Jacob was so courteous and helpful scheduling my appointment. I received a text I could refer to that had the name of my massage therapist and time and date of my appointment.The place was easy to find and very relaxing and almost ethereal.Keira did such a wonderful job with my deep tissue massage! I was so relaxed and the back pain Id come in with vanished before I left.Im definitely going back!

Gave me what I wanted, and offered me small suggestions, which were great! The owner Andrea, was very friendly. The facility was clean and comfortable. I felt very safe.

I have been going to Avanti salon for about a year now. Rosie is typically my stylist but today, I had Andrea (the owner of the salon). I appreciated her communication with me so that she could make sure she highlighted my hair exactly how I wanted.Additionally, the salon is and always has been very clean which made me feel comfortable scheduling my appointment even during COVID19.Finally, they use Avanti products, which are cruelty free!!!Highly recommend!

Are they still in business at this location? I tried calling a few weeks ago and no one ever answered. I even went there because it said they were open online but then they had a “closed” sign up. The first time I called someone did call me back but it was 4 days later-not helpful. I tried calling again yesterday a few different times but no answer and no call back. They have good reviews but seem unprofessional in the sense that they don’t get back to you. I hope this changes for the future!

I have been going to Andrea since before she came to Avanti. Now that Andrea is at Avanti, it is even more convenient. The salon is in a perfect location—right off Rakow and 31. Even during COVID, everything it takes to be careful has been thought of. It has every service you might need too! Andrea does my hair and it is better than expected-every time. She understands curly hair AND my desire for straight hair. Andrea is willing to try new things that I suggest or she does. I always get compliments on my hair color, cut, and style. I also love that Andrea and I have a great time every other month because we chat and laugh. I would highly recommend going to Avanti Salon and Spa.

Got a hot stone massage. This was my first experience and Kiera was a delight and made me feel very comfortable. It shows how much she cares for the practice and takes pride in her work. She was even waiting with a cup of water for me at the end. The room was soothing and relaxing. The table was even HEATED!!! Felt so relaxed throughout.

Always have a great experience at Avanti! Rosie is the best at asking questions at the beginning and throughout the appointment to make sure that you are getting the cut you want.

Great and friendly staff. The stylist Cara always does a perfect job cutting my hair! Place is great for mens cuts and not just the ladies. Get a great scalp rub while getting shampooed then a hand massage at the end. Its worth the few extra dollars!! Never will go anywhere else!

A very disappointing experience. I used a Groupon for $35 for a mani/pedi. The next day I left for a two-week vacation. By the second day of my trip the nail polish on my fingers had completely peeled off. In the next few days there was a chip on the polish on one of my toes. I called as soon as I returned to say how dissatisfied I was. I spoke with the manager who said nothing at first. She asked if I had any pictures which I hadnt taken but her response was not at all apologetic but rather rude. At one point she said she didnt want to talk about it because we were going over the same thing. She did offer another mani/pedi but had to be used in one month but not to call until the first of April since theyre not taking appointments. If she had handled this more professionally I would not be writing this negative review.

I have been searching for the right stylist for the 5 years I have been living in Crystal Lake...well I finally found my forever stylist in Kristine, shes not only a stylist but instantly feels like a friend from day one in the chair. My hair looks amazing thanks to Kristine and stays looking amazing due to the great Aveda products. You will be so happy youve walked into Avanti and will love the hand massage during your shampoo.

I love this salon! I have been getting my hair colored and cut with Kristine, the owner, for over 6 years and she is amazing! She also cuts my 11 year old sons hair. The staff here is so professional and friendly. Plus you can never go wrong with Aveda products. I highly recommend this salon to everyone!!

Kristine has been doing my hair for over 8 years. I drive over 30 minutes to the salon for the excellent services she provides. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair needs. When I first noticed hair loss, it was a challenge to find professional who can make your haircut look sharp despite having bald spots on my had. Iryna does excellent job every time, so shes my only trusted hairstylist. Will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Went in for a trim and got a horrible nightmare pixie cut. The sides were completely uneven and the back was like a crew cut that I didnt wanted. I had shown her a picture and it was NOTHING like it. The owner/ manager was a very rude and threating. Beware if you go there!!!! We will be seeing her in court.
