This is the Best KOA from Coast to Coast (CA to NC)! This very friendly family team is Amazing! Extremely accommodating and helpful from the first phone call to driving off after our stay! Beautiful, clean, well kept grounds/facilities! They offer everything you can need during your trip! Yummy Ice Cream! Propane filling station! My family will definitely be back to stay every time we are in Tennessee!! Thank you for making our stay comfortable and our moving process a little bit more at ease!

Nice KOA. I would like to see them do a little more upkeep in the cabin. The A/C / heater works but it has to work for it. And a switch to turn off the porch light would be great. The light shining thru the blinds (that are needing attention also), kept me up for a while. This all said, I would still go back. Was very quiet once the kids went to bed. Had a visit from the local wild life and the rest of the campground was clean. Happened to be on the motorcycle staying in the cabin this time but I also have a 38 travel trailer and camp once a month. I would recommend this KOA and ill be back in some way to stay again.

Absolutely one of the BEST KOA’s we’ve been to. Here for a week. We stayed up front in #22, pull thru, full hook ups. Easy to maneuver our 43 ft Class A Coach. Grounds are clean with cement pads, large grassy yards with a fire pit & picnic table. The back section is gravel & has some cabins. Staff is very friendly and the store has 8 flavors of delicious ice cream.Definitely would stay again.

We visited during August, 2021 longest garage sales. The area is extremely busy with lots of areas set up. The campground was very clean peaceful setting and the people that work there were totally awesome. There is ice cream set up in the general store along with a coffee bar. Everything is reasonably priced.I would highly recommend this campground it is a family-oriented campground.

This place is fantastic. If you havent been by recently you absolutely must visit. You can see the new owners working constantly to improve every square inch of their property. My family and I have stayed here for extended stays twice in the past six months and we will be returning for sure. Some of the sites will make you feel like your in the back yard of your dreams with Rock fire places (not fire pits) and flagstone patios. Others offer gorgeous views. Still others are great for a more natural feel. Of course if you are just stopping for the night they will be happy to accommodate. The owners/managers are great people, always working to make sure your stay is perfect. They have all the necessities - including fresh ice cream from the local Mayfield Creamery and a cute little coffee bar. The store is well stocked and they will fill your propane tank. They even managed to get a few wild bunnies to hang out and charm you while you roast your marshmallows.

The main store, pool, and bathrooms are very well maintained, clean, and top notch. The campground rabbits were a nice touch - we had a big fat brown rabbit hang out around our campsite. The only down side for us tent campers, there is no level ground - very hard to find a place to pitch a tent.

Showed up late like Ive done before for other KOAs. Normally, not a problem, but this one was weird.Registration desk asks that you check online for the price. Online says its past the cutoff and to call the registration desk (closed - goes to voicemail).(Oh well, their prices cant be unreasonable for a tent.) However, none of their tent sites can be accessed. Picnic tables are in the gravel road blocking off part of the campground, where the tent spots are supposed to be.Sure, I could walk over to the grass designated for tents, but Im not going to leave my car (and valuables) on the other side of the campground.Unless they expect me to shell out more $$$ to stay in an RV site I dont need, (for a price that isnt labeled!), theres no way around it. Im very surprised since my past experiences with KOA were always decent or great, and always straightforward for late night registration.

The staff at this KOA is amazing! We had an emergency with my daddy’s passing and needed a place to meet with our family. Since we are all from about of state, we asked our hosts to allow us to use the rec room for a meeting place. Nice looking park about 3 miles off I-40 from exit 329. Staff friendly and lead you to your site. Tight maneuvering for large rigs towing. Cars were parked in or near the already narrow, curvy interior roads. Staff had to ask the people behind us to move their vehicle so we could get into our site. We had a pull thru, concrete site which is up front. The site is narrow and our toad ended up being mostly in the grass not on the concrete. As good as our site (33) looked, it was terribly unlevel – side to side and hanging down in the back. We were not able to get level front to back so we needed handrails inside to keep from running to the back! We would have asked to be moved but we didn’t see any pull thru site that looked any better as they are terraced. The sites closest to the road are mostly likely the most level but we didn’t think we’d be able to make the turn to get out of the site. Decent spacing between sites with grass. No trees for shade. Verizon 5g 3 bars. Satellite would not be a problem. Internet did not work (surprise, surprise). Very noisy sandwiched between I-40 and 70 constant sounds of tractor trailers, dump trucks and souped up vehicles. Call for directions. Google maps takes you the wrong way and that is the link from their website.

It was a beautiful friendly place to stay !!! We came to visit family in our newly purchased camper . We were going to leave out and decided to stay an extra day, then our smallest child of 3yrs got a really bad infection in her eye the day we planned to head home. So my husband called to book one more day and explained that I was taking our little girl to the hospital again as her eye worsened and the kindest sweetest phone call came after I got back to the campground with her and it was the KOA office attendant checking on our little girl to make sure that she was okay!! ( My heart melted with such gratitude that they cared enough to make that phonecall!!) Id recommend to any family wanting to get away and enjoy peaceful time together with beautiful scenery!

I spent the night here in mid August. I had a tent spot underneath the apple trees, next to the dog park. The trees were bearing fruit, and I had my pick of whatever fell. The dog park is a very cool addition, and it has some obstacles for the pups. The fish pond was very peaceful, and Im pretty sure people have been feeding the fish. As soon as you walk out on the dock, the fish will school underneath you. The walking path on the backside of the property is wonderful at night- Lightning bugs everywhere! There is some noise from the interstate, but with all of the amazing insect noise at night, its hardly noticeable. The staff was so very kind to me, and they truly made me feel welcomed, and like I was family. I did not utilize the game room, but I checked it out and that has some good activities in there. The check-in office has a lot of food and odds and ends in case you forget something. The shower and rest rooms were very clean! This is a fantastic KOA, and I would love to go back someday.

Do not reserve the spot with the pervilian over your camper. Booked in July for September ( Labor Day weekend) and two days before was told they were moving me because I had a pop up camper that didnt need septic. After they told me this I let it sink in a little then called them back and said i made this reservation in July she said she would move me back. When I got their they had us follow them to spot 35 it was on the very end next to the road. It was raining and their were alot of campers coming in so we setup in that spot. I did talk to one of the owners and told them we wont be back. We have camped here before. We didnt have a firepit so he did get us one and give us some wood. Its just npt right to move someone. Also the spot we wanted only had someone in it for 12 hour they never used the septic and their camper was smaller and would have fit better were they put us. We stayed 3 night. Also they will close the gameroom when ever they want to.

Review №89

Beautiful, but no thank you.We love staying at KOAs. This one’s beautiful amenities hide problems. We checked in late and the fire pit was FULL of dirty disposal masks and take out food. This was my biggest issue. Especially during COVID we should not be cleaning up other peoples masks and food waste. It’s disgusting under normal circumstances, under these it’s just not safe practices. I’m glad it was raining or I would not have just been disgusted, but infuriated because we actually use the fire pits nightly.FYI: If you’re traveling via RV because of covid stay away. No one wears masks in the office. When I asked them to not walk closer to me because they weren’t wearing masks the guy ignored me (I opened the door of the office to try and talk to them through the open door). Everyone is entitled to their opinions about how to stay safe during covid, but for a business to not respect the wishes of a patron is not cool at all. Also to note (so you know to bring rain boots), it was raining and the paved area you park on made it so that I had to put on my snow boots to get my hookups because there was a few inches of standing water because the grass had eroded out and not been replaced causing a huge puddle right where you access any storage. Nothing major, but worth noting so you come prepared.
