I’d highly recommend her for those struggling with psychological and emotional trauma. Her fees are reasonable ($75/session) and she’s very gentle when putting in the needles. She genuinely cares about her clients’ well-being and is an extraordinarily good listener.I was born and raised in China, so I never doubted that acupuncture could treat and cure minor illnesses and major diseases alike. Acupuncture is definitely not placebo effect. I’ve witnessed how acupuncture CURED some diseases that my parents had. But I never expected that some needles could help me with emotional trauma.Surprisingly, Johanna acupuncture treatment has significantly helped me recovering from emotional trauma! After about a month and a half of acupuncture, I rarely have flashbacks like I did before. I stopped because the pandemic has made me extremely depressed and it’s difficult to keep up with my acupuncture appointments when I’m depressed.(But please keep in mind that I came in for acupuncture five days a week. My family and I believe that if one is to receive acupuncture as a form of treatment, one must make a commitment to doing it every day. This is how acupuncturists and patients go about treatment in China xD)I hope my review helps clarify some of the myths surrounding acupuncture!

Johanna has a such a gentle manner about her.She really took the time to listen - and really hear - everything I had to say, and asked gentle questions to get to know me and my particular situation. Johanna has used several techniques with me (acupuncture, cupping, massage, traditional Chinese medicines), and thoroughly answered my questions.The office is a quiet and calm place, despite the busy intersection outside.I would certainly recommend her practice to friends.

Its acupuncture and more. Thats how I would describe my experience with Johanna Utter. She provides one on one treatment, tips on how to make my health problems easier to manage and most of all, Johanna does the best she can to answer questions I might have during my appointment. She seems to have answers to questions I would ask her. Of course when she doesnt have the answer at the moment, shell remember the question I had the next time I see her. Shes amazing.
