Technician must have been new and not well trained. He could not draw any blood from my arm. He spent five excruciating minutes twisting the needle around to get into the vein. He finally had to call another tech who came in and hit another vein quickly and painlessly. I have never had such a bad experience for a simple blood draw.

Another example of how for-profit health care does not care for people. Patients have to schedule their own appointment, online only, not even available for help with people who do not have online access. When you arrive it is quite obvious that Quest cares very little for their own employees. They are barely trained and obviously low paid and not very well respected. Once again the onus falls on the patient to rate the employee so quest can carelessly get rid of employees who dont meet the mark. It would obviously benefit everybody for the medical community to have long-term secure jobs with ongoing training and strong support for the employees. Then the knowledgeable supported employees could help patients by not putting the workload of office staff work onto patients. Its blatantly obvious that financial gain is the only point of this business... And if you had any doubt, standing 5 minutes in the waiting room will prove it. The large screen TV plays continuous quest commercials as if they can somehow brainwash you into not noticing the lack of care and compassion for actual humans.

The staff were in a hurry but they were not behind; I got in about 6 min late. Front desk was friendly but the tech was not. She did do an alcohol rub, I think once across my arm. When she was finished drawing blood she pressed a swab on my arm, held it with one finger, grabbed the tape, tore off a short piece and quickly slapped it on my arm. When I got in my car I found blood running down my arm.I have been going to Quest for years and never have been treated like this. NManagement better clean things up or trouble is coming, I will inform my doctors so they can evaluate their contract. Sorry Mr. Quest

I had a great experience at Quest today, all thanks to Michelle C.! My lab work was semi-complicated -- order from an out-of-state physician that will be standing for the next 6+ months, and is time sensitive. Michelle answered all of my questions and was very thorough with inputting my information as well as my Dr.s to make sure everything is accurate and results are sent seamlessly. Definitely recommend.

I hate Quest in general and have never had a positive experience. Today I showed up on time for my appointment and waited in line for about 15 minutes to check in. When I checked in the system said I was late and my appointment was cancelled but I could do a walk-in.I waited another 20 minutes outside and went in to see how much longer. She said because its now a walk-in that it would be another 30 minutes minimum. At this point I had been fasting for 10 hours and my childcare was going to end so I just left. Now I have to arrange more time off work, more childcare, and fast again.

I was treated so poorly at this place today (June 8th — Afternoon). I went to get my blood drawn, and the nurse treated my roughly. She used a large needle to draw my blood even though I told her that my doctor said I have thin veins — therefore needing the smaller needle. When she started to draw my blood, I voiced my pain but she kept pushing, not apologizing for being rough with me, telling me that it only hurts because I needed to drink more water. I tried explaining to her that my pain resulting from her being rough on me wasn’t from me not drinking enough water. I tried telling her that I have been drinking lots of water but she did not want to listen to anything I have to say. Her irritation with me was clear for she kept cutting me off every time I tried to tell her she needs to slow down, telling me “I don’t understand what you’re saying” and that “It’s ok it’s ok”—even though she was being rough with me. I told her many times that she was hurting me, but she kept being rough and hasty. She seemed to be rushing to be done with me. Seeing that her aggressive efforts weren’t making any progress on my right arm, she switched over to my left arm. Only then did she finally switched to the smaller needle, seeing that the larger needle was not working. After being rough with me and not acknowledging my pain, she left me without a single apology, only telling me to “have a good day.”

I was a little nervous coming here since most reviews were not so promising. However, the staff here were friendly! The office and the restroom could use some cleaning though.

When I entered the room with my toddler, the TV was blasting violent images into the room at top volume. Some sort of preview for a horror movie. I immediately had to leave the room. This is not an appropriate place for children. We dont even own a TV, much less watch that kind of garbage. When I go back in I walk up to the desk, and I can see a young girl hunched over her phone. Typical freshman, I think. Must be first year med school work experience. She doesnt look at me. I just stand there for a few minutes, waiting for her to say something. Finally I speak. Hello, I have an appointment. She doesnt look at me, just tells me to check in using a touchscreen pad mounted on the desk. Im a little confused who is the patient here, but I decide to go with it to save time. I have to enter a long string of information. Basically Im doing a clerks work for them. Normally you couldnt pay me to use a touch screen. Its tedious and rather beneath me. Im actually paying money to do someones work for them. Sarcastically, I say Boy, they sure make you do a lot of work, (shes still playing on her smartphone) and she says Yeah! You guys I mean, not me! Well, typical teenager, I think. Isnt there something in Freud about sociopaths not understanding sarcasm? Anyway, I have to wait outside because of the TV. I can see her through the window. After messing around for several minutes, she suddenly stands up, calls our name, and snaps on some gloves. This way, please. Wait a minute, I said, wheres the phlebotomist? Me. I just got up and left the room. There is no way Im letting my kid get siphoned by a troglodytic teenager.
