If there was a button to rate this doctor as a 0 I would. Maria Walker is a older physician who arrives at 12 o’clock noon but sets early appointments. You will easily wait two hours in her office before even seeing her. She is horrible, her service is horrible, and honestly she needs to retire. I take my grandmother to see her and she seems as if her medical judgement has been left behind. DO NOT GO HERE! I repeat DO NOT GO HERE!! They suck! Find you a provider who cares about you, your time, and is professional because this entire office is unprofessional!!!!!!!! On top of all that they must’ve not paid there bill because they have tons of little heaters in there rooms. We literally sat in a cold room for 1 hour because her nurse (who is also OLD and needs to retire) brought a heater into our room.

I hate to have to post this, but it needs to be said. Customer service is horrible with the staff and her office is very dirty. You would expect a cleanier office with covid and all. Doctor Walker doesnt arrive until 12 noon and they still set appointments for earlier. Poorly ran business and the African American community deserves better.

Our experience is pretty much the same as most of the others who have posted on this site. I and Mother both have been the Doctors patients for 2 years and every visit has been the same. Sick or well the wait is to long easily 2 hours or more, the last visit we left after 2 hours and went to Urgent Care shame on us for waiting so long. The staff said shell be here any minute not true. The staff doesnt follow up with test results. We wont be going back looking for another Doctor now.

First let me say her office staff is great. They are polite, patient and helpful. However, I will definitely be finding a new doctor. This lady sat in the exam room and badgers me about the COVID vaccine and Trump, to the point that she never even examined me. I have year round ALLERGIES and all of my adult life have been getting Sinus infections and bronchitis due to my allergies. This woman insisted I had COVID without test results saying so, TOLD me (not asked me) that I had misinformation about the vaccine even after I told her I get my info from the CDC. She asked me why I didnt get the vaccine and I told her I just wanted to get my exam because I was in a hurry, she FORCED a bunch of unwanted conversation on me about Trump, COVID and the vaccine. She told me by not getting the vaccine I was killing other people. She was obviously trying to coerce me into getting the COVID vaccine which she has no right to do that. She was very unprofessional in her approach, pushy and down right disrespectful. I will never go back there and have in mind to make a complaint to the state licensing board because she did not even examine me. Whether you think someone has COVID or not (which I do not) you should listen to their lungs. In fact its more of a reason to listen to their lungs just in case. She made me feel so uncomfortable. Terrible experience.

Dr. Walker is fun and well educated concerning the health of her patients. She knows a lot and laugh with your and not at you. She keeps it 100% about African American wellbeings. If you dont need it she wont subscribe it and tell you why she didnt give it to you. The wait times can be long but its worth it. She has been my familys for over 30 yrs now! I just wish her staff was older than what they are. I drive 45 mins to see her!

Yes the wait is sometimes long, but she is spending time getting to know and understand your medcial concerns. Thats why patience is virtue. The PA if youre fortunate to see one on your visit is very comprehensives ,taking time to go over everything. Busy office staff constantly changing. Dr.Walker Sweet caring person.

I have been seeing Dr. Walker for years, if this review was just about the Dr. she would get more stars, BUT when factoring in the long wait time, quadruple bookings, and lack of patience with the front desk staff I am very disappointed! The fact there are 10 of us in the lobby waiting is unreal considering COVID is very real! There is no hand sanitizer, no spacing of the seats.... nothing! I did not receive a reminder call or a call to let me know what I needed to pay, instead I found out at the visit! I witnessed 3 other people being told the same amount of $175!!! This feels like a clinic in lieu of a private practice! I am extremely disappointed! This will be my last visit after years of an established doctor patient relationship!

I have been a patient with Dr. Walker for over 20 years. She is a caring doctor. Just the staff is changed often due to their incompetence on doing books correctly. So they would be replaced. Praying for the correct staff to be placed in this office. Other than that, she is a very professional, caring doctor.

Dr.walker most definitely gets to know who she’s working with however the wait time was way to long every time I went. They have no respect for people’s time and you’ll be waiting at least 2 hours for something as simple as going over lab results

Dr. Walker has been my family physician more than 25 years. She is thorough and really cares about her patients. Sometimes the wait can be long especially for walk ins, but you will get the very best care. I have a number of health challenges and she takes the time to explain her treatment and care plan. I love Dr. Walker, she is the best!!!

Dr. Maria Walker has been my doctor for over 15 years. She is detailed and specific. She has great bedside manner. She doesnt rush when she is spending time with me and she always makes the connection where we left off from at my previous annual visit. She is skilled and serious about preventive care. Her knowledge and experience is valued and appreciated by me and many of my family members that she cares for. Patient care is her first priority.

Horrible! Wait time is over 2 hours. The Dr. doesn’t arrive until she feels like it. This place is HORRIBLE. They had to find my paperwork. She need to shut that place down!!! Trust me, do not waste your time going there. Also, the place is dirty. I will not be going back.

I feel the same as most of you do. The wait time is too long clearly they need more certified staff to assist in respecting peoples time. The front desk could also use a customer service crash course. The doctor is okay but that is not enough to keep me from changing my primary care provider. And in my opinion the facility could use a deep clean.

Each time I come the wait gets longer and longer.... 4 hours for a physical... yes Dr. Walker is rather talkative and takes time to get to know her patients, but make your schedule reflect your bedside manner... instead of scheduling patients every 15 minutes only do 2 a hour.... otherwise my billable hourly rate should be paid upon departure....

Dr. Walker was my husbands and my family doctor for years, before we moved two counties away. We would still be her patients except for living way too far away from her office. We werent thrilled with her office staff but we were willing to put up with them because of the exceptional care she gave us. She is an expert diagnostician and she does not rest until she unravels the problem. I work in the medical field and I am fussy about where I go for care.. Dr. Walker is simply the best.

Mrs.Walker has been my primary doctor since I’ve moved back to Atlanta from Tampa . She is very good & shows good southern hospitality. BUT THE STAFF is very unprofessional & have poor attitudes,pretty much equivalent to the staff at grady hospital. She could use a better constant staff to keep the welcoming & friendly atmosphere going .

Dr. Marie Walker is an awesome Doctor. Some of these reviews are just about her equipment which is superficial. Dr. Walker takes time to talk with her patients, educate them on better habits to prevent Dr. Visits. Dr. Walker is not a pill pushing doctor she is a doctor that cares. I only have issue with her wait time but when you see her it is well worth the wait because she has no specific time limit with her patients.She cares

I have been a patient of Dr. Walker since 1980 and I too have experienced long wait times and a disorganized staff with bad attitudes and employees coming and going. I decided this year to make a change and switched to a new primary care physician. I need to be at a practice where not only the doctor cares and return calls but the staff as well.

Ms. Ann has been there for a long time she is the best and Tasha is Awesome I appreciate her professionalism!!!! Dr.Walker is Amazing! I’ve been coming to this office for years and I wouldn’t switch Doctors for Nothing!

Horrible she values nobody time, changes staff every 2 months, If you want bad service come here. Worst experience ever. Way to old school, equipment old, office has an old smell to it. Lab tech has horrible body odor and she had to stick my arm twice. I will not ever come back. My wait time was 3 hours and i still didnt see Dr. Walker I left. Very unprofessional. I wanted to give it a negative star but i could not.

Hands down, the best doctor I have ever had, it would scare me if the waiting room was empty...that speaks for itself of how phenomenal she is and even though you may have to wait- its well worth it. In fact, its ONLY packed for her and that alone speaks volume!!! A-1 doctor !!!

My mother has been a patient at this office for years and has finally decided to walk away. It is absolutely ridiculous that patients have to wait 3 hours to be seen, go back, only to wait 3 additional hours just to get test results. No apology or update from Dr. Walker or her team. Also, this office has the worst customer service of any Ive ever experienced. Neither courtesy nor compassion are at the forefront of this practice. Stay away unless you enjoy unapologetically long wait times and lackluster service.

Dr. Walker has seen me for about a year, more than 10 times, and still does not know me.She did not listen to me or examine me. She assumed certain problems and then just gave me pills.She does not return calls and medication is often not sent to the pharmacist or sent in incorrectly.She holds your medication for ransom with requiring lots of appointments.She also overbooks way too much.She does not get back to you, even for labs, and sometimes cannot be reached at all by phone.

I guess I can start off by saying THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE PLACE EVER TO WORK FOR....RUN!!!!!! I started there in June NO TRAINING at all NO ONE stays a month it seems like. The turn over is great they leave for lunch and dont come back. The Dr. sits out in her Car on her cell phone while the patients are in the office waiting 3 or more hours. I was let go because I asked to be trained!! I did Nothing at all to be asked to leave besides doing my job...wacko practice CRAZY Place. Oh well she did me a favor!

My appointment was at 1:00 I got there at 12:50. I didn’t get call back till 2 to sit in a room for another hour. I finally got fed up with it and left. WORST SERVICE EVER!! I’m still looking for a doctor that actually cares

Dr. Maria Walker is great, but she has a dysfunctional staff and customer service is abysmal. Ive played phone tag for 2 weeks with them, and once waited 3 hours past appointment time without being seen. I have resigned to finding a new primary care physician with competent office staff.

I came in for a new patient exam. I was told to fast (including no coffee) so I could get some bloodwork done, which meant I had a caffeine migraine when I went in at 1:30. Dr. Walker straight up refused to do my bloodwork even though I told her it was my only day off and i wanted to do it today. She kept saying that I could just come in before work and do it. She asked me if I was having any issues, I said that I had some knee pain but I thought it had to do with my weight and the fact that Im on my feet all day for work. She then proceeded to talk down to me and insinuated that Ive never eaten a vegetable in my life. My diet is almost entirely plant based, which I mentioned and she implied that I must be only eating pasta and bread. I eat a buttload of veggies dude. She then insisted that I had to get a pap smear in order to get my birth control prescription. So Im waiting there, naked in one of those lil hospital gowns while her staff is running in and out of my room for thirty minutes doing something with the biohazard trash. She finally comes in and does the damn thing, but Ive never had a pap smear before and she didnt explain to me what she was going to do. So I was more than a little unsettled by the whole thing. Anyway this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office ever.

I’ve been coming to Maria Walker for over 10 years. She is amazing!!!! She is Great at what she does.

Worse doctors office ever, I was told to google my results from the test and blood work that I had done to have a better understanding. They hadnt even had a radiologist look at my x-rays. I would never suggest this doctor to anyone.

HORRIBLE !! Dr.Walker should really be ashamed of how she treats her patients. This is a behavior she has done for years. My appointment was at 9:30am it was 12:30pm and I was still waiting. Her staff said she was on a conference call. Yea right !! Everyone in the waiting room was literally crying and complaining as if we all were being held in bondage. Two patients before me literally walked out. One man with a cast on his leg began to cry and said I need her to write my prescription thats why I must stay. I then immediately demanded a refund for my co payment from the administrative staff who made me wait even longer because she was on the phone ordering Chinese rice with extra onions. Words cant describe how ridiculous Dr. Walker operates her practice . I wonder if the patients were from a European background would this be standard practice.

DR. MARIA WALKER IS NOT ONLY MY DOCTOR, SHE IS ALSO A FRIEND. ONCE YOU GET IN TO SEE HER, SHE IS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE AND THOROUGH PHYSICIAN EVER. IF YOU WANT ALL YOUR MEDICAL/HEALTH ISSUES EXPLAINED AND HANDLED, DR. MARIA WALKER IS THE BEST !!!

I have been seeing Dr. Walker for 2 years with about 7 appts. Consistently and always my wait is 4 hours. This will be my last visit.

Dr. Walker is amazing. She literally saved my life. I know people complain about the wait time, but I dont mind because I have never met a more compassionate human being.

If I could give no stars I would. I walked in had to greet the staff cuz it would kill them to be nice to the clients.... the staff is rude slow and unprofessional. I cannot for the life of me understand why you make an appointment if ur gone to be there all day 45 mins after my appointment Im still waiting to be called for registration u got to be kidding me!!!!!!!! Drs shouldnt book appointments you cant see like ppl just have time to waste. U are already at work we have to get to ours never again will I go there. Dr walker need to see that her staff is killing her business cuz she actually nice and a good dr

I was recently fired from Snapfinger woods for absolutely no reason at all. All the patients loved me and said great things about me but Dr. WALKER is a different type of person. She became upset when I asked why my check was short. My check had 76hours but when I went to her and told her about the rumors with people accusing her of stealing employees money then all of a sudden I look in the system and my 76 hours turned into 83 because her son who was at the time in control of the employees money, changed it to my original hours once I complained. I believe thats why I was fired. I never interviewed for the position, never received any training or a job description. At the time when Dr. WALKER hired me, she told me benefits would be included but after I started working there I found out she was taking money out of employees check for health insurance but was not giving the money to the insurance provider so Humana terminated her from their company and also wouldnt allow her to accept patients with Humana insurance. She stays in her office and waste time until patient get angry enough to leave. She sends PAs in the room because she dont want to deal with them, she just wants the money, she has stated this to me. Once I told her that her patients requested to see her she said no one has left me yet so oh well. I been in business for 35 years. Every time I perform triage on a patient they would say, How long are you going to be here because she never has the same people for long.. I was working for Dr. Walker for 2 months and seen 9 people come and go..

Dr. Walker is a good Dr. but the wait times are terrible. My appointment was at 10:25am. It is now 2:00 pm and i still have not seen the doctor. Everyone complains but nothing ever changes. When she entera the room she then wants to rush. No, no rushing me after i have waited for more than 3 hrs to be seen and tbere wwre only 3 people ahead of me when i arrived. This makes no damn sense. Dont ever come to this practice if you are in a hurry. Even the older patients complained.

Horrible experience extremely long wait time and actually was not seen. My appointment was scheduled at 930 and when asked when I was going to be seen, I was told I had three people in front of me.....will not recommend this place to know one. I felt dirty at a doctors office. Never again I was trying to give a black doctor a chance but the way this place carry itself is an embarrassment

The doctor spent more time talking to my boyfriend and I was the patient. Nothing in my file from our conversation. She would ask me what do you need today . I was told any problem Im having is because Im older and fat . Just take something over the counter. If I could give a negative 5 I would!
