Nurse Crystal is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Dr Wheeler really lasks the right questions and listens to his patients.He showed me my X-rays and discussed them with me. He discussed treatments with me and I picked the one I was most comfortable with. I really like him.

I had a great appointment with one of the surgeons recently. I am very impressed with everything about this practice. After completing one last bit of paperwork, I sat down and was almost immediately called back to see the doctor for my initial appointment. They were all very efficient, courteous and pleasant to deal with. I have been to a lot of doctors over the past and have waited for long periods before being seen. This was refreshing to have things go so fast.

Once a year I get shots in my knees for arthritic pain. Dr. Paschal and his staff make this process quick and as painless as possible. He always takes time to discuss my long term care plan. Everyone in his office is caring and excellent at their jobs.

The team was great and Dr. Sakowsi was able to see me on short notice! I was called back, had x-rays taken, good consultative discussion and on my way within 30 minutes! Thank you Dr. Sakowsi for your time, candor and suggestions.

I did not know Dr Raynor before my visit but was very very impressed after my visit. He is not only very knowledgeable but also very personal. Gives a game plan for you to consider and/or follow. A knee injury is nothing you want to have deal with but Dr. Montgomery is the guy for me if I need an ortho doctor.

I have always been very happy with the level of service and competence at Texas Orthopaedic Associates. Very friendly and great customer service with regards to scheduling appointments etc… The amount of time that is spent with the patient is always the right amount of time without being rushed.

My insurance company said that Texas Orthopaedic billed me incorrectly, yet the company is still billing me for payment. I will pay you when you bill it correctly. I love how firms like this can email you a payment reminder, but you cant email back as its a no reply address. Get it together.

( Review about TOA and Dr. Wheeler)TOA handled my knee surgery ( Dr. Racanelli). I’m still in PT getting better following a flipped meniscus / torn MCL. My TOA knee doctor could work on being more personable and not talking over his patient- but I would not take the time to write a review about that. I’m just happy my surgery went well! But 6 months of walking wonky to compensate an injured knee (originally fell and injured my knee in April) has wrecked havoc on my lower back. I told this to Dr. Racanelli at my last appointment and he said he couldn’t help me!! I’d now have to start seeing a TOA back doctor. That was frustrating to hear and I felt passed around. But fine - again I just want relief.I have a very active and demanding career as an attorney and trying to drag a trial box around with a healing knee and extreme back pain for 6 months has greatly impacted my quality of life! I plan everything around knowing I can only walk about 4 minutes before my leg is tired and I have to stop walking due to severe back pain. I EXPLAINED ALL OF THIS TO THE TOA DOCTOR I was passed off to; Dr. Wheeler!Racanelli told me he was new to TOA; just finished his fellowship. I should have known. Dr. wheeler seemed nice enough -BUT THEY FORGOT TO SEND OVER THE ORDER FOR MY MRI for my back! I went Tuesday. By Friday when I had not received a call from the imaging center to set up my MRI; I called both Wheeler’s office and SW Diagnostic. I confirmed with SW they had no new order for me. I called TOA / Wheeler - a lady answered and said someone would call me back. Call me back ?!! I’ve yet to receive a call back and my MRI is still not scheduled. Maybe I’ll hear something Monday because now it’s the weekend.Additionally, I asked Dr. Wheeler about pain management. Why am I having to ask you whether I should ice and whether I should take Advil or Bayer. Care enough to initiate that conversation and remember to schedule me!I gave the back story for a reason! If someone has been in pain 6 months .... geesh try and remember the care they need. ( both Wheeler and Racanelli remembered to push some cream product!) I know it’s just a week to you Wheeler / Staff -but feels like another week gone where I stayed in the house as much as possible to avoid pain from walking.I’m beyond frustrated with doctors. This all follows an initial doctor missing my knee injury all together because he didn’t even bother to obtain a decent MRI. So I was initially just grateful Racanelli repaired my knee and I’m walking. But to then run into another seemingly uncaring ( holding Wheeler responsible for his staff) doctor ... I have no worlds!!Do all your patients get this level of care? Really wondering if it’s just someone like me. Given how unlucky I’ve been lately with doctors - it really begs the question; are all patients SEEN and cared for the same in the medical profession.

My appointment went as smooth as expected. Minimal wait time in the waiting room was a good thing. Once in the exam room the wait time to see Dr Montgomery was fantastic, hardly had time to use my cell phone. Dr Montgomery was very pleasant, as always, and explained everything to me so I could understand. He’s the best.

Not only did I feel like he was the best surgeon I’ve ever been to after having a femur break surgery with another doctor in Tahoe the year prior it was basically confirmed when my primary care doctor in southlake recognized his name when I told him who did the work and said ‘oh yea he’s solid. I don’t know him personally but know of his quality work and have no concerns.’ Seriously one of the most top notch surgeons I’ve ever been to and unfortunately I’ve had multiple surgeries to fix bones (tend to break things). I’ve had zero hardware issues, which was not the case on the femur. Things are healing well and his overall experience has been great. He can be real fast in the doctor visit appointments pre and post surgery but it was more just because he anticipated my questions and had answers for them already. I’d rather someone like Dr. Sakowski who spends less 1 on 1 time with me but is amazing with a scalpel in his hand than another doctor who spends more time with me but not as good with my bones/injury on the line. I recommend this guy 1000%. I never want another break but if I do I’m demanding Dr. Sakowski do the work!

My visit was great. The entire staff took the time to explain to me what the game plan was for my recovery and I felt that I was treated well.

When I completely twisted my knee skiing in Colorado, I asked my daughter’s Physical Therapist over at Scottish Rite for a referral to a great doctor that would get me back into commission, keeping a mindset that I am a very active individual and want to continue being active. After visiting with Dr. Raynor and reviewing all imaging with him, he was completely thorough in what plan of action he would take. He explained to me that this wasn’t an easy injury, so he had a plan A, B and C to work with once he got into surgery and could see more. His nurse Krissy was not only extremely thorough with the day of surgery instructions, but she also spoke very highly of Dr. Raynor. On the day of surgery, he reviewed his plan of action again with the understanding that there is a small chance he may have to go back into surgery in a few months based on my recovery from the approach he would have to take. Once surgery was complete, all imaging and the procedure were thoroughly reviewed with both my husband and myself. I have my follow up next week, and I’m so excited that on day 1 post op I can finally straighten me knee again after 2 weeks on crutches!

Dr. Montgomery is an excellent Dr.He is caring and very informative. I had a bone marrow edema for 6 months that was mis-diagnosed. I was to the point that the pain and discomfort I felt I was going to have to live with. I saw Dr.Montgomery and he did a very thorough exam and then had a game plan to the treatment I would receive. Well 2 months later I am on the road to recovery and the treatment is working.I wish I had been referred to him months before and would have not had to deal with this issue so long. Doctor Thornton has been my ortho guy for some time now. Hes done both running and gym related meniscus repairs on my right knee and Im doing great (Im 63 now). Having shoulder issues now and x rays showed that I have bone on bone arthritis and need a complete shoulder replacement. Needless to say I was a bit shocked but Dr. Thornton put me in touch with one of his colleagues - Dr. Kevin Kruse - who specializes in shoulder replacements among other things. I have to say that Dr. Kruse is cut from the same cloth as Dr. Thornton - Im completely at ease with the game plan. Anyway, Dr. Thornton is the best in my book.

I was able to have my surgery (with a change of insurance at the beginning of the new year) and ever since Ive done exactly what hes told me to do and my ankle is healing nicely! Dr Thorton was a pleasure to work with and really took care of my low grade torn tendon. I am thankful to Dr Montgomery for listening to me, and seeing me as a person. I would recommend him to anyone who needs fair and well rounded medical advice. Dr Montgomery is certainly well versed in his field as a surgeon but he also takes a whole body approach. He is willing to see other factors beyond the injury. He is more than a surgeon. He looks at many treatment options. For example, he helped me make one dietary change that drastically reduced my overall inflammation (removing gluten, and reducing all grains). Pain and clicking in my knee went away almost entirely very quickly! Not only is my injury almost completely healed, I lost weight and I am 100 % able to do my job in the medical field including jogging up and down stairs! I am also back in the gym. I am SO thankful to God for healing me and for allowing Dr. Montgomery to be pivotal and essential in this story! He is definitely worth the consult!!! He has a nice way about him too!And... NO surgery was needed for me!

I have seen Dr. Thornton for an ACL over 10 years ago and a Meniscus injury on the same knee. This time its my right knee. He is not one to quickly jump to cut you open. He explains everything very thoroughly and is never in a rush to get you out. He makes sure you understand everything hes explained to you. Great bedside manner. Staff is great as well. I have recommended Dr. Thornton to several family and friends. My 75 year old mom has gotten her meniscus repaired and walks fast than me and is very active. 100 percent recommended!!!
