I moved in to McCallum Communities in December and I love it! The price is great... my apt is super cute and the lovely ladies at the front office top it off 👌Great, friendly customer service and it is just an all around great experience for me!!! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND you take advantage of the great move in deals that they offer!!!! Cannot beat it :)

The leasing staff has changed three times within three years. The latest office staff has very dry and uninviting customer service skills.The parking is terrible even with assigned spots. Dont bother with paying movers, the roaches will help you with your move. Im paying for pest control monthly but my apt doesnt get serviced when I put in a request, its now week three. The dumpsters overflow like Niagara Falls daily. Ive been here for three years and the previous management and staffing were very professional and attentive. Props to the maintenance crew for doing great work, all two of yall, you guys do a lot of hard work and continue to be friendly and helpful. Needless to say, my time at mccallum is coming to an end and I could not be more excited.

I have been here at McCallum Communities for a year I will have to say that the management team here is awesome. Maribel Martinez manager, Victoria Garcia assistant Manager are so awesome. They go above and beyond to make sure that they accommodate all of their customers. Also the office staff is great, the office personnel was so helpful when it came to fixing the water leaks and to get all the Apartments hoy water. If youre looking to move I will greatly suggest for you to move here you will not be dissatisfied one bit. Thanks for all you have done and yes I will be renewing my lease Maribel!!!!

From first putting an application in to move in day everyone at McCallum Communities is pleasant. The process was smooth and quick. If you are looking for updated apartments that are in a very great location, McCallum Communities is where you want to live. Easy access to PGBT and shopping of all kinds. Clean apartments that have plenty of parking and nice neighbors.

Charles in the office was very rude and unprofessional. He hung up on me answered the phone again and hung up again. Simple questions are not being answered as far as what my next steps of the move in process are. They’ve had my application and application fee of $150 for 3 weeks now. They never answer the phone and claim nothing has got done due to a computer being down for 10 days.

Moved in February Alma was very nice and made everything easy so far i have had no issues. The Apartment complex is very nice and quiet no loud neighbors or anything like that i would definitely recommend living here! Thank you to Alma and everyone in the office keep up the good work!

I would highly recommend living here!!! The property is very well kept clean very nice amenities. The property manager Maribel is super nice and very professional. Maintenance is on there game. Great community since the new management has taken over. They are very kind and have helped solved important issues like garbage collection by facilitating free garbage tins. They were super helpful during Texas Freeze, even going a step further by providing free water bottles case.Highly recommend this society.

My lease expires in two months and I do not plan to renew. While I appreciate the improvements from the new management, there are safer, cleaner properties on the same street. The appliances in the units are DECADES old. There is trash everywhere on the property. Food wrappers, water bottles and beer cans litter the parking area, along with animal waste. Parking is a real issue. There is extremely limited visitor parking, only along the very back of the property (not at all convenient if you live in the front building as I do). You can rent a covered reserved parking space for $30/month, but there are MANY broken-down cars that park in these spaces with no parking passes, expired license plates, etc. I feel like Im living in a junkyard. I have notified UTD Student Housing that new students should be warned away from this property. UTD students can do better than this property!

I have lived here 6 months ..New Management Company is Wonderful. Respectful have cleaned up property beautiful. Peace and Quiet. Recently they had company come replace toilets and shower head the crew was WONDERFUL..they left my apartment clean and tidy .I cant say enough good things about them all..Thank You All..

The ladies in the office are very nice, attentive and professional. Whatever issues Ive had have been fixed within a timely matter. I definitely will be a long term resident here. This place is the best at fees and unnecessary charges. Your guest have to pay for parking. They tow residents & guests cars often. There is trash everywhere. They harass you for payments without telling you what they are for. Dont live here

Over the last year McCallum Communities has dealt with the COVID pandemic and the deep freeze while also switching management, so its been through a lot of changes, both good and bad.The new owners make it very inciting to live here with a a lot of amenities, and a pretty website, although a lot are closed due to COVID. There are also some pretty expensive and useless features (like valet trash that literally pays someone to walk the trash to the dumpsters),New management are really nice and apart from some pretty terrible insulation (like all buildings in TX) the apartments themselves are nice.

Wow, many of the people leaving 5 star reviews just so happen to work in the office! The same office that never responds to repairs, never enforces the rules, and cant seem to keep the hot water running. The same office that gave me the wrong instructions to prepare my home for bedbug treatments. The old property management werent the best, but these new people are so much worse. As someone currently living here, dont move here. This place sucks, management sucks, and there are better options out there.

She was very kind and professional. It is my understanding that there is a new management that has taken over and Id like to say that the company has a great employee.

They changed property management team in 2020 Sep. The new team is much better than the previous one. The manager Maribel is very friendly, professional and responsible. Always response quickly and care about tenants. She even gave free pumpkins during Thanksgiving!

My friend recently moved in and I love her new apartment! Great location near major highways and target is literally 3 minutes away. I love the walk in closet and the fact that they have washer and dryer connections in her new apartment. I can’t wait till my lease is up to move in here.

Dont rent here. Ive never had a roach problem ever in my life, until I moved here. As soon as the weather broke the bugs came and never left. Pest control placed some bait all over my kitchen and bathroom twice, but somehow they still persist. I wash my dishes daily and dont leave food out. My window leaks water into my living room every time it rains. Maintenance has fixed it 2 times so far. But somehow on 8/30/2020 My entry is covered in water again and ruining my shoes. You will regularly find the dumpster full/overflowing, and smelling up the parking lot. Its noisy at night no matter what day of the week. I truly cant leave fast enough.

Absolutely ghetto!!!! Absolutely avoid this place! They tow your car even when you park your car is parked in the exact place they tell you to park. Absolutely insane place. Their response.... The tow company cannot be wrong. Had a photo of where we parked. Said that was not good enough. And roaches galore at this place. The only thing that is more prevalent than the roaches are the amount off times the cops are there.

Cant wait to break my lease. Worst experience ever.One time, they lost weeks worth of my mail and did nothing about it/wouldn’t help me figure out where it went.One time, my apartment swarmed with bugs over night and emergency maintenance was no where to be found, with no apology, and no attempt to reach me when they finally did receive my messages. They didn’t send pest control until weeks later. I reached emergency maintenance at neighboring apartments tho, I would reccommend McCallum MEADOWS to anyone looking.Pool hasn’t been open since I’ve been here.Never able to reach anyone by phone.The new staff is incredibly rude. During the transition not only was emergency maintenance not available, but it’s months later and we still can’t pay rent online. They don’t even give us a statement of how much we owe, they expect us to figure it out our selves.Again, I can’t stress how awful this experience has been.

Maribel the new manager is very friendly and comes out of her back office to greet people and help her assistant and leasing staff. The new apartment managing company has updated parking stickers and has reorganized the entire parking situation to include more visitors lots to help the safety of parking. This will prevent residents from other nearby apartments from parking in visitors parking spaces. I am generally impressed with how they have moved in and have solved problems that have been existing for the last years I have lived at McCallum.

I have lived here for 4 months. The old management company wasnt great, but a new one just took over. Theyve been really good so far. My work orders finally got done. The property is cleaner and theyre getting tough on the people just loitering around.

I would recommend McCallum Communities because for three weeks living here Im comfortable in my own space pretty big closet to walk in. The office staff and maintenance were very helpful through out everything Im comfortable where we live.

Everything that was described on the lease was straightforward and accurate. The office people were really helpful and did their best only by walk-ins. Communication by phone is non-responsive (non-emergency) so if you want to communicate them about any issues or questions its best to go to their office.

I’m reviewing late but I been wanting to post mine. Randomly getting the urge bc where I’m at now after moving out of McCallum are the worse ! Idk about the complaint about amenities but I found this apartment to be very affordable . I lived here for 2 years and this was my first apartment on my own. It’s kinda small but you get what you pay for and it’s pretty decent . Some roach problem but that happens , proper cleaning and traps kept them away unlike where I live now. What I loved the most was leasing staff and maintenance. They were really on top of it. Victoria was very compromising and communicated well with me, especially came move out time. Also was offered a special to transfer units after my first year . Nothing is perfect when looking for something affordable in dfw area, but definitely not the worse. Thank y’all !

This review is for Wehner Multifamily the management company that just bought McCallum Glen apartments at 7740 McCallum Blvd. in Dallas Texas. Jose the Lead Maintenance person came and figured out why my air conditioner wasnt working. Hes going to fix it Tuesday (September 8th) as the blower motor is burned out. But, hes bringing a window unit to at least cover the apartment till then. I work from home due to COVID so I cant leave my apartment for multiple days. To be clear, Im giving Jose a 5 star review. The management company has not communicated with residents and I dont even know how to pay them rent. At the moment Id give them a very negative rating for a severe lack of communication with residents.

Wouldn’t allow me to view the actual apartment I would move into before signing the lease. I understand the COVID concerns but not even a virtual tour was offered after traveling 2 hours. Waste of time. Don’t look like the pictures(seriously they don’t) which is the main reason why I wanted to look at the unit first. Parking also seemed tight. I wouldn’t recommend. I wish I wouldve believed the reviews.

We have had staff say they wi come in to check for water damages and have people fix them. Have not seen it happen. They say they will get plumbers to fix the problem. Have not seen it happen. They told us to go to a warm shelter that is only open till6 and not over night. They dont care about us or anybody here. Please for the love of god dont move here. They have staff writing postive reviews. They turned off water and said they dont know when it will be back

The girls in the office were very kind they had special offers that allowed me to be able to apply where as I normally would not have been able.

Called to confirm they would be open at 1230pm today and arrived to a closed until 130pm sign on the door... When I looked in everyone was there at their desk, what seemed like not doing anything at all. I knocked on the door and was very rudely greeted by SOPHIA and condescendingly told heres the sign... Fortunately they accepted my rent payment but I was left with a very foul taste in my mouth after being handled so rudely as a resident of this property for 4 years.. The new management team needs to work on their customer service, starting with Sophia.

Great location and friendly staff! I love all the events (outdoor movies with popcorn by the pool is my favorite so far) that make it fun to meet your neighbors. Good parking and my cat loves all the windows in our apartment. I even got $200 off my rent once for referring my coworker!!

I recently went to view an apartment with this company and when I tell y’all I was so disappointed. The staff was okay for the most part but the model unit that they was showing off was HORRIBLE. As soon as you open the door to the model unit you get hit with the smell of old cigarettes. Sadly that is the smell throughout the whole thing, the floor was uneven, and it was just all around disgusting. On top of that parking was so hard to find. Someone almost hit my car. This place is truly not like the pictures. I wish I would have listened to the reviews before I wasted my gas and time going out there.

Not great apartments. Not even for the price. Don’t pay extra for parking, because people will park in your spot anyway. Pool is dirty. All gym stuff is broken. Just poor upkeep all around.Poor customer service, the employees won’t help you for anything. Probably the worst placed I’ve lived and I have lived in military barracks... they says something. Would rather live in a tent.

I would have given this complex a great rating except for one thing. I think management was very rude for a mistake that they made and did not rectify for nearly 10 months. It could have been handled much better than it was and I would not recommend this facility to anyone. Positives, I will say that not all management is bad, the staff that I had spoken to initially actually seemed kind. Also, I think it is very unprofessional for anyone to have to rent something through word of mouth and not a written rental agreement.

Rude staff. Management has no compassion. I’ve been waiting on my deposit for 30+ days still no real answer. Victoria and Kylie are the most unprofessional managers I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve emailed Kylie (From corporate) 6 times for my deposit refund and she hasn’t return my emails or calls one time. Victoria is always very short and rude when communicating with her. No compassion Or understanding AT ALL. Misty another manager said she would help but now every time I call she’s never in office. Worst experience ever! Very disappointing

I will never move into these apartments again. When I first moved in there were bugs before and after doing bout 6 bug bombs. Things in the apartment started breaking and falling apart after moving in, had maintenance come fix some of the stuff and they didn’t fix it the right way and ended up not working months later. They charged me twice for my rent and say I still owe a late fee when I paid it with my rent already. You’re better off living in the neighboring apartments.

I also moved out of the apartment two months ago. He not only did not give me a deposit, but also gave me no reason to pay 620, but now I have to pay 1500 to them. Dont move in there ！！

The apartment complex never returned my security deposit and the place was infested with bugs (bedbugs). I was glad to be done with my initial contract with the complex.

Do not rent an apartment here--especially if you have a car. They are in cahoots with Longhorn Wrecker of Dallas. Your car will be towed if you park it with the front end facing out. They will tow you, as they did me tonight, when I had my emergency blinkers on while parked in front of my apartment, taking my grocery bags inside.Longhorn Wrecker drives all over the apartment complex at all times looking for a victim. I wonder what the kickback is that the apartment complex receives?

Always loud and can never sleep. During the day it’s either the kids screaming, leaf blowers, or ignorant person blasting rap music. The walls are made out of cardboard and you can legit hear a conversation in the parking lot clearly. At night even if your neighbors TV is on you can hear it through the air vent. I’ve been woken up by my neighbors because they are having a conversation. Fire trucks and ambulances are always coming at night with there loud sirens. Even a car driving on the road you can hear while rubber meets concrete. I’m telling you the walls are PAPER. Cheap along with verything else in this place.All I want is peace and quiet. I already have a hard time sleeping. Is a little bit of silence so much to ask?

Ms Garcias thoughtfulness and tenacity has been instrumental in getting UPS & FEDEX (especially FEDEX) to deliver my packages to my Apt; instead of dumping them off at the rental office which is their preferred means of delivering items. The drivers suffer from a laziness syndrome that predisposes them to expend the least amount of energy possible!I wish to give a shout out to Ms Garcia, RENTAL SPECIALIST/ OFFICE PERSONNEL, it may not seem like much but having a mobility issue makes this assistance very helpful and deeply appreciated!! After seeing several reviews online about Mccallum, I decided to check it out for myself. Kyndal did a wonderful job w touring me, explaining fees, and all around making my visit as pleasant as possible. Its extremely affordable, especially since Ive paid more for an even worse experience. I had the chance to meet a few different residents while I was there and they were very nice people. Everything you could need is within a couple miles distance and everyone in the office was wonderful. Out of the several apartments I was shown, I saw no evidence of critters or rodents anywhere, which was what really made me check it out for myself. I would suggest Mccallum to anyone looking for affordable living and a decent place to live.

I have never before wrote a review until I move to this apartments.This is the worst place to live ever!! Please if you are looking to move here forget about it unless you want to have an infestation of ROACHES as your roommates, roaches are everywhere they will come out on the kitchen they wont let you cook in peace or anything, theyll be in the bathroom too, but still you will find them in other places of the apartment also. I have a little baby and this is awful for me even though is completely clean roaches will come out. We spoke to the staff and didn’t do anything about it so we went to the manager even she went to the apartment and saw what was happening but she didn’t even care about the situation she even told me yeah I know we got roaches what kind of manager is that, they have only spray once and for that kind of infestation is not enough. Apartment complex is really old so everything in the inside is pretty old as well, a lot of things need to be fix cause they will give you the apartment without any repairs, appliances are really old too, kitchen gabinets are the worst their falling apart you cant store anything inside them because youll get the roaches on your food and everywhere. All neighbors and neighborhood is full of Indian people.The apartment always SMELLS bad since the day we move in and it’s been like that every day. You’ll never find were to park after 8pm. What else can I tell you if I can I would give negative stars to this apartments.The worst decision I ever made in my life.

Failed to explain where the assigned parking was and my vehicle was towed less than 12 hours of moving in. They refused to take responsibility or do anything to resolve the issue. Absolutely avoid at all costs. They will take your money and screw you over.
