeable.

I LOVE Dr. Queen and Erica her assistant on the pediatrics side!!! They are the only thing that keeps me coming back. DO NOT GO TO THE OFFICE ON CANDLER ROAD AS A WALK IN!!! I had to take my four year old as a walk in on 8/11/15. I got to the office at 8:30 and didnt leave until 1 pm. AND I had my newborn with me!!! They are understaffed and unprofessional on the general medicine side, which is where walk ins have to wait and Ill never go as a walk in again!!!

I have an appointment at 2:30 p.m. today and I havent seen a doctor, I was there until 4:30 p.m. and havent seen a doctor no one no one came to me and said the doctor is going to be a little bit late or nothing but they took my payment and my insurance card that is ridiculous I will never go back there. Theyre so unprofessional

I was referred to oakhurst through a couple of people that said that Dr.Wright was a good doctor. Since I have been under her care I have to force her to do her job. They say its not because I receive Medicaid but to be honest I know it is. Its like she dont care and the people that work around her dont seem to care either. I have to harass her about important stuff that goes on in my health. I need a new chair and she refuses to sign the documents needed to get the new chair. All in all I have had a horrible experience dealing with her and to be honest she has showed me she is just here for the money. The last time I seen her she said she was going to do my refferls and after finding out she didnt I had to call and beg them to send my refferls. I shouldnt have to remind someone to do their job if you are getting paid to do it. Dr. Wright needs to be written up and talked to about her job , if she doesnt want to be paid through medicaid she needs to talk to who pays her not take it out on me. I will never refer anybody to her or to oakhurst on candler rd. I heard the oakhurst in Stone mountain Ga is better but after my experience with Dr. Wright I dont want to go to neither one of them.

I went to the Stone Mountain location at Village Square. I was there at 9 AM on a Tuesday. I filled out the form only to be told that the intake process for the procedure I needed started at 1:30 PM. I waited until 1:30 PM. I stood at the podium at 1:15 PM so I could be sure to be one of the first people to get a form so I could be sure to be seen. Some rude people were allowed to jump in front of the people that were waiting and there reward was that they got seen and the people that were patiently waiting (one lady was there at 8 AM) didnt get seen. Other than that, I really like going to that clinic. The doctors and nurses really take great care of the patients. The intake process really needs to be changed. This is extremely wrong. There is no way that someone who just walked in the door should be seen before someone that has been there all day.

Worst place to take your kids the dr herself is okay but for a sick appointment you have to wait 2 weeks to a month. They also take walk ins but they e only see the first 5 people . Customer service sucks I wish I could rate them a zero.

Horrible service, they give you an appointment date and time but have you wait 3 hours to be seen. Appointment was at 2pm and it’s near 5 pm (closing) and the doctor still has not came to the room.

I had miss two appointments because the front desk staff refuses to send my claim to the claim address it seems they rather take a sliding fee instead of the full payment through the insurance..my agent told them to send the cpt code to the claim address and they refuse say they dont do that all they do is call to check for coverage SMHO... Doctor Wright is an awesome MD and I wanted to continue my care with her but her staff made it very difficult cause me stress and I just recently had a stroke so my agent told my to walk away from that office she on the phone trying to find me another Doctor...Just set me back smh

I was there today at 2:25pm for an appointment at 2:40pm.they let me wait for 3 hours calling others patients that came after me. I was the last one waiting on the waiting area. I ask ed to see a manager to those ladies at the front desk but i never saw any manager coming.They are really unprofessional and the only thing they care about is the money....
