I went yesterday and was seen very quickly! I was then picking out my glasses when Ruth C. came over. She was absolutely amazing and very very helpful! I showed her my selection of glasses and she gave me pointers on what would look better for my face, she went to pull glasses that were similar in look but better fit for the frame of my face. I loved the way her selections looked on me and initially I left with exactly what I was looking for. Very good customer service! Ruth was the best and I appreciate her help so much. The Optometrist was great as well she listened to my concerns and never judged me!

I was looking for an eyeglass store where I could get glasses quickly. Found Eyeglass World online and decided to try them out. Stopped in on a Thursday at noon and selected two frames as they are buy one get one. Good selection and I found two frames I liked that fit me. They were very helpful and efficient. Spent around 10 minutes there ordering glasses and they said to stop by after 4: 00 to pick them up. They took my vision insurance which helped with cost.Went back at 4:00 and both pairs were ready. Same day, 4 hrs later. They did a couple of quick adjustments and I was ready to go.I highly recommend this store, Best optical store experience I have had. You cant beat the time saved and the helpful staff. I will get my glasses there as long as I am in central Fla

Bob (GM) and his staff are AMAZING!!!! I called in for a pair of replacement glasses and they had my new prescription available promptly.I called and spoke to Tony and he assure me that my I would be taken care of and the glasses would be ready to pick up the same day.Highly recommend this establishment. Every person I came in contact with was personable and helpful. They treat their clients with respect and are very helpful.

I had an eye exam, picked out an expensive lens which was pitched as having the widest focal point. I was told this particular HD lens had the widest focal area. Upon receiving glasses, I was told to try them for a bit before commenting on them. 2 weeks had passed where I returned to the store to inquire as to the reduced area of focus. After some conversations with supervisors and management, the store did right by me and concluded with my complete satisfaction.

Where to start with this place? My fiancé and I arrived to Eyeglass World around 2pm. When we first entered the establishment there was no greeting or really any direction to where we should go to check in for our appointments. We were a little early so we were looking around. Finally someone approaches us when we’re looking at glasses. The associate that approached us was very blunt, no problem, we weren’t phased by that, we understand some peoples approach to greeting others is different. Not a big deal, we move on and check in. The gentleman behind the counter of the appointment desk was also blunt, but he seemed busy and everywhere is short staffed, we understand that too. We filled the paper work out and my fiancé was brought in the back. The older lady that was assisting us and the doctor were absolute gems, very kind and knowledgeable about their work. We finish up with them and they send us to the shopping area to find glasses. Now here is where the fun began with the sales associate Ruth. Ruth had a lot of opinions, most if not all of them should have been probably kept to herself. Ruth was continuously following us, making sly comments but in essence wasn’t helping? So not really sure why she was following. We find my fiancé a couple pairs of glasses, since there was the BOGO deal going on, according to Ruth. We begin to check out, and Ruth is pushing us to not use our insurance and to pay straight out “because it will be cheaper”, (after we left we learned that was an absolute lie). We listen to Ruth and ask a few questions, and just when we’re on the verge of paying $400 for two frames & lenses, Ruth mentions “because I’m feeling nice today, I’m going to put 25% more off of your glasses. I ask a few more questions, specifically about the warranty being offered. I asked Ruth if the warranty extended to the frames if one of the arms broke. Ruth snaps at me and says “yes, of course.”. I begin saying to my fiancé, “lets go talk about it fir-“, Ruth interjects “keep your knickers on!” In all honesty, I was taken aback, so I looked at her and she says “I was just kidding young man”, I said “Ruth, that wasn’t really funny” and then Ruth says, “well I was going to give you 25% off” and I said, “we’re done here” my fiancé agreed. We’d like to note that we know - we aren’t buying a car, we get that, but we wanted to look around because something didn’t feel right.Honestly, I am so glad we left, we went and saw 20/20 Vision on Hand Avenue. Ormond Beach, FL. We were greeted by two guest oriented staff members that took the best care of us and charged us significantly LESS with the same insurance and the best part is the ones we paid for were more expensive frames.If you are considering going to this Eyeglass World (I can’t speak for other establishments within the company), I’d suggest you reconsider. They will overcharge in every aspect, frames, lenses, eye appointments, etc… The doctor and her older worker that was at the front should consider leaving this dreadful spot where guest experience is the lease of their concern.

For my appointment, the Drs office had me in and out and I was very pleased with their service. When going into the actual store to pick my glasses, I was there for 2 hours and most of it was waiting for assistance. They were understaffed. The manager appeared to avoid any conversation, it was a tech who apologized. You also should not advertise buy one get one if insurance will impact this offer.I called in to inquire about my eyeglasses and was told they had been in for 2 days and a message was left for me. I never received on either my cell or house phone and the woman was quite rude on this call.When I arrived at the Daytona store, I was not acknowledged for quite some time and they were not busy. I stood in the doorway for about 5 minutes until a tech came up to me. Again the manager had his eyes in the computer and was oblivious to my entry and wait. He also needs to take some sensitivity and customer service training.When getting my glasses, it was not a true fitting. He bent plastic without warming it and hopefully it did not negatively effect the integrity of the material. He never checked to make sure they fit around my ears correctly (experiencing some pain with the ill fitting of the frames around my ears).Hopefully when I do return for a proper fitting, the quality of service will have improved.

Greeted with hospitality and great sanitation. They do not bombard you with their service by allow you to browse and give great input. Trips that normally take a few hours only took us an hour and we finally feel like we did not compromise on our glasses.

I had an emergency with my broken glasses and the staff at the Daytona Beach store were awesome. I called and first talked to Jennifer and she told me to come in and they would see what they could do. When I arrived I was helped by a gentleman who although I did not get his name seemed like he was one of the doctors. He said the chances were slim to match my lens but proceeded to check all they had. He found a pair that would work although not perfect. The visit was finished by Stacy and she capped off an awesome experience. Thank you to all and I will be back for any of my vision needs.

This shop always has lots of staff on site, so you never wait more than five minutes. The staff is friendly and capable. They collect your old glasses for the Lions Club and do great repairs on your current glasses.

I went in yesterday for a new pair of glasses. I dont quite agree with the 2 for 1 deal that really only seems to be they double the prices on frames and supposedly give you the 2nd free. I tried to explain I just wanted 1 pair but the lady I spoke to (dont know her name but a latin lady) was very rude on insisting that I have to get 2. Ok, rules are rules so I asked some questions about the frames and she was not helpful- just very snappy and rude and obviously annoyed by my questions regarding the frame sizes. Meanwhile in the background another worker was yelling on the phone to a customer who im assuming it seemed was upset about the service there. This place has good options to pick from but Im good on that. Very hostile environment.

On our first appointment we had to wait an hour to be seen after our scheduled appointment. Today is our follow-up appointment, it’s 35 minutes past our scheduled appointment and we are still waiting to be seen. If they’re going to give people scheduled appointments they should stick to it.

I came here for a simple eye examination and ended up spending over 3 HOURS here! I showed up 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork and did not even get an exam until almost an hour passed my appointment time. After the exam was done I went to the prescription desk to get my new contacts prescription and the spent another 1.5 hours trying to navigate insurance and find my prescription. I finally left because I had other things to do with my day and they told me they needed to ship my contacts anyways so it was alright that I left. A week later, my contacts arrived and I realized they ordered the wrong colored contacts. I called and asked them to fix it, but the gentlemen who answered my call was EXTREMELY rude and continued interrupting me and and told me I [did] not know what I was talking about. when I told him exactly what color I wanted. I told him I would just come into the location in person and sort it out and he continued to try and tell me I should not waste my time and that coming in would be pointless. Eventually I just hung-up because he would not let me speak. I went into the location the next morning and the doctor was able to help and find the exact contacts I was supposed to have gotten within 5-minutes. Staff at this location move incredibly slow and always act like they have better things to do than help their paying customers. I will not be returning to this location and I would recommend your business elsewhere...save your time and money!

I made an appt for my day off, arranged for a babysitter for my child, and when I showed up the receptionist informed me I wasn’t on the schedule.Turns out they made a mistake and made it for the next day. She apologized and told me they’d get me “in an out” if I came the next day and could not fit me in the day I actually scheduled. So I had to leave, showed up the next day and sat for nearly an hour past my appt time. I was there for over two hours and this was during my work day. The exam was not thorough at all and basically just checked my prescription strength. They didn’t offer my contact brand in store so the doc persuaded me to try another brand and “bring them back if you don’t like them.” The miscommunication in this office is horrible. The doctor gave me the wrong info apparently and the store would not honor it. I was also given a $50 rebate form that expired the year prior, so it was useless. Front desk staff also incredibly unprofessional, storming off and ripping off his mask saying “This is ridiculous!” all because I questioned the protocol and asked for the “policy paperwork” he told me they have on returns. He never brought the paperwork (go figure), but showed up 5 mins later with some BS about needing another exam before they’d do anything, and that would cost $199. All that just to exchange contacts that were still in the box (had the exam within 3 mos). Why do I need another exam just because I don’t like the contacts I was sold? What a joke. I was made to feel like a burden, and treated as though I was the one that needed to rectify the situation. Terrible business practices. And now not only am I stuck with 11 mos worth of contacts that I can’t use, I also need to order more from another company. I feel completely scammed.

May 8th 1630. I arrive and immediately yelled at to stop! You havent been checked in no signs of check in no nothing just yelled at. After 5 min someone makes me fill out a form then asks about my insurance then looks at me and says Ill be back. I checked my insurance before coming its a national brand and they are accepted here but the attitudes of the ladies working made me honestly get up and walk out it was so rude and unpleasant.

When I first walked in, I had no idea why there wasn’t record of my appointment. I had been told that I could get my progressive lenses today. I needed them today bc my glasses floated away in the Atlantic and I can’t see past 3 or 4 feet. Come to find out, I had driven, to the wrong store. My name was in the system but for a different location. I believe that God sent me to your store for a reason! Kelly was THE BEST! She ran around and handled everything for me and insisted that I get taken care of today. Even though it was almost 5 p.m. by now, and everyone was super busy, she made sure that my progressive, transition glasses were ready to be picked up before 6 p.m.! Thank you Kelly, Desiree and the comical guy “bossing”(😉) them around!! Customer service is rare these days, especially great customer service but you guys have it perfected! Even in the exam area, o received great service! Thank you once again for helping me “see” and enjoy the remainder of my vacation!! 🤓😎😍

Dr. Burgess was amazing! During my exam he found a piece of metal in my eye (I thought it was saw dust and it had been driving me crazy for a week) and he removed it and also was able to get most of the rust ring and didnt charge me a dime more than the cost of the exam. Its so hard to find anyone that cares and he truly does. And two complete pairs of glasses for under 100 bucks out the door cant be beat. Super helpful and friendly staff cant recommend enough. I’m from the Lake Mary area, but recently needed to come in to this location on an emergency basis after my visiting father lost his eyeglasses. The staff was so helpful and kind to us. Bob in particular went WELL above and beyond. As a nurse, I was extremely impressed with how well they were controlling the spread of covid. They obviously take their customers’ satisfaction *and* health seriously. Thanks, you guys...I’ll definitely be back (you’re worth the extra drive!).

Why is it that every year I shop for glasses here I feel like Ive been had? A new version of the old bait and switch game.Eyeglass World is owned by the same company that owns 2 other brick and mortar eyeglass retailers. Perhaps you notice the exact format and menu amongst websites. While all these stores offer a 2 for $ option, Eyeglass Worlds promotion, 2 for $198 no-line/progressive lens option is the most interesting.Upon calling the store Im told that offer is for old-style, old-technology lens..Im sure you dont have that type if youve purchased progressive lens in the last few years (yes, my family of 3 walked out with 6 pairs just 2 short years ago after purchasing their special 2 for $ sales. 6 pair at an average of $425 per person). The progressive offer I was told I wanted was 2 for $180....but then you add frames and they start at $79 and theyre BOGO. So count on $258. And dont forget your exam, thats $79....and anti glare is $50 per pair.So, before Im sold the need for scratch resistant or high definition lenses my 2 for special is 2 for $437. Why cant they just put that on the website?

I was recently in Florida, visiting my daughter. We went up to Ormond Beach for a couple of days. I had a disagreement with Atlantic ocean, and the ocean won, and claimed my prescription glasses. My daughter looked up Eyeglass World, and called to see if they could get me in. Bob Ross, the GM, called back to say yes, come on over. Two hours later I was all set up with new glasses and a second pair of sunglasses, to be shipped to my home in Michigan. I was very impressed with how helpful, courteous, and professional everyone in the store was, and definitely recommend them to any one in need of new specs. A first rate operation, all the way!!

If I could give zero stars thats what I would do. My friend and I both went same day to get exams and glasses neither of us can see from the new glasses and we both called numerous times. Not helpful people and for the amount of money we spent we should be able to see. Terrible place do not recommend. Dont waste your money or time with eyeglass world.

I want to give a better review because the first pair of glasses I got here were $500 Armani exchange and they lasted almost eight years before they started falling apart... But, The most recent visit I had was a bit confusing as the first optometrist didnt give me a contact exam when that was all I went for, blame it on low bloodsugar, the guy didnt get to eat on time. The glasses exam that I did not want but was given anyway ended up costing me a little more but I learned my eyes are pretty healthy. I ended up going with this place because they are likely the cheapest in town for exams. I likely wouldnt buy glasses here again since I am an adult now and have to buy my own. This place has a decent overhead so they cant afford to sell at prices comparable to warehouse direct business. The only problem I had with this place is they gave me contacts to try after the exam but refused to give me my RX for the contacts I was given. They did not give me my base curve, diameter, or anything when I paid for the contact fitting. I tried getting it via email a month or so later because I was given the lenses from a box, but not given the box so I have no clue what strength OR any other important info that is involved in that particular RX. If I had known they were going to withhold my contact RX from me until I return for a followup that isnt necessary (the guy dilated my eyes that day so it became more complicated) then I would have chosen another place to get the service done. Its as if nobody looked at my intake form whatsoever, because two different optometrists tried to give me regular eye exams. I cant nor do I want to be visiting any business repeatedly who couldnt get it right the second or even the third visit. So still, I didnt get what I paid for and its a shame I cant do a chargeback because I have blocked the card I used.

My experience couldn’t have been better! First of all they are the cheapest I have found. They have a buy one get one free. I got progressive lenses. They have a system where 2 people check to ensure correct. They are perfect unlike last pair I bought at a competitor. I am a fan of Oakley. I ride bicycle to exercise. The pair I picked slid down my face a little. They have a return policy of which they exceeded expectations. I picked a little more expensive pair of Oakley’s to replace. Bob Ross the GM insisted that he would replace at no extra charge. I have new glasses now and love them. If you want a great deal, expert people to work with and excellent customer service go to Eyeglass World in Daytona Beach!

I have to rewrite my original review. I was unhappy with what had transpired but Eyeglass World reached out to me and I went back to see if the issues could be fixed. I was very happy with the response from everyone. Certain things were explained and I need an additional eye test done, I was given a referral and I will follow up. The doctor who gave me my last exam rechecked some things too and Stacy and her both were very helpful in helping me with this. This location definitely has an outstanding staff. I came to Daytona on vacation and lost my glasses in the ocean. Totally put a damper on my day. I came in first thing the next morning to eyeglass world and the staff helped me and I got my glasses by noon (my apt was at 9:15!). So happy I get to enjoy the rest of my vacation. We needed prescription sunglasses whilst on holiday and called Eyeglass World to see if they could help. The whole team were fantastic, especially Stacey and Beth who were so friendly and helpful all the way through. In the end our whole family bought glasses at a great discount and saved lots to what we would have paid for the same in the UK. Not only that but a week later, we sat on the prescription Raybans and broke the frame. They were replaced the next day at no charge! We were most grateful for the helpful and brilliant service. I bought a pair of glasses, with a prescription I already had, and the lady that helped was super helpful! Had my glasses the next day and they fit great. My wife got glasses there and the same lady that helped me, helped her. Again, super great experience and everyone helped both her and I with a smile. However, I don’t recall her name, but one of the blonde optometrist was extremely rude to my wife and unbecoming of a medical professional. I write this review not on the techs that help everyone, but that extremely rude optometrist. She’s needs an attitude adjustment if she plans to stay, and help, customers / patients in the medical field. To the employees and coworkers of her, I hope you find joy in your day even surrounded by her negativity.

NEVER AGAIN. Incompetence at it’s best!Cust Serv Rep’s attitude so smug and condescending that shes rendered incapable of customer care but I couldn’t get past her for 2 visits.This prompted me to contact Corp for advice which in turn offended Mgmt to degree that they were incapable of hearing me.End results… Ins maxed for the year, 5 lunch hours wasted and I ended up with a pair of magnifying readers that I paid a small fortune for.I already have these at home from CVS for which I paid around $20.00.Lens Crafters’ location isn’t as convenient but they are sooooo much better at the job.I hope this review saves someone else the stress and nausea that the staff of this business caused me.

I was in need of glasses ASAP so I could return to work. I able to get 2 pairs of glasses made IN AN HOUR ON A SATURDAY for the price of one pair!! The staff was kind enough to allow me to put on a fashion show for them to get opinions of what looked good since my vision was impaired from an eye laceration. The sales tech. Tony was super helpful and friendly. He was very patient and kind while I took forever to make a decision. If your in Daytona and need help I would totally recommend this place! I was on vacation for a week when I lost my eye glasses. I went here because they offered same day contact lenses. The staff was friendly and helpful even when she had to come back and tell me she only had a demo of my brand and would have to order them. I guess she could read the sadness and disappointment on my face because she went in the back and returned to give me her only demo pair in my prescription. Definitely saved my vacation week!

Worst general manager in the world. Do yourself a favor and dont go here. They told me they couldnt use my expired prescription which i can understand if they didnt just use it 3 months ago. They said they would be shut down if they used my expired frames. So they should be shut down 3 months ago when they did it the first time.... Bob ross the manager started yelling at me super unprofessional I had to tell him to stop yelling. He came up in a really bad mood and was super unfriendly to talk too. I would never yell at a customer. Ive always had really good experience but unfortunately the general manager, mr. Ross. Was a huge disappointment when i asked for corporates number he started getting defensive and tried to not give it to me.

Drove down from GA, on the way, I started to have eye problems, did not bring glasses and needed an eye exam......they got everything done and I left out of there with my glasses in about 2-3 hours. The optometrist, Burl Burgess, was flat out awesome. No idea what he makes but, he is worth every dime and the gentleman up front, assume he is the lead sales guy, got me taken care of. I might drive 7 hours to come back here again, haha

I picked out and purchased glasses and was told that they would be ready the next day. I called the following day and still was told that they werent ready. Same day and next day service is a joke and a gimmick apparently. And while picking out glasess i was ignored completely and offered zero assistance until i was ready to pay for the glasses. Customer size isnt stressed here apparently. I have used them before but this will definitely be the last time.

I just had the worst expriance in eye glass world. Was their in the morning had to leave and r/s for the afternoon got apt @4:45 pm got their place was full .ok i waited was called @545 them gave me some drops up un my eyes at 10 till 6pm was called back @625 them was walk out to get info of how much my ins will allow the man that was takeing care of me didnt know correct info another gentalment had to step in to help still the fris man didnt want the other guys help ,i got up from the table walk away mad. Finally came back and said ok so your porcion is $128. Ok i paid i ask ,so at what time i pick up my glasses tomorrow he looks at me and say 10 to 11 days because we dont have your lences i looked at him and said ur pulling my strings correct i have had the worst expirience with you guys he said no will call you. I walk out sooo mad .

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with eyeglass world after my husband lost his glasses on the beach. They got us right in with eye exam to finished glasses in less than 3 hours ...and they stay open later than most.

Horrible place to deal with. First Dr would rather talk to me about antioxidants & give me his personal cellphone #, the manager fixed that & arranged another Dr to see me. I went in for contacts & glasses. Old Rx was -1.25 now they are saying new Rx is -.25 in left eye & -.50 in right. I was given one contact for right eye. I had glasses made to that Rx. I could not see. I went back & saw another Dr. Now my 3 only to be given different contacts & 2 different pairs to try.....then glasses Rx needs changed which I got a dirty look from the tech about. I go back for contact lens check & see NO Dr, no visual acuity checked, no fitting checked, but have the wrong Rx written for both glasses & contacts until I fought with them & got what I was told my Rx should be. I still am having trouble seeing. I have called the office & will be returning my glasses for a FULL refund & disputing the claim with my insurance!! Incompetent Drs!!! 3 Dr with 3 different Rx!! BEWARE!!!!

I had to return 5 times before they finally got my glasses right. Not very efficient and dont seem to pay close enough attention to what they are supposed to be doing. I was not impressed and will not be returning to this company in the future for my eyeglasses.
