My dog Bowie got a bone out of the trash and suffered an intestinal blockage. I took her to Village Vets and she and I were both treated with a compassion and amazing service. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful and understood how stressed I was about my girl and did whatever they could to alleviate my concerns. I am so glad I took her in and I am so impressed with the care she received. Thank you all so much.

As a first-time pet owner, I was very upset when my 9-week puppy started vomiting. My friend recommended The Village Vets so I brought Scout to the ER. Amber in registration was very helpful in explaining the check-in process and what to expect, and her understanding and calm demeanor eased my stress level. Alyssa, the technician, was very gentle and attentive to Scout, and I felt confident that she was in good hands with Alyssa. Dr. Jones called me to discuss his findings and recommendations, and he also told me he was on-call the following night should I need to contact him again. I appreciated that the staff explained the course of action each step of the way and quoted me a price for each treatment. The entire ER visit process at The Village Vets was a positive experience for me and my puppy, and I will definitely come here again in the future should the need arise.

9/13 @ 12:30 am. My fur baby was sick. Looked up 24 hour Animal vets & Village of Vets looked promising with mostly good reviews. Their website stated how professional they are as well as their claim to be highly driven to address pets medical care. I contacted the company to verify their emergency hours were in effect. Employee advised they could see my dog. I decided to monitor my pet for a little more time. 1:35 am I called to let them know I would be coming in. Employee advised to download a new client form, fill it out & come in. Stated it may take 2 or 3 hours for testing, diagnosing the results. 2 am I drove 22 miles from Snellville to the Decatur office. Upon arrival different employee told me they only had one vet onsite & he was in surgery. Advised they were NOT accepting any more clients until normal hours. Suggested three different locations to take my fur baby to & wished me luck. (Please note their website has a LIVE bar chart indicating in real time how busy Village Vets are over the course of 24 hours. I checked before I left my home & when I returned, Chart displayed for the past three hours low activity.

This was the only place that would take my dog without previously seeing him which was 45 minutes away. My dog had a really bad ear ache and signs of aggression due to pain.I will say that I will not recommend this place the front of the house ladies were absolutely rude and asked me what I did to make him aggressive. For one thing this is my baby, my best friend I would never hurt him. Also, for this being your craft they were very unknowable.I will say the vet tech that I did speak with was very nice under the circumstances.

Took my cat the their 24hr vet at the advice of their staff at the normal service location, was told a 1-2 hour wait. An hour and a half passed and I asked how much longer it might be and they said maybe another hour. That hour passed and still no call (waiting in the parking lot) so we called them again to ask to which they said another 45min to an hour. I understand they are busy but updating people waiting in your parking lot for 2 and a half hours might be a nice thing to do.

Great service and an extremely caring staff. My 15-pound Maltipoo was recently bitten or scratched by a raccoon while I was walking him. He was up-to-date on all of his shots (including a rabies vaccine), but I decided to immediately take him to a vet emergency clinic near where we live in Sandy Springs. They shaved around the wound and cleaned it up, but did not have a rabies booster, so I was told to go to Village Vets in Decatur, about 15 miles away. After a short wait, they saw my dog around 10 at night, gave him a rabies booster and the vet (Dr. Olly Neal) talked with me about the incident and how I needed to monitor my dog for signs of fatigue, pain, confusion or anxiety. If I were closer to Decatur, I would use Village Vets exclusively - they were that good, and even gave me a 30% email coupon for a future prescription. Under very trying circumstances, it was a wonderful experience to see how professional and loving they were to Shakespeare. BRAVO VILLAGE VETS!!

Definitely will be my go to for any pet emergencies. I went during the day but I like the fact that they’re prices don’t change around the clock. Ghost seemed to really like the staff and feel safe with them. Everyone but one receptionist had a really good “bedside manner.” They are thorough and professional but don’t ignore the emotional nature of your emergency by being too clinical.

Our new pregnant rescue dog began laboring with no progress. I have been to other emergency vets in the past & have not been happy so reached out to Village Vets. They were responsive, thorough, & talked me through the best care plan. Dr. Atuan kept me informed and performed a successful C-section. I am a RN & was very impressed with the care that was provided & the extra measures taken to ensure our dog was well taken care of. All of the staff were knowledgeable & compassionate. The cost was fair & straightforward…I didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of. I had an excellent experience and would highly recommend. This is definitely my go-to now for veterinary needs.

I called the Decatur Village Vet for an emergency regarding my dog having strained breathing and what sounded like mucus in her lungs. When the receptionist put me on the phone with a technician to further explain my situation I was told that the tech could neither confirm or deny whether I should bring my pet in, but that I knew my pet better than anyone, so if I felt that it was an emergency, I should come in. I DID end up going in at around 11:30 pm. As soon as I arrived a technician was at my car door informing me that I had made it out to be a lot more of an extreme case than it actually was and that my dog was fine. I informed her that I would still like her to take at look at my pup because as she said herself, I KNOW MY DOG BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. She proceeded to try to talk me out of getting my dog checked because I took her away from a pet that actually needed help. This technician had such an attitude with me it nearly brought me to tears knowing that the amount of arguing and disdain she had for helping my pup could amount to a life or death situation. After convincing this women to take a look at my pet, she said it should not be a long wait because there were not many patients. I proceeded to wait an hour for anyone to come pick up my dog. At this point I was so frustrated with the situation, I chose to leave this vet and drive to another animal hospital. Thankfully, the other hospital was able to help my pet in a more professional and compassionate manner and I was able to sort out my ordeal with no thanks to the Village Vet of Decatur. I am truly sorry I ever gave this business my money, but after seeing other reviews of this vet and the responses by the owner William Draper, I am ecstatic I will never go to this vet again.

Our Rudy boy didnt make it because he had advanced stomach cancer, but the staff and Dr. Cotton, without a doubt, did everything they could. Im old and raised in this city and I have been to many vets over the years. This one is the very best. They are honorable and compassionate. Its not all about the money at Village Vets. When Rudy needed tests they couldnt do, they sent me to Blue Pearl and they were also WONDERFUL. Its hard enough to have to lose our beloved dog, but when a vet is more about the money (Thrive, St. Francis and even, to some extent Dearborn) its utterly unbearable. If you need a vet you can trust and have faith in this is the place. God bless them.

We took our 11 month old frenchie to Village Vets Decatur after observing diarrhea, bloody stool, vomiting, and lack of appetite for 48 hours. We were concerned about the possibility of parvo even though she’s been fully vaccinated against it. Kaylah, the technician, and Dr. Finke in the emergency care center were both extremely communicative, attentive, and took wonderful care of our girl while running tests and examining her. Thankfully, it was nothing too serious and something antibiotics can hopefully fix. We are very thankful for the staff at VV and will certainly be back in the future if/when the need arises. Also worth mentioning, the ER fees are fair and reasonable unlike many or most other 24-hour animal hospitals. Their website says they don’t charge increased fees for emergency visits and we found that to be true. Thank you, VV of Decatur!

I have taken my dog here a few times of emergency care and they were great. I decided to transfer his primary care here. Our first visit was fine, though we were offered only $1/day arthritis medication instead of less expensive alternatives...sigh. BUt the COVID happened and we did not need to take our aging fella in. SO now he is our of his heart worm medication and they will not refill it without a complete physical ( I know he needs blood work but practically that is all that is needed) and he can;t get an appointment for 6 weeks. I will not do a quick lab visit for this issue so he does not get heart worm now, August, mosquito season...insane. I am a human physician and I never let my patients go without needed preventative medication because I cant fit them in for an appointment. This is terrible policy to make money and shows a genuine lack of concern for my dog, their patient.

My dog opened the refrigerator and ate a pack of cookie dough while I was away for a medical procedure. I was gone from 7:45 to 11:30 and dont know when she got it.Called toxic control see what I should do based on her weight. They said vet. My regular vet was at capacity so I lyfted to Village Vets (I could not drive because of the anesthesia.) I called Village Vets before I lyfted over so they knew I was coming. After I got there, I waited 35 minutes before they took her, though I had told them that I did not know when she got the cookie dough and they knew I was coming in.She was back there for an hour with no update from Village Vets until I called them from a dying phone. They said she would be out in 10-15 minutes and that they were giving her anti-nausea meds and fluids. 40 minutes later she was out. Apparently they did not give her the anti-nausea meds or fluids until just before. It was very stressful to wait 35 minutes for emergency vet care after your pet got toxins and you dont know when they did. It is very stressful to not get an update when your pet has been back there for a hour after you had to wait 35 minutes to be seen after they got toxins and you dont know when they did.Network connectivity was not working there so I could not check work emails. My phone was also dying. And I was outside in close to 90 degree weather. I had not eaten or drunk anything because of my medical procedure (as soon as I got home and saw the refrigerator situation I took care of my dog), and I had the effects of anesthesia). I was hungry, dehydrated, and beyond my limit.I will avoid Village Vets if possible in the future if my regular wonderful vet is not available. Ill do St. Francis instead.I dont know what was going on with their set up and flow today. Maybe they need to hire more staff but updates from Village Vets would have been appreciated.

Lee was by far the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. I attempted to bring my dog in for an emergency but decided to head somewhere else after the way the phone call went to check my dog in. The owners of this facility should listen to the recorded call on 7/31/2021 at around 11 pm because I have never encountered such bad customer service in my life. The wait was also five hours to be seen and they informed us they even kept dogs with broken legs waiting in the car. They told us they charge a $95 fee to check in then make you wait in your car for hours. Instead, we went to Veterinary Emergency Group in Alpharetta,GA and were immediately seen and treated very well. We were escorted right to the back and the tech immediately began collecting info for the vet. Within ten minutes of arriving we got to see the vet. They had more than 6 techs working along with the doctor and do not make you pay until discharged. I would recommend the VEG in Alpharetta over this place any day.

Ive been with them for years and it was mostly ok (nothing great, but nothing terrible). Lately I had a really bad experience and would say stay away.1. My dog hospitalized with them. One day they called me to say that shes better and free to go home. And that my bill was 50% over of what I had approved. Not only they didnt send me an email to approve the new amount, but also the person could not explain what have changed or even what was the diagnosis or what happened to my dog. They just wanted my card number and had no further information about the patient. At the end they said that was a mistake and got back to the estimate but never explained me what happened.2. They offered me a boarding option for her to stay with them even after being discharged (as I was out of town) and when I said that I would prefer to take her to a familiar environment where she would feel more comfortable they were really push on the sale, to the point of calling my pet sitter to discourage them to accept her, even after having said to me that she was discharged. Really greedy.3. The take home document didnt say for how long she should stay on the medicines she was sent home with. So I called to ask and they said the vet would call me back and never did. Called again 3 days later and the technician told me that she needs to stay on the meds so I needed to get it refilled. I explained that we were leaving out of state now and asked the prescription to be sent to me, which he said he would do.They sent her medical history but not the prescription. Called again, another person said hey can´t send the prescription and I needed then to look for a vet in my new town to prescribed it. I asked why was that and the person refused to say. Just kept repeating that she couldn´t send.In summary: until I find a new vet in my new town, my dog will die without her heart medicine because of them.

I had to take my 16 year old pup in on a Saturday. My vet, whom I love, isn’t open on weekends, but we communicated and she suggested I have my little one checked. It’s pandemic time, so Village Vets is not having humans come in with their pets. I pulled up and called to let them know I was there. A very polite vet tech called me right back and got the down-low on what was going on with my dog. He then came right out and got her and I waited in parking lot for update. Doc called me within 30 minutes (I’d say less) and told me what was going on. Five minutes later the receptionist called to collect payment...which was FAR less than I had braced myself for. Same vet tech brought my pup back out and went over the meds with me and then we were on our way. Very efficient, very polite, and very reasonable. Highly recommend.

He refused food (i wasnt really trying to feed him, but rather to see his reaction) and vomited at least twice more before bedtime. He had a fitful night in his crate, clearly not feeling well. As soon as he got out of his crate on Thursday morning he vomited. I didnt feed him, but he was thirst and drank water which he immediately threw up. I was able to leave him at VV Stone Mountain for a doc to examine him. Thanks Dr. Hurst and staff! Diagnostic tests, in house blood labs, x-rays, a fecal analysis, and test for pancreatitis were run. Nothing was abnormal. Finally an ultrasound was done and showed a shadow in the right side of his small intestine. Because he needed overnight care and IV hydration, we were sent to VV emergency hospital in Decatur where he spent ll day Friday under the attentive care of Dr. Cotton. More labs were done and x-rays were done. Dr. Cotton saw improved after hours of hydration and watching Satchmo slowly perking back up. He even ate a little to see whether he could keep it down. HE DID! He was discharged home early evening with a diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis. I still have no clue as to how he picked it up. Found it odd that the doctor said he didnt have time to review the footage I had previously been asked to provide as examples of the symptoms my dog was experiencing. He suggested we do bloodwork on her. After doing bloodwork, I was told nothing was out of the ordinary, but that /now/ the doctor /had/ watched all the footage and gave his (potential/probable) diagnosis for her based on that alone. So did they really need to do all that effort to do bloodwork for her (and did i really have to pay for it?) if the video had just been watched beforehand?Edit: I did not a pleasant email in response to my questioning review. I find these people to just be too aggressive with their patients on average. Occassionally youll get someone pleasant, like whoever I spoke to at 10:05pm on 5/13/21 before I drove over last night. Finally the vets who diagnosed her recommended village vets. They gave me a much more reasonable price and could see her immediately.( and after all it ended up being less than they quoted so I even got a refund) We rushed her there @ 4 am and they had her surgery done by 630am. I had to take my very sick cat there and waited the extra two hours for them to get to my cat because the prices were so much better than all of the other places I called (I’m looking at you VCA) and they had really good reviews. The wait was worth it. They were so nice and I appreciated that they took care of the sickest animals first - I had to wait because there were car accident victims. I would have given 5 stars, but they didn’t call the next day to check in like I was told would happen & they didn’t actually give me take home instructions for how to prevent the issue from happening again. I will still go back if I ever have another emergency and I recommend them highly.

My first review was positive, only because it was during the time they began helping me, but listen, these people, take advantage of the situation. My cat started suffering from kidney stones at a young age of 5 months, they began to help me at first by telling me the problem, then they later proceeded to frighten me, telling me he’s going to die, of course I didn’t want this, they began by putting him on fluids for about two to three days, they prolonged the “ treatment” in order to charge me daily, then they transferred him to their other clinic to perform surgery on him, I was told he’d have to stay overnight and the next day I can pick him up around 6pm, they called to tell me that he wasn’t doing good and that it’s best to put him down for an extra $200, oh by the way these days they had me waiting around on them, having my cat on fluids, not feeding just waiting around ON THEM, it all ran me about $3000 if not more, at this point, I said no, just flat out no, I threatened to get their license taken away because they were TELLING ME to put him down NOT ASKING ME to. I said no, they then began to be completely rude and mean and they gave me my cat earlier than expected, they made me sign some papers to take him home, the vet did not come and talk to me, they just sort of threw us out once they weren’t getting any money out of me. They told me, “ take him home, and he’ll be dead within 40 hours, and it’s going to be painful” I took my cat home, I fed him, he was super skinny and hungry at this point, I was completely worried about him and watched him carefully, 10 days later, time to get the staples out, still RUDE AS EVER they kind of just took him did the job gave him back. And that was all, no one ever said, they were glad he pulled through or amazed that he made it or even CARED FOR THAT MATTER!!!! What kind of VET only sees PROFIT and not HEALTH !!!! I was told I’d get a call about the stones they removed and months have passed and NOTHING. These people do not care if you are not constantly throwing tons of money at them !!!My cat is now over a year oldHis name is EliAnd he is a healthy chubby love ballAnd these people never cared about himAnd that’ll always stay with meHow they took so much moneyAnd once I stopped letting them get their wayThey completely turned their backs. This place disgusts me

I’ve brought both my dog and cat here, and my experiences have been excellent. Doctors Finke and Neal took expert and thoughtful care of Ruthie and Abner, and helped resolve their respective health issues. Services here are quite reasonably priced, particularly given the quality of care given. They also have flexible walk in hours, which have been a real blessing for us. Overall, I would have no reservation in recommending Village Vets to anyone, they have treated us so well.

Usually I do not write reviews unless 1. I have multiple experiences at the same location 2. After I have seen progress. But, today I brought my dog in for hind left leg lameness which I am happy I did because they are truly professional and responsive. Instead of treating/ doing diagnostic tests for everything and anything they examined him and treated him for his injuries with the proper care as well as giving recommendations and answering all of my questions and concerns. I will definitely recommend. Also thank you Dr. Hand!

The staff at Village Vets Decatur is wonderful! Weve been taking our two cats, Melvin and Dixon, here since we moved to Decatur in 2019. Dr. Draper is so friendly and caring. He and his technicians take excellent care of our boys.More recently, we took in a sweet stray girl who needed some medical attention. Dr. McKinney was so wonderful with her, and I was touched by how much she seemed to care about our new addition, Pearl. They even called a few days later to check in and see how she was recovering. If youre in the Decatur area, or willing to drive a few minutes for quality vet care, I highly recommend Village Vets Decatur. I appreciate everything theyve done for our little fur family!

I have been bringing my 3 cats, Sidney, Nancy and Marie to Village Vets since 2007. I have spent upwards of $30,000 on their care at Village Vets and am disappointed to see a loss of focus on customer service. In January 2021 they refused to authorize a 6 month refill of Sidney felimazole, citing a policy that refills would be for 90 days, despite having previously authorized a 6 month refill. This medication is frequently unavailable, hence my desire for a larger refill. Sidney TSH level would determine the number of tablets I would give him but the tablet strength would remain the same. I acquiesced to this refusal. In March I brought Marie in for a dental and her discharge paperwork said she had received an antibiotic injection and a long lasting pain injection. As I was nearly home with her I received a phone call from the office notifying me that they FORGOT to administer the pain injection. I was forced to return to Village Vets for Marie pain medication. I was assured that the OTHER injection was administered BUT WAS IT? In April I ordered through Petmeds Revolution for all 3 cats. Petmeds informed me that the refill for Sidney was denied by Village Vets with no explanation given. I never heard from Village Vets and had to call them and wait on hold for a considerable time to resolve the issue. I had to call the Village Vets to get his TSH level as I received no call OR email letting me know. Im not a fan of email as you cant question or interact with it but the staff there seems to dislike personal interaction with customers over the phone.

They told us to come over, charged us for the visit, THEN told us it was gonna be a 3 hour wait. When we pointed out that we weren’t sure if our dog was going to be ok for that long, they said “Sorry to hear that.”Please avoid. In response to owner: The Record would be under my partners name, Baker. And we have the charge on our credit card, despite you not even seeing our dog. But please keep telling me I’m wrong.

The Village Vets have earned my loyalty 100%. My first time bringing my dog Forrest there was this past Friday in an emergency situation. Please stay with me because they were absolutely incredible.I adopted Forrest as a sick puppy who was under a pound and nursed him back to health three years ago when the vets thought he was going to die. We bonded in a way I didn’t think was possible. He is my baby and even though he is only 11lbs, he is convinced he must protect me at all costs. He puts on a tough face for me, but he is the sweetest most cuddly little guy too. We were on our every morning walk when we came up on a couple with their big dog. They had her sit and were going to set us walk by as she was distracted by us walking behind them. This isn’t uncommon especially people who are training their dogs/have trained their dogs this way. We quickly go to walk on by so we can all continue on. Their dog sat patiently right until we got next to them and then it lunged out (also not uncommon as dogs want to say hi). Except with this dogs lung it brought it’s owner straight to the ground and got loose. Forrest lunged back to try and get between me and the dog, but he had no chance. The dog was able to drag him onto a lawn and flip him on his back and was in full on attack mode. I knew in my head that we had seconds, and figured it would be too late by the time we got the dog off since all it would take is one bite of Forrest to be crushed. The owners pulled the dog off and I realized it had a muzzle on which was probably the only thing that saved my baby.Anyway, I’m in full panic and after I scooped him up I made sure he wasn’t heavily bleeding anywhere. Ran to the car and went to the nearest emergency vet. This was thankfully The Village Vets where I had never been to before. I called on my way in the car and explained my situation. Usually there is a new patient form, but the woman who answered the phone got all of my information so I would be checked in by the time I got there. When I arrived I technician came out right away who was the sweetest. I’m scared, shaking, and still trying to control my tears. I was too afraid to put the harness on Forrest, but I have a car seat for him. The technician told me not to worry and just took the entire car seat. He consoled me and assured me Forrest would be examined right away and that he would update me as soon as I can. He brought Forrest inside and about 10mins later, as promised, he came back with an update letting me know Dr. Calcutt looked at him and from what they can see so far Forrest will he fine. The absolute relief he provided me in that moment was unexplainable. He told me they were still going to examine him further, but the doctor will give me a call as soon as he’s done. It was a little while later that I got a call from Dr. Calcutt telling me how lucky/brave Forrest was. He made it out with a few minor scratches. He proscribed an anti-inflammatory so forest could rest comfortable the next couple of days instead of being sore from being thrashed around. What I loved after that is even though he shared all of this information with me over the phone there were care instructions that were completely personalized sent to my email. It was a note from the doctor saying how lucky Forrest is and how he will he absolutely fine, as well as all the information on what the medication was, what the side effects were, and how to use it.It’s two days later and Forrest is back to his normal self, but the story about The Village Bet’s isn’t over. They sent me a follow up email, asking how Forrest was doing, how I was doing, and how he was doing with the medication. If that’s not above and beyond in general, but also for someone like me who ended up being in worse shape than Forrest was I don’t know what is. They were so amazing and I will be switching them as my primary vet because of the service they provided and the wonderful staff on site.

My wife and I moved to the Decatur area within the last year. We started going to TVV after our old vet, who was on the other side of town and just not convenient for us anymore, recommended TVV based on some professional relationships. Their website was well done. They appeared to have a large amount of highly experienced staff and younger staff, all with a great selection of diversity and background. The first couple of times I took either of my animals were for some standard booster shots and routine check-ups. Everything was fine.My dissatisfaction began after I brought my cat in for what appeared to be a UTI. Im pretty sure I made an appointment—at the least I was told to come in as soon as I could if it wasnt an appointment. I ended up waiting in the car for almost 2 hours before my cat was taken into the facility. No one informed me of this wait time until I was already in the parking lot. She got her shot and her symptoms declined within a day. What was strange is they just brought my cat back to me and said have a nice day. It was only a day later that they called me and asked about payment, which I gladly provided. This was kind of weird, but I tried not to let it bother me. Miscommunications happen, I guess. After receiving the antibiotic shot, I was contacted about her bloodwork results. I was told the antibiotic shot she received was fine for the bacteria present and would kill any infection she may have had. They suggested a follow-up visit a week or two later if she was still showing symptoms. She wasnt, so I didnt setup a follow-up appointment. A short time after that, I received an email from one of the doctors on staff with essentially the same information. I asked a pretty simple follow-up question via email about preventive care, but the doctor never responded to my email. This was pretty disappointing. Most recently, I was alerted by an automated system at my former vet that both of my pets were overdue for some vaccinations. I didnt get any kind of notification from TVV about these needed vaccines. When I tried to make an appointment online, I was told the soonest I could bring them in was in about 2 weeks. Thats just not acceptable for me, though I understand that this facility serves a large population, has many clients, and operates 24/7 with emergency services. I think they could improve their appointment request system. It seems like itd be pretty simple to set up the system to not show dates that are unavailable or that are already fully booked. That way, folks know what theyre getting into in terms of timing. After reading some of the review responses from TVV here, it looks like their owner takes it upon himself to respond to a lot of these reviews, which is commendable. However, the tone that is used in response to some negative reviews is a bit unsettling to me. As a communications professional, maybe I just have a differing opinion on how these should be handled.Im sure TVV has the best of intentions and serves many clients very well. Maybe not being able to actually go inside because of COVID makes things a bit tougher to judge. Maybe I got spoiled with my previous vet. Maybe a lot of things factor into all of the above.Given my experience though, its probably best for me to find another provider that gives the level of customer service and support that Im seeking when it comes to the health of my pets.Best of luck to TVV, and who knows, maybe Ill be back some day.3/5 stars

Our beloved tripod terrier and I were attacked by a dog and our pup had injuries to his remaining back leg and to his throat. The folks at TVV got him in immediately, and Dr. Cotton called me throughout the day while I was getting my own injuries tended to both update me and reassure me, which I really needed. We were so afraid his leg was too damaged and he wouldnt be able to walk again with just two legs, but Dr. Cotton took and reviewed x-rays twice to be sure, and as of this morning our dog is putting weight on the leg and were confident hell be back to his regular neighborhood walks soon. Dr. Cotton also helped us come up with a plan to deal with our pups pain so that we could get him comfortable and back to eating and drinking and taking his meds (and it worked!). All this while safely dealing with COVID restrictions. We are so grateful to the team at Village Vets, this is the second time weve used them as emergency vets, but will be moving all of our routine care there this year. Thank you all so much!

My puppy was not eating and was whiny so we rush him to this place. They told us to just feed him every 5 hours and try to force feed him and he will be ok. I ask the vet is he going to be ok when we get home the vet said yes. I also ask do he need to stay overnight she said she don’t recommend it because he is too young.4 hours later my puppy died. I am deeply heart about this my Ace was suppose to be our new life. I don’t recommend this place at all. The worst part is when I called to greave they said that she told me the price and i refuse that was not the case. Never was told the price which the money is not the problem my puppy health was. Me and my family deeply hurt now I have to explain to my kids about life and death.

Needing to spray the mom cat and tackle an abscess on one of the kittens, I turned to the team at The Village Vets because of their round the clock hours. Dr. Draper was SO accommodating about the whole situation since we are not keeping the animals and really made it affordable to do the work. Not happy with the service I’ve received here at all. Inconsistent and unprofessional.I wanted to bring my new kitten here after my friend referred me. I called and scheduled the appointment, and they asked about the referral. After that I got no follow up emails or calls from them. Turns out they had put my cats information under my friends account and not mine, so she was getting all of the notifications and not me.The appointment I made was for my cat to get her rabies shot. I told them how old she was and what her birthday is. When I got there, they informed me that she was too young for a rabies shot so I would have to come back in a few weeks — why wouldn’t they tell me that over the phone before I drove there? When I did bring her back I also wanted her nails cut. They said that she was too agitated and that she scratched one of the technicians so they decided not to do it. I’m shocked that a vet would be turned off by a scratch from a kitten...I brought her back a few weeks later and they said the same thing, and that I should try sedating her before the appointment. SHOCKED that three licensed and trained vets would need a 5 lb kitten to be sedated in order to cut her nails.Moral of the story is ive driven there three times for no reason and no results. Would never recommend

When my dog was bitten by a snake (during the July 4th weekend no less!), my friend told me to go here. Even with the pandemic going on, they were super nice, communicative, transparent about pricing, and just took really good care of my dog. They even followed up in the next few days to check on her, which I thought was super kind. 10/10 would recommend, and keeping them in my back pocket if anything else comes up after business hours with my dog. But then i got impatient and asked i needed to be in my car or not. She then says I have had to call first, which I did. And said that ill have to wait in my car.Needless to say, we waited 30 minutes and I have not seen a technician yet.Response to your Reply.Professionalism at its finest. My point was, I didnt get any instructions as to what I am supposed to do when I arrive. I DID let the technician know I was coming.
