I was very pleased with the organization of refinancing my auto loan. Kasie Landing was very polite and professional in the whole matter. She was organized and helped make the process very simple and convenient. I was not put out at any time with the whole process. She worked with my schedule and got things done in a timely fashion on her end. I was extremely happy with the rate and conditions of the loan. I will think of Tech CU for all my future accounts and business dealings. Thank you for the excellent service.

Tech CU was down for 3 days for computer upgrades. I noticed a problem with my account, as a result of the down time. I called and spoke with Loren at the contact center in Crown Point. She resolved the problem in a professional and expedited way. And did this while the system was still down. Much appreciated Loren!

I just wanted to say that setting up autopay with Tech Credit Union from my personal account was a breeze. I spoke with Miss Lisa Webster and she sent me in the right direction. I’ll definitely use Tech Credit Union again in the future if they so choose to take me on for future loans. Appreciate the help!! Thank you!!

Our banker, Colleen Costello at the TCU Valparaiso Branch, is an angel. She did all the work to get us a new home equity loan and right before it was all finished, she realized that we could save a lot of money by getting a mortgage instead. So she forfeited all her work and referred us to a mortgage company that saved us TONS of money and it worked out beautifully. What banker does that??!! Well, our wonderful banker, that’s who! She told us that she just wanted the best for us. WOW!! You would never hear those words from a traditional bank, I can tell you that for sure. We are so happy that we switched to Tech Credit Union and found Colleen. We should have done it years ago.Thank you for all you do and we love being part of the TCU family.

When my husband died I was overwhelmed with all the financial details that needed changing. It was necessary to change my actual account! All the people I spoke with and dealt with personally at Tech were sympathetic, yet genuinely interested in helping me correctly complete everything required. Even with Covid restrictions, I was able to make appointments with real people, and although I had to stay in the lobby, they were concerned enough to provide seating for me as my particular transactions took an extended amount of time. Thank you all.

Went to Lowell branch for a car loan refinance. Had a 10:00am appointment, I was shown to a small office. Loan person appeared, no smile, no greeting, no acknowledgement of my presence. It was a small auto refinance loan. She asked some questions muffled by a mask behind safety glass barely audible. I have NO outstanding debt and an incredibly high credit score, the approval process was unbelievably lengthy and more time consuming than when I had applied for a loan at a mortgage company. Finally after TWO HOURS the process was completed with NO explanation of monthly payments or total finance charge. No “thank you for choosing Tech” or anything. I’ve had several car loans in my adult life and never have had an experience like this. I can not, or will not ever recommend Tech to anyone.

Decent credit union. Some typical hiccups with policies. Not the best ever, Definitely not the worst place either. 3.5 star. I rounded up even though they know me and still run into delays every now and then. Prefer Merrillville location, friendly staff.

Small town regional bank, nice staff, and lousy CD rates (shock of shocks) Its more like the small town banks you grew up with, and that can be a good thing. If you go there enough, the tellers get to know you, and its kind of an event to go in. Great people. Not one of your big time banks. If youre into bank robbing, choose a bigger place. Theyll have more money. If youre into being treated like a person by people who care, this place is made for you.

I have been with this bank for over 20 years.... I have had MANY issues I chose to over look over the years. However, I went out of town this week and was using my bank card for a week before it started declining charges at 1pm on a Saturday. Of course they were closed when I noticed and I am out of luck now. I dont like credit cards since I expect my money to be available and my bank to be dependable. Well Tech isnt but hopefully my new one will be.

Today I spent 5 hours on the phone with Tech Credit Union to get back access to my 89 year old mothers bank account online. Even though my mother personally told Tech to talk to me and give me online access to help her with her account, they refused. The VP of IT Lora Sturbridge denied the request and then I asked to talk to the branch manager and he said the VP of IT sets the rules for the online banking, the top officer of the branch does not. This is crazy!!! If you ever had to be responsible for an elderly parent, you know this is unacceptable.Dont do business with this bank. Very unprofessional and they dont care about their customers. Save the aggravation and do business with a real bank or credit union.

Showed up at 12:15 on a Saturday. Website and doors say drive through and lobby are open until 12:30. There was nobody there and all of the doors were locked... sooo do you guys close whenever you feel like it or?? Was excited about this branch opening but I’ll probably keep going to my other location because this was a pretty bad first impression.

I went to apply for auto loan and was happy at first when they handed over the pre-approval letter. Next day I do not know what happened but I was told that my pre-approval has been canceled. If my credit score and profile was not strong enough then why would you even pre-approve at first. I had a tough time. Not happy.

So it seems if you use the service center to take out Money and the teller does not have a roll of quarters you have to fill out another services center form to give them $10.00 to get a roll of quarters from another teller. Only experienced that at this facilitys service center as opposed to others. Smh strange.

When we originally got our loan they required opening a savings account with them and deposit 50.00 dollars in it. They then began charging 1 dollar every time I paid by check through the mail. They wanted me to pay online. They charged a dollar a payment until the 50 dollars was gone. Next , due to their screw up they didnt think I had homeowners insurance. They sent me a notice that they were going to buy insurance because they didnt think I had any. I do have insurance but they chose just to threaten me rather than check into it. So , guess Ill just pay them off and tell everyone I know my story. They dont deserve one star !

Extremely rude individuals working there. They talk to you like you are ignorant and a hassle to help. Had a bad first time experience and it keeps getting worse. Wish I would have gone somewhere else. Customer service is terrible. Would not recommend to family or friends.
