Camp here a lot. Great level sites. Friendly neighbors. Shade on some but not all sites.Do not like reservations they started in 2021 but other than that, a good place.Pic from 2021 Halloween weekend. Great time!

Best bang for the buck traveling cross country from California to Vermont.

Great place to camp with tents, trailers or motorhomes. The rangers and office ladies are always nice. They keep the park trimmed and cut. Always neat and clean.

Always a good time except for people speeding through there constantly. And sometimes, creepy tent dwellers. Lol

Campground was great. The only things I would say is I was really surprised that the bathrooms / showers didnt have any soap to used after using the bathroom. Other than that great place to spend the weekend camping with family.

Excellent campground. We rolled into town without a plan and discovered this campground. Clean facilities, ranger and camp host presence without being overbearing, plenty of space between rv sites, and a very picturesque park with well-maintained landscaping. $22 a night and plenty of friendly people. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a very nice, clean place! Even though its a first come first serve you can usually find a spot. We like coming out here!

Nice county park, reasonable rates. Large sites with full hookups. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Lots of hiking trails and swimming and fishing are available. Fairly close to all your needs. Only a couple miles from a major highway.

Clean. Well-maintained and the grass areas are immaculate. Comfortable spacing between each site. Sewage headerat rear of the pad area,1 water riser for two sites, so you need longer hoses for both. No soap dispensers in the comfort stations.

Gate 5 is the campground we stayed at. Its so much nicer than the other one that is West Lake. This one is totally clean with cement patios and nice picnic tables. We liked having sewer hook up as well as water.

Place is very clean people at desk are easy to deal with park rangers are very friendly when walking the park at night I would definitely recommend this park and go back again it is really nice and quiet at night even though there are people out at night having a good time they hold it down a little bit and dont bother you but the park rangers are still roaming and making sure everything is under control great place

Great campground. Clean restrooms, wide lots for campers and well maicured lawns. Will stay again.

Always loved camping here at west lake. Well kept up and everyone that works here is friendly and very helpful.

Park is very accommodating to fair goers leaving gates open later.

I have always enjoyed the Campgrounds at West Lake in Scott County Iowa.
