It was quiet and nice place to walk! Not far from me and with the lake views and sounds. Not sure how itll be when open, but well definitely be back

Overall this is a good day use park for fishing, cycling, kayaking, jogging, or just having a picnic by Benbrook lake. They have the gate open for access to the boat ramp and the point with a paved access road that connects those two areas. The camping area is still closed to the public (presumably due to a lack of maintenance and high water conditions on the lake). I enjoyed a short biking excursion on the paved access road with the moderate hills providing decent exercise.Please note that the entrance gate office is currently closed but the the main gate to the boat ramp and the fishing point is open. This means that access to the lake is at your own risk and you should be responsible for your own actions. Please take all your trash with you when you leave. Be considerate.I hope the Army Corps of Engineers continue to allow the public to access this part of the lake for day use. It would be nice if they opened all the areas for cycling, jogging, and walking. Perhaps arrangements could be made with a mountain biking organization to put in a series of mountain bike trails in this area.

Beautiful areas, great tables with shade, but those bathroom facilities need a major bleach and power wash treatment. The are beyond normal cleaning, totally disgusting.

Nice mowed paths, clean drinking water from the dispensers in campsites, multiple boat ramps, bathrooms and shower houses are clean. Big camp sites and mature hardwood trees everywhere.
