I would give this company zero stars if I could. Customer service and billing fraud. Please record and notate every conversation you have with this company. They will deny conversation with them, deny any resolutions they make but will keep billing you for product their customer service reps make in correctly. Upper management will state they have resolved the issue only to later defraud the customer by incorrectly notating your account. This company should be called CRAPPRA....

I’ve been having an ongoing problem with Apria not billing my secondary insurance. I’ve called several times to no avail. I’ve asked to receive, electronically if necessary, account info when I’m being billed for something so I can understand what I’m paying for. I never receive any info from them. I just tried twice on the phone and got cut off. What am I supposed to do?

If there is anyway to avoid this company, you should. They only contact you to collect money or sell you items. Their fees seem to keep increasing. When I ask if I can have help and options for masks because of COVID they will either get back to me (which they do not) or say they cant help do to COVID. Dont they realize that everything is open in the State of CT. They offered to fit me for a mask virtually because on June 25th of 2021 they still have no intention of seeing patients. When I asked how that would work since I didnt have any masks to try and there would be no one to see if it fit properly, they repeated the line Due to COVID19, we are not seeing people in person and we do not know when this will resume.

This is a horrible company with a terrible customer service. They operate like snake oil salesmen. They do not provide service that they supposed to but they charge you twice as much as everyone else does. This company should not be in healthcare period! They are clueless yet they are overpriced.

This review is during covid 19 at the Cromwell office. These people did everything in their power to get me a new machine as quickly as possible. They moved mountains, also known as insurance companies, and got me a machine on the same day. Great personalities, empathetic and caring, genuinely looking to help no matter what. Thank you all.

This is a horrible, predatory company. Avoid them at all costs. I got a CPAP machine from them and made all the payments to pay it off every month on time, every time. The salesman I spoke to years ago assured me that the unit would be mine to keep after all the payments were made. My account on their payment page says I have ZERO balance. Today they sent someone to my house to pick up the machine THAT I OWN. I changed insurance providers and found out they were billing them for supplies THEY NEVER SENT. When that got rejected they started calling me every day sometimes twice a day. When I finally spoke to them they said they needed my new insurance information. I told them that I have zero balance and would not be getting supplies from them so no, Im not giving you the information. I asked that they stop calling me and to remove me from their call list. They continued robo-calling every other day. Now they are physically knocking on my door.

The chamber on my ResMed had a leak so I was not getting the proper sleep and rest I needed during a very difficult time-my dad has cancer. After spending hours searching for a place that could replace this piece today this wonderful employee by the name of Sheena in the Cromwell location was , I believe heaven sent! Thank you so much . Amazing customer service and honestly I could not leave without giving her a hug. I hope I spelled her name right.

One of the worst suppliers out there. They charged me ~20 times for the same device which was originally supposed to be for a 6 month payment plan according to the insurance agreement. I feel bad for some of the nice call center representatives. Their management is trash!

This is honestly the WORST company I have ever dealt with. HORRIBLE. I should have listened to all the reviews. I have to call them at least once a week for my balance and the amount on my account online is wrong. 2 weeks ago I called and they told me I owed $7. All of a sudden I owe $330.00 out of nowhere. They told me that the insurance denied a claim. My insurance stated they never received a claim. When you call you cant get anyone in America. I am giving 2 stars because of a representative Kasey who is currently taking care of the issues Im having. I wish I would have had her the whole time instead of dealing with out of country call centers! I will update my review once I see what happens the next following months I am with Apria.

UPDATE A YR LATER... THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO CHARGE ME AND I HAVENT EVEN DEALT WITH THEM IN OVER A YEAR.do NOT USE THIS PLACE! I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE THEM A CHANCE BUT SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS.. THEY ARE ALL RIGHT.. IM IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO LEAVE. I PAID MY TEN MONTHS FOR RENTAL AND THEY TOLD ME I WAS DONE PAYING. IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE SINCE THE DAY I STARTED. Second edit- ultimately I’m increasing this by one star because I ended up getting the product my dr prescribed. But over all, the experience was terrible. I spent about 5 hours on the phone over the course of 2 weeks advocating for myself to get this corrected.Edit- in response to Apria’s response. Someone reached out and left a message with their extension. I called twice and was disconnected both times. I don’t know anyone who has time for this run around. The General Manager has assured me they are now obtaining the correct device for me. I hope that is truly the resolution in the end in which case I will update.I spoke with with a few kind representatives at the office including Brandy. However ultimately I was lied to multiple times. They were a vender used my my insurance company to provide a product. They didn’t carry the product my Dr requested and told me they were sending me something comparable. Upon receipt the product was not comparable and I was told by my medical team to absolutely not use it as it would create a worse condition. I spent HOURS over the course of more than a week trying to correct the situation - multiple times they told me they could send me the correct unit oddly but then backed out, which makes me think they were only looking at profit, the product I was sent dan be purchased for $11 online, the product I was prescribed is $350. Ultimately Apria decided to not do the right thing for the customer and realize that one of their employees made an error on product knowledge, and I’m the one that loses out. They got their money from my insurance company and that’s all the general manager cared about. If your insurance company recommends Apria, ask for a different partnered company or make sure you have researched exactly what your Dr prescribed before speaking with them.

I just started to use a Invacare Platinum XL Oxygen Concentrator. I opened it to check the HEPA filter and it was moldy!!! I call and they told me to clean it!! OMG, I shouldnt have to clean a machine I just received. I am livid. I was breathing in this mold for days.Updated: to 2 stars because I received a replacement machine within an hour after I called!

I understand and have experienced the frustration described by other patients as they try to speak to someone in person who can understand and respond to their requests. The company really should change its call center. My experiences with the staff in Cromwell, CT have been excellent, however, and I want to recognize them. Once I was able to make an appointment, I was treated courteously and professionally. The technicians listened to my concerns and were able to address them. They helped me through the maze of paperwork associated with Medicare and I left completely satisfied. The one missing star is for the company and its archaic and impersonal phone system. The staff I have worked with have been great.

Ive been an Apria patient for a long time, because its the only game in town. If there was an alternative, Id switch in a minute. Call, and you get nothing but voice-mail, EVERY SINGLE TIME. Leave your name, phone number, birthdate, whatever, and YOU NEVER GET A CALL-BACK. NOT ONCE.Youd think a company in retail might have SOME interest in selling their products by actually providing CUSTOMER SERVICE. Customer service at Apria in Cromwell, CT is NON-EXISTENT. If you have a choice, go anywhere but Apria.

This company is a complete waste of time. I submitted a prescription for a walker to them a month ago immediately following surgery. I was originally told it would be filled within 7 - 10 business days, I called on both of those days only to find out the script was in review. I just called back again, 23 business days into this nonsense only to find out the order is still in review. Do not waste your time with this place. Unfortunately I cant give them less than one star, or I would.

Avoid this company at all cost. Internal operations are a mess. You get different guidance depending on who you talk to. Doesnt appear that they coordinate information between local offices and online/telephonic customer service. Im in dispute with them over a $47.71 charge, and cant even get a local office manager on the phone. Was given conflicting information close to a year ago about the amount now in dispute. Extremely frustrating experience. I will be writing the CEO of the company.

The 5 Star Rating for this review is for the Outstanding service providedby Steve Stidham from the Cromwell office.When my wife said he called to tell her he was on his way to deliver my brother-in-laws oxygen support equipment & supplies, she said she was very impressed with his friendly demeanor.When he promply arrived, we found him to be be genuinely helpful, patient and efficient in explaining all the instructions. The personalized customer service he exhibited should be used as a model for others in the business. He is an asset to the the company.I believe the many of the low review ratings that Apria receives arebecause Apria outsources is national customer service to individualsin other countries who dont have the proper communication skills for the job. These individuals frequently frustrate callers. We experienced this when we first contacted Apria.Regional office staffers in the U.S., like Steve, are very competentand deserve to be recognized for their customer support skills.

Terrible customer service. I tried to call a number in the USA, in Cromwell. Ct. And I keep getting to some OFF SHORE place where I cannot understand the people speaking and the connection is awful.I would switch in a minute if I could. I am going to call Medicate and complain to them, and I would suggest to everyone else who is on Medicare to call and complain and then maybe they will pick a more dependable company.

I have done business with Apria for several years. I am seeking a new company for my CPAP supplies because the service is awful, calls are never returned, and many errors have been made, including sending me the wrong supplies and continuing to use the former doctors name after corrections have been made. Communication with the home office in CA and speaking with supervisors have never helped. Do yourself a favor and select another health supply company. Dont get involved with these clowns.

Billing has been a nightmare, they will not send a statement and it is impossible to get through on the phone, do not give them a credit card or check withdrawal authorization. I spoke with them last October and they said my contract was completed got another check deduction today.

Horrible customer service, I can never get in touch with a person at the office for concerns about my CPAP machine. I keep getting routed to god knows where because the people that I have spoken to can barely speak ENGLISH. Im very disappointed...I will be seeking my equipment elsewhere.

First of all the facility is the dirtiest professional building that I have ever been in. The carpets have stains, the chairs are filthy and bathrooms were all backed up. I also had to wait 30 minutes for my scheduled appointment. . I would post pictures if I had the option. I havent gotten into my appointment yet but will further update.

First item delivered was not functional and missing parts. Second try still missing parts that werent delivered for two weeks. Unwilling to schedule a pickup for return of items. Phone system is poor and service reps dgaf about anything.
