I am extremely happy with the care I received at Davis Eye Center.I went in for Cataract surgery yesterday and every single staff member made me feel that my care was important. I have never experienced an entire staff like this one.I highly recommend Davis Eye Center.

As 10 plus year patient with the optomotrists I never thought I would leave this review. But, my first and only interaction with Charles Davis was beyond awful. Notwithstanding his complete lack of bedside manner, he is rude, dismissive and carries around an ego more fragile than a Faberge egg. If you are a patient that believes that it is your right to get a second opinion, you should stay far away. If you are a patient who believes a doctor should be able to explain courses of treatment, again stay away. If you are patient that will have questions and expect answers from your doctor before he takes a knife to your eye, stay away.This is not just my opinion. His staff appear to walk on pins and needles behind his back. One even apologized for his obvious unprofessional and unethical behavior as she walked me out after being told, I am taking up too much of his time and I needed to get out! Fellow ophthalmologists, have listened to my case and have completely disagreed with his course of care and behavior.Somewhere between dousing himself with overpowering cologne, laying too long in a tanning bed and stroking his ego by telling his patients how great he is, he has forgotten what it means to be a doctor; that counseling and healing come before making money.

Im not sure what the issues were with the negative posts, but Ill say that my experience was nothing but stellar. Prior to my cataracts surgery on both eyes the weeks of 09.06.21 and again on 09.13.21, my last involvement with the Clinic was in 2006 when I had lens implants inserted to correct extreme near sightedness. I returned here due to the absolute success of my first experience. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, everything was fabulous. Kudos to the women at the counter and the prep nurses; kudos to the nurses in the pre-op room; Kudos to the folks in the OR. I didnt come here seeking bedside manner. I didnt come here for a touchy/feely experience. I came here because I knew that Dr. Davis was a professional and he did what I expected him to do. I have nothing but praise for the entire operation.

Dr. Davis and his staff are the best. I can see amazing now . Would recommend them to everyone. I cant thank them enough.

Worst experience. Three times visited the doctor and they had provided wrong prescription for contacts and glasses and agreed on third visit. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Totally it’s time waste.

Dr. Shaheen is a great Optometrist and very nice to people with disabilities. I wish davis eye center would take my unitedhealthcare community plan ohio medicaid so that I can continue seeing Dr. Shaheen as my eye doctor. So please consider taking my health insurance because there not a lot of eye places that have the eye Machine Equipment read your eyes and automatically figure out your prescription.

Never going back. I was a patient there for a few years, and I dealt with the rude staff because they took my insurance. Now that my insurance changed I will be going elsewhere. When I was there in 2018 I asked for a copy of my prescription so that I could get cheaper glasses online and they were very rude and didnt give me my full prescription info, I had to go back and request the full prescription. The glasses and frames they sell are extremely overpriced. I went in to have my overpriced glasses repaired and they yanked them out of my hand and said they will call in 2 weeks. They didnt even wait for me to put on my spare glasses before they yanked the glasses out of my hand. They never called I had to call them to get an update. An online eyeglass place called them for my prescription but didnt receive any correspondence back. So I called regarding my prescription today and was rudely told it was expired. Which is fine, I understand, but why just ignore another companies call or maybe call me and see if I want to make an appointment? Im done paying for rude staff and expensive frames!

Ive always had a great experience here. Ill never forget the feeling in middle school when I walk out of the building and saw the leaves on the trees for the first time.Throughout the years the staff at Davis has been amazing to me. This is why after much thought I got my Lasik done here.It was worth every cent. The operation was smooth and painless and they do an incredible job at keeping you calm. I have tremors and was worried this would impede my ability to get lasik but at the end of the day the operation went smooth and the only draw back is that I keep trying to adjust glasses on my face that are no longer there haha. Thank you to everyone at Davis!

I had my lasik procedure here on 12/18 and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Dr. Davis and his staff were so friendly and made me feel comfortable. No one is ever available to take your call when you attempt to pay your bill.

When I went in for my checkup, I arrived ten minutes early because I had new insurance and didnt want there to be any issues. It took them twenty minutes to get everything sorted with my insurance because Davis Eye Center had given me someone elses social security number at some point! Since I was then 10 minutes behind schedule they then wanted to reschedule me. Since I had arrived early and I was having some eye problems, I asked that they still fit me in, so they went ahead with my appointment.In the weeks leading up to my appointment, I was having an issue with one of my eyelids getting inflamed, itchy, save irritated. I had tried not using my contacts for several days in a row and switching to a new pair of contacts, but the problem continued. I tried to bring up this issue with the doctor, and he said, your eyes are just irritated because you wear your contacts too much. I tried explaining that if anything, my contact use had gone down, and this was more than just everyday irritation, but I was ignored and dismissed.For unrelated reasons, Dr. Bischoff recommended that I purchase a $15 heating pad from the eye center to stimulate the oil glands in my eyelids. I explained that I have multiple heating pads at home, and asked if any warm compress would do. He said no, most compresses wont hold a steady temperature for a full 15 minutes. I explained that my heating pads are electric and maintain a steady temperature for 2 hours at a time. He stammered and said well, this one would just be better. I cant imagine the commission on a $15 item is very high, so it was a little embarrassing to see him try so desperately to sell me an unnecessary product. I made it clear I would not be purchasing the heating pad that day, but when I went to pay my copay, they still tried to charge me for one.In the weeks following my appointment, I followed the doctors advice - I used a warm compress once a day and gave my eyes frequent breaks from my contacts. Surprise surprise, less than two weeks later, I woke up with an eye infection, no doubt caused by the eyelid infection that was ignored by Davis Eye Center. Dr. Bischoff has always been rude and condescending, but I had put up with it because its a pain to find a new doctor, but after this experience I will not be returning to Davis Eye Center. Its one thing to talk down to your patients all the time and treat them as an inconvenience; its another thing to ignore and dismiss symptoms that end up putting your patient in more danger.

Dr Davis is a kind physician who provides superior eye care to his patients. His staff is welcoming and very knowledgeable as well. I would highly recommend this eye center to anyone looking for regular eye care or a surgical procedure.

What can I say besides my lasik eye surgery and experience was nothing less than exceptional. From the time I called to schedule my first appointment to my follow up appointment after lasik. Let me first say I wore contacts since I was 14 years old and finally got lasik at age 37. I waited so long because I was scared. I envisioned the worst images of a Dr sitting in front of me with a sharp object coming towards my eyeball. It was nothing like that! Pam and Andrea were so calming and amazing at explaining the process to me to prep me for my appointment and then to prep me the day of surgery. Something about their voices put me at ease instantly. Dr. Davis is so laid back and also put me at ease instantly. I joke with friends that I would have paid triple or more what I paid because of the feelings they left me with. I took years of being scared and put them aside for one day and now I have potentially 50 plus years of being contacts and glasses free! If you are someone who has put this off out of fear or you are contemplating where to go for the best service and outcome.. look no further. You wont regret your decision. I sure dont! I went to Davis eye clinic, I opted for the cataract surgery and implant lens I bought the $4,000 blends was next to the best one you could buy they told me all I would need is reading glasses from then on at the completion of the surgery in a month or two later they sold me a pair of prescription glasses so I could see out further and read as well so I have the same thing as problem that I had when I, went there except from im$4,000 less money.Since I posted this review Dr. Davis has contacted me and made a very sincere effort to correct my vision, including doing another surgery on my left eye. I am seeing much better and understand my vision will continue to improve over the next several months. They continue to reach out to me periodically checking on my progress. I appreciate the effort they have made to correct the issue.

Dr. Davis was hands down outstanding!!! I was SO nervous to have LASIK but he reassured me that I was in good hands. His calm demeanor made me relaxed as much as I could be at the time. He had a very relaxing atmosphere. His staff was both professional and comforting. I’m so thankful for the experience provided! The procedure lasted less than fifteen minutes. My vision went from being blind since 8th grade, to having 20/20 Vision. For the first time, I can see leaves on a tree and ants on the ground. The gift of sight is truly amazing.Thank you again Davis Eye Center for the most priceless gift! The gift of sight!

Super great full service from these eye experts.They have the biggest selection of eyewear and even specialty sunglasses I have ever seen. (With my good vision)I’m in here getting my replacement lenses that got scratched. (My replacements were free within two years). I don’t know if that is the case for all their eyeglasses but I’m happy!It’s a big place and al about your eye needs.Thanks!!

I have been going here since a very young age. Dr. Shaheen is wonderful and always a pleasure to see!!! The reason I have given four stars instead of five, is because sometimes the receptionists and eye exam assistants do not always have a positive demeanor. However, they have just hired a new woman and she is wonderful! I wish I remembered her first name! She made the entire exam a quick and pleasant experience while also making it feel not rushed!Thank you👍🏼

Really disappointed that this business not only allows their staff to not wear their masks properly (legit FALLING OFF) their faces and under their noses, but the woman who I checked out with had a Trump 2020 mask on. Really? As a female minority that was really appalling and unprofessional. I am definitely not going to schedule a follow up or my annual eye care with this practice.RESPONDING TO THE BELOW COMMENT:It is LAUGHABLE that you are telling me I am making a poor decision for my health when your practice wont even follow the states mandate. Unbelievable. One of your PRIMARY DOCTORS couldnt even be bothered to put his face mask over his nose. How selfish your doctors and staff are. I will be reporting your company directly to the health department immediately.

After a huge snafu with my son’s contacts, Dr. Shaheen personally contacted me with an appropriate solution. I cannot compliment him enough for taking charge of this situation. My family and I have been patients for years and his commitment and loyalty to upholding high standards and treating people with integrity and respect will keep my business for years to come.

My husband utilized Davis Eye Center for his surgery three years ago. His vision is excellent and he couldn’t be more pleased with the results.He continues to use the practice for his yearly exam even though it is a 40 minute drive. Highly recommend Dr. Charles Davis.

The sales pitch leading up to the day of the surgery was pretty good. However I have some serious concerns about Dr. Davis now and how he views his patients. Prior to me going into the operating room I had to sit in a small area and wait with some eyedrops in. As the nurse was taking me from that room into the operating room I heard the doctor speaking to a young woman who had stopped in and he clearly knew. She said she wanted to talk to him about some stuff and wanted to know if you had some time. His response was ‘who’s name is on the marquee out front?’ Then they walked off together. I got settled in the operating room and laid down on the table where the nurses gave me numbing eyedrops. I waited there on that table for so long the nurses actually left the room to look for the doctor but I knew what he was doing, chatting with that young lady instead of performing my procedure in the allotted timeframe that he told me. One of the nurses came back in and said he was on his way and that she was going to numb me again which she did. Then we waited again for him to arrive. When he finally did come in he didn’t apologize for making me wait he just immediately got into the procedure. I was told that I would feel pressure during the procedure but no pain and that was not the case as it was very painful. I believe that because he was chatting so long with the young lady that the numbing eyedrops were not working as well by the time he came in. I told him that it was hurting and he became stern with me and told me to stop moving. I also told him that when he uncovered my left eye to do the procedure that the light was incredibly bright and I needed a moment for my eyes to adjust. He told me I didn’t need to have that time and then continued on with the procedure. When he was done he didn’t even speak to me he just left the room and I’ve never seen him since. The next day I want to a follow up with his sidekick doctor and not once did he ask me how the procedure went. I had another follow-up scheduled for three weeks later which the office canceled on me and I’ve never gone back. Thinking about having to see that guy again makes my stomach churn. Looking back I knew that there had been bad reviews on him but I also had seen that he did good work so I figured his bedside manner couldn’t be that bad but I was wrong. He had so many photos of his family throughout that office it was actually uncomfortable, way over the top. He actually includes a coupon for the photographer that does his family photos in the info folder you get with your surgery. What is the deal with that? I am also aware that the negative reviews I saw in the beginning of the year are no longer available online. I found out that it’s the doctor that has been fighting to have those bad reviews removed. I’m hoping this one will stick because it’s a true story and a true review. Please do not use this practice.

I had a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They were very informative and helped me to make the best decisions as to my vision correction.

Very friendly doctors. I was very impressed with the Dr. I saw. Extremely thorough exam. The staff did a great job with my 6 year old daughter as well. They offer a lot of designer frames but have some cheaper ones too.

I was looking forward to getting my cataract out as my vision was becoming concerning. I wish I would have never done it. I felt like a herd of cattle the morning of the surgery-moved in and out. I was not told what to expect in the way of side effects, so when I took my eye patch of later in the day and had flashing, I was worried. I had to go back that day and was still not given any definite answers as to why this was happening. Long story short, I found Dr. Davis to be arrogant and rude. The last comment he made to me (after bragging about the 30,000 surgeries he has done) was you can see fine--my job is done here BTW I still have flashing in bright lights and up close and its been 4.5 months.

Went in to have a pair of prescription sunglasses repaired. I will say this is by far the nicest facility Ive been in at least in the eye care industry. They put a new nose pad on free of charge and I got my glasses back in about 15 minutes. I would look into them if you need any work done.

I just want to give a huge thank you to Dr. Davis and his entire staff at the Davis Eye Center! I had LASIK performed by Dr. Davis and I couldnt be happier. Everything about the experience was great and I am so happy with my vision.I always thought I could see pretty well with contacts/glasses, but I couldnt have been more wrong. My new vision is absolutely fantastic!I would highly recommend Dr. Davis at the Davis Eye Center to anyone thinking about getting LASIK.

I cant say enough wonderful things about The Davis Eye Clinic. The staff is amazing and Dr Davis is remarkable with his laid back professional demeanor that puts you completely at ease. Im glad we chose Davis Eye Clinic for my husbands cataract surgery.

The eye doctors are fine. The optical department is terrible. It took me over TWO MONTHS to get my glasses, from check up to final pick up. The lenses took forever, and were not made correctly, so I had to go back again, and again they werent right. (Phone calls to check on the status of my lenses were usually handled very rudely, with long waits on hold only to be told they werent ready because of my lab, and at least once I was hung up on when I asked to have my follow up appointment with doctor rescheduled to after I had my glasses; they would not even apologize at any point for any of this). When I finally got my correct Rx, correctly shaped for my frames, they still werent assembled properly and I had to ask for the screws to be tightened; instead they used super glue to hold a screw in place. At this point I just give up and will never return. There are plenty of optometrists and opticians out there, why put up with rudeness.

You could say that a good eye exam is dime a dozen. But Ive never experienced expertise like I have at Davis Eye Center. The office is nice and always kept clean. The staff is incredibly knowledgable from eye health to glasses fitting. The selection of eyewear is top notch (Ive bought three frames from here and everyone always comments how neat they are!). But most of all, the biggest reason for my 5 star rating goes back to the level of expertise held by the people who work here. If I ever have questions about eye health, Dr. Davis knows the answer. Doesnt matter how obscure or rare. He has a passion for health thats unmatched to any doctor Ive ever had the pleasure of seeing.To the whole staff, keep up the great work! Would recommend to anyone and will be back again and again.

My husband used Dr Davis and his team almost 15 years ago For Lasik surgery and Our family still goes to the office today! From glasses, contacts, eye injury or issues I definitely recommend this office they have everything we need in one location!

Absolutely blow away by my experience with Davis Eye Center and Dr. Davis. I got LASIK surgery done this past Friday and am seeing 20/15 just 3 days later. Not only was the staff incredible friendly and helpful, but they were extremely efficient. They all knew what they needed to do and got me in and out without a bunch of waiting around.Dr. Davis is a world class surgeon. During the 5-6 minute LASIK procedure he talked me through everything and was very calming. The procedure had absolutely no pain or discomfort. I walked out of the operating room and could immediately read the nurses name tags from across the room.After a 2-3 hour nap that afternoon I woke up and could see very clearly with a bit of cloudiness which I was told was normal. Each of the last two mornings I have woke up with even clearer vision. The only side effect I am noticing is dry eyes which is a normal side effect of LASIK.Overall I cannot say enough about Dr. Davis and the entire staff at Davis Eye Center. My experience there was nothing short of incredible!

The Davis Eye Center is fantastic! Most of my family has gone to Dr. Bischof for glasses and contacts for 20+ years. Hes a wonderful doctor and great guy.So when I decided to take the plunge and get LASIK I didnt even look anywhere else. Dr. Davis was terrific, the whole procedure was painless, and at my one month checkup they said my vision is now better than 20/20. The LASIK consultation is free and they have reasonable financing options.One nice thing that I didnt expect was that while I was waiting in the lobby on the day of the procedure the people scheduled before me would walk out right past me. Every single one of them without exception was wearing the same pair of sunglasses and grinning like it was Christmas morning. I found that reassuring.I cant recommend this place enough. If youre reading this review you should probably call them right now.

I have used the Davis Eye Center for my eye care and the eye care of my family for years. We really appreciate the professionalism and excellent service they provide! The Doctors are amazing and really help you find the sight improvement that is right for you. The staff in the contact lense department are so helpful and patient. The eye glass purchase department has a tremendous selection for every age, and the staff really help you walk out happy. Diane and Terri are really special people! Also the Davis Eye Center is very helpful accomodating college kids with very little time in town. All together this is exellent service!!!

They canceled my appointment three times and then when I got there they had scheduled the wrong appointment. I filled out all of the paperwork and returned it a month in advance of the first scheduled appointment. They had me redo my paperwork upon arriving only to find my first copy after I was done. I was told that I made the mistake since they dont look at the paperwork until the time you come in for the appointment. Why would you have paper work sent out and returned if youre not going to read it? I would highly recommend using a different eye clinic. Nice looking place but the receptionists are not worth dealing with. Post problems others confirmed afterwards that they were having problems as well and were in the process of changing clinics.
