I made an appointment to see a therapist and did not. I was supposed to receive a call to set up a therapy appointment and received no call. This office just wants to medicate you. I’m now at another office seeing a therapist and it’s great. Please look elsewhere for real help.

I would recommend Core Psych to anyone in need of a therapist or psychiatrist. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was evident that the providers care a great deal about their patients, and I definitely felt at home here. Overall, this was the best experience I have had with seeing a psychiatrist.

First time in was very quick but not in a bad way. They took care to greet us and listened to what we had to say. It was informative and helpful an we will be going back.

I haven’t had the initial intake yet, but I’m giving four stars based on my ability to connect with this office. I was able to connect with the scheduling department and schedule an appointment in the same day. They were extremely nice! The person helping me was patient with me and got me an appointment in less than two weeks.We are in the middle of a pandemic, so people should be patient. You’re not the only one seeing Dr. Shebak.Will update after intake!

Wonderful staff. No wait times, accommodating appointments for busy schedules and convenient no contact appointments. Very caring and attentive physicians. I’ve never felt so respected as a patient before. Would highly recommend.

Mirissa, the (p.a) Physicans assistant….didn’t actively listen , first intake and than brief doctor encounter. She kept saying are you sure you don’t feel this way and i kept say not at all. But kept pressuring me into leaning toawards a certain diagnosis. She wasn’t a therapist or even a psychiatrist. Didn’t offer behavioral therapy methods or techniques. Literally offered me three types of medication the first time.. like no this isn’t what I needed. To boot they rescheduled me 3 different times for people in their office won’t making appointment. But expect me to pay if I ever miss an appointment. Also they do not return phone calls. A big waste of time and money.

Dr. Shady and the staff are amazing. They are caring, kind and professional. I recommend this dr to all my family and friends.

Ridiculous place. I met with Dr. Shebak months ago and he was extremely short and dismissive. My entire screening process took about 5 minutes total. The wait in the waiting room takes forever, and getting ahold of this office afterwords is impossible. Super not safe or okay in this line of work.If you still realize that we are very much in a pandemic, (as MOST doctors offices do...) be very weary of this place. Not a single provider wears or enforces masks here. Definitely not sure how they plan to build trust with their patients when they clearly are not worried about keeping them safe.Opinions about this pandemic aside, they truly do show you how little they care about you as a patient.

As someone who has never been treated for issues regarding my mental health before, I was welcomed with open arms and kindness. It is difficult for me to fit in appointments because Im a full time student, but they are extremely accommodating and flexible and I have had the best experience. Through the generosity extended to me, I have been able to finally get help for something that was hard for me to even seek out in the first place. I am so thankful.

The doctor will actually listen to what you have to say and then prescribe you medications accordingly. He’s open minded and will actually look information up in front of me in regards to treatments methods I’ve heard of if he doesn’t know it, I’m glad he doesn’t have a know it all mindset. The staff are very nice as well but their scheduling system needs to be organized. Everything else is fine I’d say. I’ve never had a rude encounter here.

Don’t waste your time. Poor services and caring.

I had my first appointment on January 13. After waiting 3 weeks for my appointment, I came in, answered general questions, and was told I would get a call from the therapist the next day. A week passed and I never received a call so I called the office and again they said I would get a call the next day. Months passed and I never got any calls, I decided to go back and give it another shot so I made an appointment in March. When I went in I was told the therapist couldn’t make it but they didn’t have my number to contact me. I gave them my number multiple times, but I still gave them it again in case they might have written it wrong. After that, I still never received a call and it’s now April. This just proved how little they cared about their patients. If you truly care for your patients and their mental health then you wouldn’t make them the ones who have to reach out, let alone wait months for a call that was never going to be made.

So I go in there and didn’t even attend my appointment because they stated they cannot help me the way I want to I waited in there for so long and I did not even finish my paperwork because I decided to walk out. When I did that they refuse to remove my information from their system. And now they sent me a bill for $200 even though I do have insurance, they spelled my name in my address incorrect on that form to . I call and called and no one gives me an answer why they would charge me this much while I was not even seen. If they don’t cancel that bill I will file a civil lawsuit they are very unprofessional and I would never go there again

This place was horrible! Dr. Shebak was extremely arrogant & very mean & rude to a medical student that my Son allowed to be on the room. No help what so ever, just a big bill in the mail! The staff was very cold as well. I’m a Registered Nurse & know how important it is to be kind & empathetic to people who are trying to help themselves. I don’t usually give reviews, too busy saving lives. Thought I HAD to say something.My Son felt horrible about himself after leaving this appointment. Please go somewhere else, just trying to help. It’s what I do!!!

Went there for the cavitapi, stayed for the mental help.

The wait was short and everyone was professional and pleasant. My son can be a bit sarcastic but they took it in stride and didnt get impatient or insulted by it. Everyone was very nice and efficient. Able to get a follow up appt really quickly. Great atmosphere. Would rate higher if I could. Very good experience for us.

I tried calling this place on multiple occasions during their business hours listed on Google, their website AND in their voicemail. Its absolute GARBAGE that people who are looking to get help from this place dont get the decency of a call back. How are people supposed to get their prescriptions refilled?? How discouraging to people who genuinely need help. Not answering a persons call who is making the effort for themselves to feel better could be the straw that breaks the camels back. No one should be getting ghosted by their doctor/psychiatrist...

I have had a difficult time reaching this practice, and I am very disappointed in the care provided within this practice. I was supposed to be prescribed a new medication to help my PTSD for the past two weeks, and Ive never felt so under helped by an office. My first appointment was a $20 copay, and my second appointment with the same insurance was $25. All I was told for my second appointment after waiting 25 minutes was an apology and that Id have my prescription filled when it still hasnt. This practice has given me the impression of unprofessionalism, and Im greatly disappointed. I will discuss medication with my primary care provider instead to see if I have a better chance of having my prescriptions acknowledged. I have wasted my time and money when I should have seen at least the slightest progress. I will not be coming back

Dr. Shebak and his staff are very helpful and professional. The office was clean and welcoming, and the staff greeted when I walked in. Dr. Shebak is conversational and makes an attempt to get to know you outside of your diagnosis. They don’t treat you like just another appointment. I also like that they use email confirmations for appointments and paperwork can sometimes be completed ahead of time at home. The admin staff is very knowledgeable and will work with you, your insurance, and the pharmacy to ensure your prescriptions are filled in a timely manner. I highly recommend this office!

I have been very hesitate to seek mental health help but I decided to try Core Psych due to many who referred me to this practice. I am beyond thankful for giving it a chance. Superb office and very knowledgeable staff! Ive never had a psychiatrist more understanding and compassionate towards patients. They specialize in adhd and very knowledgeable of other mental health conditions. They apply evidence-based treatments. Im always greeted very warmly making anxiety complete disappear. I recommend the pharmacy below thrir office too. Decent prices compared to large chains.

Dr Shady Shebak is a one of a kind psychiatrist. Him and his compassionate staff are enthusiastic about helping people, both from within the community and anybody really who is dealing with mental health issues. They are a family run business and they treat you like family when you are a patient of his. No need to go anywhere else

Doctor Shady shebak is one of the best psychiatrists Iv seen. Iv been to several different psychiatrists in Michigan he is my favorite so far. He listens, he dosnt overload you with meds, let’s you take part in your treatment and is very intelligent, cautious and understanding. I would definitely recommend. Best part is they accept almost every insurance plan out there and located just a few minutes away from home which is very convenient. If you’re looking for a professional, friendly and very understanding and helpful male therapist, I would definitely recommend Samer Shebak (dr. Shady’s brother who also works at CorePsych)

This office is HORRIBLE. DO NOT waste your time going here. I’ve left four VM for the front desk, when they should’ve called ME to set up my appointment.... And the have not returned my calls. I’ve run out of medication and now having terrible Sxs. They do not care about their patients. Don’t be fooled.

Dr. Shebak is a great preceptor with genuine concern for his interns and their experience at his busy clinic. His staff and providers were very welcoming and provided me with the exposure I needed for my US clinical experience. Dr. Shebaks breadth of knowledge and preceptorship was one of the most rewarding I have had in my clinical experiences in the United States. I was able to be exposed to many interesting cases during my time there and became very affluent in the specialty of psychiatric medicine and addiction medicine. Dr. Shebaks own to Earth approach with his patients and his empathetic nature provided me the mentorship necessary to be an excellent provider in the future in treating the patient and not only the illness. I am very grateful for his experience and didactic teaching method that gave me a plethora of clinical knowledge for the future of my medical career. I have struggled several months to get a claim submitted by the insurance just to find out from the insurance company that the claim was never submitted. The office told me they submitted it to the wrong keep number and they didnt know till I called, its been 3 month since the first claim. They informed me that they will file it the next Monday and that Monday never came. The fact that I have to call the insurance and the fact that they never contact me back about it show lack of interest on patient care. The doctor was very rude to me every time I would ask him something he would answer me back in a rude manner saying it was my fault or I lacked the communication skills. I had to drive there fourtimes for no reason because it was either the wrong document or theyre still in process. they could have told me on the phone exactly what they wanted. The doctor was unprofessional. He lacked proper bedside manner, he was so rude and unsupportive. He would interrupt me before I finished talking. Im pretty sure most of the reviews here are from his staff. This office should close for the sake of any future patients.

So glad I found this place. I struggled with depression really bad after my grandmother passed away in early February 2019. I came here and Dr Shebak has been amazing! He listens to what you have to say. Erin is amazing as well. After just a couple sessions she helped me get some of my feelings I had bottled up out into the open. Henda & the rest of the staff are extremely nice and friendly. Everyone here makes you feel welcomed. I have even started bringing my daughter here recently because her grandmother on her dads side recently passed away and shes not taking it so well. She loves it so far.

This place is great so far! Ive only met the doctor a couple of times so far but Dr. Shebak actually listened to me when I took assessments to determine treatment, and was finally properly diagnosed after 5 years of seeing other doctors who didnt listen and would prescribe medicine that didnt work, or keep me on medicine that didnt work. Hes very nice and genuinely is concerned about his patients and their wellbeing. My insurance has yet to be finalized so Im not sure how much the office visits are, but as it stands now, hes going to be my permanent psychiatrist. They also have other staff -- psychologists, therapists trained in ACT, DBT, and CBT therapy -- that are also very helpful and attentive.

Though the Specialists couldnt offer help for my Intractable Pain Disorder, the staff is friendly. Drs easy to talk to. Inside was clean and inviting.

Dr.Shady and staff are my to go for complicated Psychiatric conditions. I have only heard great feedback from everyone of my patients that has been seen there.
