I gave a 4 star rating to the staff for being so friendly but I was really shocked by the price quoted for glasses. I felt like I was in a used car dealership. First I was quote $750 and when I said I thought that was overpriced the sales lady went to the back and claimed she was giving me a 50% discount. Why was a quoted twice hat price in the beginning?

Dr. Burk, the most knowledgeable and competent eye doctor I have had in my life. Prescription contact lenses and my cataract surgery all had been problems in past, she resolved them all. Got me through difficult vision challenges with reassurance and her confidence gave me peace. If you want the best come to Doctor Burk’s practice all her staff a d Assitant are amazing!

Ive seen some posts about how rude the front staff are. Theyre not rude, theyre just busy. There are a lot of people who go to Dr. Burk, and for good reason. She is an outstanding medical doctor, very bright, very personable, great manor. She was recommended by a retina specialist I went to who is himself highly regarded. I would not hesitate to see Dr. Burk.

My father went to see Dr. Burk on 12/17/20 and he arrived on time for a 2:15 pm appointment…..he was not out until after 5:30 pm. Over 3 hours……and the large waiting room was completely packed with patients. This office is NOT practicing social distancing one bit. He said the chairs were maybe 6 apart! There was not a single chair available, so my father opted to wait in a separate room. This quite ridiculous….! I read all the bad Google reviews prior to scheduling him and sooo many stated these same concerns regarding the extremely long waiting times and overbooking appointments…..but I was hopeful this would not be the case. Boy was I wrong….they are all true. After all of this ordeal, they were not able to provide much input for the issue he was having, prescribed some drops and sent him on his way…..oh they wanted to see him back in a month. He will not be returning! Do yourself a favor and listen to Google Reviews! I wish I had….

Upon entering your office, I was very pleased with the staff as well as the organized and welcoming atmosphere. All the staff had very pleasant attitudes.The service I received was very professional and was carried out in a timely manner. My meeting with Dr. Burk went very smoothly. Dr. Burk displayed a very bubby personality while still maintaining professionalism. I had cataract surgery on both of my eyes, and both cases I felt relaxed and in great hands.The day of both surgeries I noticed during pre-op that Dr. Burk would make rounds on all her patients with happy spirits. I thought it was very nice of her to come through and speak to each and every patient. I smiled as she danced down the hallway with a bright smile on her face. I would most definitely recommend Dr. Burk to friends and family.

I had a great experience at this location. I read the previous reviews and I was a little nervous going in for my appointment but I found all of the staff to be very courteous and attentive from the eye test to helping us pick new glasses. Highly recommend.

I went through a very unfortunate situation with my eye sight and she was extremely careful, professional and I could say she saved my sight. She did follow up with my calls even during the holidays and even saw me on her days off. No human is perfect but she definitely took extra care of me. I have never taken the time to thank her for all she did for me.Thanks Dr. BurkGabriel

Miserable experience. Spent over 3 hours for a 5 minute visit with a doctor who was more interested in complaining about her inept staff and insulting her other patients than serving me the patient. I was seen by 3 different techs who did various tests including for my eyewear Rx. I assumed that would be done by the doctor. Doctor wouldn’t let me ask a question or answer a question without interrupting me. Also, they take no special precautions to protect patients from covid. She literally told me “if you’re worried about all that you should stay home for another couple months!” Now I’m praying I wasn’t infected there.

What in Gods holy name did I do to deserve such a terrible office visit? They were so nice on the phone but once I was there and they had their precious, precious money the veneer of kindness and professionalism washed away. Not only did they take nearly two hours to see me (I was 30 minutes early to my appointment mind you), they LOST my insurance card and basically shrugged their shoulders when they did. The person (?) at the front desk basically said Call youre insurance to have them send you a new card then immediately went back to her phone. Then the doctor herself, Linda Burk, spent all of 5 minutes with me and acted as if she just couldnt be bothered to be there. This was the last time I ever come here. Stay far, far away.

The 1st day after cataract surgery, I woke up and through the surgery caused me to get grey hair. Turns out, Its just that I can now see the grey hair.

I love the tech, that waited on me, but had two more test to be done, they could have been done in a quickly manner, but staff was on their phone, or in the room just talking to one another, your Staff reflects your business, and should have ZERO tolerance when it comes to clients. The young man that works in the frames, wanted to put me in a box like I didnt have money, was on a fixed income...and that is far from the case, and didnt want to show me frames across the hall, said they were high fashion. So, I purchase frames from another location. The Doctor was great, but I would have rather went to WALMART, where you see a productive STAFF, the business manager came through and was very upset, she really needs to clean house with most of the staff, and hire some young WOMEN that really take their job serious. 2 stars for the TECH, and the DOCTOR

Just got news that a friend of mine waited from 1:30-8:00pm for her cataract surgery. Shes 78, had nothing to eat all day and is on oxygen. You tell me if they even care??? There were so many people waiting...Sounds like greed? Overturn the patients for more $$.

I love Dr. Burk! She is wonderful with patients and has taken great care of my eyes for many years.That said, its pretty rough when you need to schedule an appointment and call DURING BUSINESS HOURS only to get a recording advising you to leave a message for a return call - at the the end of which theres another message advising that THE VOICE MAILBOX IS FULL....REALLY??? SERIOUSLY??? Hmmm...

This practice is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. They overbook the appointments knowing that they cannot keep up, so you end up sitting in the waiting room for an hour to be seen. Then the techs see you for eye exams that are literally done by the machines. When you order contact lenses, the staff does not know what to do, who to talk to, and how much the order would be. The worst part is when you call them to follow up with these things, no one bothers to call you back--EVEN THEIR MANAGERS. You know this place is sooooo poorly managed by the fact that the turnover rate of the staffing is so high just within 3-6 months, and no one knows who does what. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. I would rate them a zero star if google would let me.

Rude, unprofessional, and incompetent staff. I waited over 2 hours in the office to be seen. I waited 4 hours for a 15 min. surgery. Thats just greedy to schedule so many patients for the money and disregarding the patients needs. You are literally just lying in a waiting room with no TV or no music, no entertainment for 4 hours to receive 15 mins of surgery. Just greedy, greedy, people. Please get someone else better, you are worth it!!!

I believe Dr. Burk being a very good doctor, and I never experienced rudeness as I read on many reports. The negative side of the office is that there are too many patients scheduled at the same time, what will cause long time waiting and too short time for Dr. Burk to interact with you, which would create not enough time for her to explain results and for the patient to get what he/she wants to know correctly.

The staff here is just so rude! They didnt explain anything about the process or what it was that they were doing. Literally spent the whole day there because they just over book. The doctor only went in to the room for less than 5 mins and that was it. Didnt explain anything just said that she was going to do a cataracts surgery and to schedule with the girl upfront. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Never going back there again.

Love Dr. Burk but HATE the waiting time for each visit!! In the three years Ive taken my mother there, weve only had one visit when we were in and out within a reasonable amount of time!! Usually a visit lasts at least two hours!! Which in my opinion is ridiculous! Also, staff is very young, unfriendly and not very professional.

The office staff is extremely rude which is so sad for Dr Burk becuse she is such a nice person yet extremely overworked eventhough she really knows what shes doing. I cant get past her rude staff so I wont be going back.

I really dislike this office for several reasons. #1 The front desk staff are very rude they dont greet you as you approach the counter they will just stare at you and continue chatting amongst each other.#2 Dr.Burk seems to be over worked she spends little time with her patients and is rushing to get to the next.#3 Waiting to be seen is a joke. Be prepared to wait at least 45 minutes after your scheduled time. I only continue to come here because Dr Burk is familiar with my situation.

Did not diagnose and treat problem adequately. Office staff and assistants techs sometimes rude and not helpful. Herds large groups of people through tech areas before seeing the dr. then dr is rushed and spends very little time with the patient. sometimes small parking lot is so full that no places are available. Beckley street location has no other available parking on street or anywhere near office.

One of the rudest front desk and office personnel. Whats worse is how rude they are to the elder and treat them with disrespect and ridicule. My mother had been a patient of this clinic and after the bad service she received in the last year I am removing her from this doctor and reporting her office staff to her and to the medical board for this eye doctor. There is no reason to be rude, mean or ridicule a senior citizen.
