Highly recommended. My dad has struggled with this disease (Alzheimers) for a while now. I moved to Texas -- because dad wanted to go back home. I was looking for a place in the country that felt like home to him. I found Anchor Way about 15 minutes from my place in Ft. Worth. The care has been exceptional.Thank you to Shelita, the owner who cares so much for others. Her story stems from her grandmother (it is on her website) and why she chooses to do this because of a love for others in this situation. Extremely clean, small (a key for Alzheimers disease) and she has a caring/empathetic staff who talk to residents as if they are a part of their own family. They call my dad Pop, just like I do.They also have independent apartments who are geared for those needing a great apartment with the benefits of a caring staff -- when/if needed down the road. *********Highly Recommended*******

Anchor Way is located on a gorgeous campus. The site is always well manicured and inviting. The owner is nurturing and genuine, often spending time WITH the residents, rather than being a distant administrator. The facility and its amenities are frequently being updated for safety, comfort as well as a pleasing decor. In addition, the flexibility for residents to have as much or as little assistance as they need, is appealing for a variety of life stages. Definitely recommend!

Anchor Way Senior Care is one of the best Ive ever been to. The facility is very nice and clean. !! The staff is warm and friendly and they seem to cater to their patients. I love how Shelita ( the owner) love on the patients there. You can tell she really love what she do. And the patients love her!! I would definitely take my parents there. GREAT JOB ANCHOR WAY!!!

I am so glad that I found this place. It is 100% better than where my was before. These people are so kind and sweet to my mom. I can not thank them enough with the turn around they have made with my mom. When she first got there they told me they didnt know how long my mom was going to make it. She is doing great now. Thank you so much for being there for both of us.

As a care facility its not bad, they are clean and follow protocols for the most part. As a working environment they are terrible, Ive had to work doubles back to back when I was there and for over 12 residents they only had 5 actual workers, and the owners were hardly ever there to help. One girl quit last minute and I had to work a double 3 days in a row, I had only worked there for over 2 weeks and they left me alone one night, to change and and put residents to bed on my own. I had showed up to every shift on time and one day I asked for a day off a few days in advance, I explained that I had to because my sister was in the hospital and I had to go see her. But I was told no and that next time I can. I ended up not getting paid for over 4 weeks because something happened with payroll? Or at least thats what they said. Again facility itself is clean and they have a good schedule but for a place of work and only $8.00 an hr? Yeah NO.

Staff is friendly, caring, and responsible. The actual building itself is beautiful, safe and clean. The boss is such a loving and wonderful person. No doubt that this is the place for a loved one.

---------------------Update-----------------My dad passed today in his sleep due to old age and Alzheimers. The care here was the most EXCEPTIONAL out of all of the facilities my dad was in prior. Anchor Way is the best Assisted Living in the country (backs up to a horse farm for amazing views) with a beautiful staff and a heart unlike anywhere else. I only regret not finding them sooner). Prior care was at Legacy and Bethesda -- Anchor Way was a 6 star. Zero issues or complaints from anyone -- including the state.***********************************************Beautiful location and the staff is most warm and welcoming. I have had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Woods and look forward to moving my father in January. Im grateful to see there are wonderful places available for Alzheimers disease.
