I began seeing Dr. Berk after it became obvious that my many years of trying to lower my blood pressure on my own was not working. That was four years ago and these days my readings are consistently normal. Recently, on a Sunday, I began experiencing some unusual chest pains. I thought they would go away over the course of an hour, but they persisted, so my wife took me to a nearby ER. They were unable to find anything wrong, but recommended scheduling an appointment with my cardiologist. That evening I reported my symptoms on the My Chart web site; the next morning I was contacted and given an immediate appointment with Dr. Berk. Although everything seems to check out okay, Dr. Berk has scheduled additional testing in order to confirm Im okay. Dr. Berk doesnt mess around -- he just knows whats best and is genuinely concerned about his patients well-being. Thank you, Dr. Berk!

Mr. Berk has been my cardiologist for 17 years. I trust his knowledge and ability to diagnose what is going on in my heart. He always assures me that things are going good. Just wish he had 5 minutes more each visit to talk with me. Must start writing those questions down to ask. His staff in the Greenville, TX office are cheerful and kind.

Dr. Berk and his partner Dr.Le were absolutely amazing in diagnosing and repair of my condition. I was in the beginning stages of Atrial Fibrillation. Dr. Berk, with Dr. Le decided that an Ablation was the best form of procedure for me. I left this situation totally in their hands and proceeded accordingly. I have been told that after one more month, taking blood thinners, will be a medication of the past. My sincere thanks to both these wonderful, caring individuals. I feel great and look forward to a bright healthy future. My thanks also to the wonderful care of the staff at Presbyterian.

Dr Russel Berk is a good and great doctor. He also has probably the best office staff ever. They are happy and eager to help their patients, It is like being served by your best friends. They are very efficient and great problem solvers. They have everyone smiling.

His office worked me in immediately! His staff was courteous and professional. Dr. Berk was personable and attentive. He was easy to talk to, and he listened carefully to my concerns. I recommend him highly!!

Appointment went great. I arrived about 10 minutes before my actual appointment time. I was called & greeted by Norma, one of Dr Berks assistants right on time. Norma performed the set up for the elector cardiogram & completion of & blood pressure PX & etc. Soon Dr Berk & his assistant arrived to review results & check other vital features & reviewed results of blood work accomplished at Dr Kalisers office. Most impressed with the professionalism.

Dr. Berk relies heavily on his nurse who is fab. I didn’t get the time with Dr. Berk. He diagnosed my condition with little information. Absolutely not okay. I left feeling not listened to and not enough information. He was more worried about MY INSURANCE AND NOT HAVING ANY MORE TESTS SO MY INSURANCE THAT I FREAKING PAY FOR NOT HAVE TO TAKE A HIT. Now that is insane. I pay monthly for my insurance and if I feel I need another test to satisfy me, then he should do it. I was very unsure and displeased with his bedside manner. I am going for a second opinion and another doctor. ITS MY INSURANCE. To add, it was like okay you have aortic regurgitation. No worries take more blood pressure pills and we will see you in 6 months. Okay I have to go. It’s like lets wait and see when I can do your surgery like when I have a heart attack??? I am a fit 60 year old woman. He does not listen.,

Dr Berk has been my heart Dr for over 25 years. He is the best and so are his office staff. Highly recommend.

Dr. Berk has been my cardiologist for nearly 20 years. He and his staff have always provided exceptionally professional care, with sensitivity to my personal needs and preferences for how I am cared for. He has seen me through a heart valve repair surgery as well as ongoing check-ups. I appreciate that he prescribes the care that is needed, but does not require procedures and tests unless they are medically necessary.

Dr. Martin Berk is a wonderful, capable cardiologist. I credit him for expertly guiding me through the diagnosis, treatment, and final surgical decision for constrictive pericarditis, a rare disease affecting the pericardium. My condition worsened in 2012. I was failing fast. Dr. Berk humbly advised me and my wife that he wanted me to get an opinion from another renowned cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. That doctor confirmed exactly what Dr. Berk had diagnosed and recommended. The surgery in October 2013 was successful. There are many people in the process for whom I am thankful, but Dr. Berk is the maestro who saved my life.

Everyone was punctual, courteous and efficient. Dr. Berk, as well as his assistant and p.a., were responsive to my questions and very helpful.

I have confident in what DR Berk says about my health and what he recommends. Also, the fact that my primary Doctor Bareika took me personally to his office was a good recommendation.
