My experience was GREAT as it always is. Gwen, my hygienist, is excellent. She is aware of the health of my gums; therefore, she is very careful to make my experience as painless as possible. She has never hurt me. I actually look forward to my cleanings. My mouth feels great. The staff is very friendly, patient, and helpful. I met Dr Bruce for the time. He is every bit as friendly and professional as Dr mugford. I would have no problem in strongly recommending this practice to anyone.

I have known Dr. Mugford for over 20 years. I would not consider going to anyone else. Dr. Mugford is gentle, extremely knowledgeable, and thoroughly prepared to answer any questions that might arise. He is a skilled dental provider. After making a diagnosis, he explains his findings in an easy-to-understand manner, and proceeds to give his recommendation that would eliminate the issue.Having a recent anterior crown that became loose, I called the Mugford Center. The front desk receptionist was friendly, asked pertinent questions concerning my problem, and said she would have the Patient Care Coordinator return my call. Ms. Sue Hentgen did call back as promised and scheduled an appointment within a few days. I am very grateful she was able to fit me in a busy schedule.From Dr. Mugford to every individual I have met working at the Mugford Center, I found them all to be welcoming and courteous, attentive and helpful.I am scheduled for a dental implant early September. Not worried or concerned, as I am sure I would be if it were anyone else performing the surgery. Yes, I would highly recommend Dr. Mugford, along with his efficient office staff, to anyone who is having a dental problem they think Dr. Mugford might be able to help with.

These folks are the best. Very complicated procedure performed flawlessly. Getting my teeth healthy is like suddenly having a lost limb back.

I had a really good experience. Dr. Bruce was really gentle. I was pretty exhausted after having the tooth pulled and bone graft. And I was thirsty and hungry. I picked up my antibiotic at the drug store on the way home, then had a lovely dinner at my retirement facility with 3 friends. I ate slowly, but well (with choices which were also soft — soup, fish, cooked carrots, pilaf, ice cream, and 4 glasses of dilute ice tea) I took it really easy in the evening, didn’t take anything for pain. I went to bed early, slept well. I woke up twice (all the tea), but went back to bed and slept in.I awoke with almost no pain, and only mild discomfort So I doubt I’ll take anything for pain. I can smile today. I made myself some French toast, and will have a nap after I pick up my take out dinner. Many, many thanks.

The Mugford Center operates like a well-oiled machine.The office is pleasant and spotless and the desk people are welcoming and efficient.Dr Mugford’s assistant asked me many questions and took pictures of my face under very many angles. Dr Mugford made a thorough examination of my mouth and neck, did I say thorough?A plan was offered after many explanations and Sue sat with me afterwards and we decided on treatment dates.I would recommend this office wholeheartedly!

I could not be happier with the dental work that Dr. Mugford has done for me. After I cracked a tooth pretty severely and irreparably, he performed the extraction and implant with precision and gentleness. He also corrected my bite alignment, which had been an annoyance (a literal pain in the neck...and jaw...and temples) for decades. No other dentist or orthodontist had been able to correct it. If you’re in the market for a dental implant or a bite alignment, look no further...Dr. Mugford is your guy!

Nice practice with knowledgeable staff, but lacking in empathetic patient care. I have anxiety surrounding medical procedures and did not appreciate Dr. Mugford telling me himself he thought it was an overkill to prescribe something to ease that anxiety before a somewhat invasive procedure from a dentist I had never been to before. Needless to say, I had a panic attack (was that an overkill, too, Mugford?) and have not returned. I prefer going to dental practices that meet their patients where theyre at and do not shame them for things they do not understand.

I had some administrative problems with this office in the beginning. The office manager called and apologized for my inconvenience and then Dr. Mugford wrote me a letter apologizing. That’s so rare these days! I sincerely appreciate that they recognized that i had to arrange my schedule to book the appointment and was disappointed when it was canceled without me knowing because of a mixup in my records. I am blown away with how nice this office is and hope to be able to schedule with them in the future.

Personable staff, organized office and impeccably clean facility. Dr. Mugford was thorough with my evaluation and came up with a treatment plan quickly. Sunny Peters in the business office was great and helped work out the financial aspect.

I had some complications with two implants that were placed in Florida years ago. This resulted in loss of bone and infection, and and a fair bit of work needed to be done. He was referred to me by another periodontist when I moved and he has been leading my dental team (together with my orthodontist and primary dentist) to get things back on track. During treatment I underwent chemo for breast cancer, which caused additional complications with healing. However, with his expertise and care, we are almost done getting my mouth back in shape, and I am so grateful. He is very kind, with good bedside manner and good pain control. His staff and the office are lovely as well.

He is our go to doctor for speciality dental procedures. He communicates with your routine dentist to adjust your care and provide advice to them in the performance of their care. His coordination of care is exceptional! When both my wife and I have a dental complication, we always go to Dr. David Mugford and he works a solution. On my most recent visit, he resolved an extremely painful implant issue, working me in for an immediate appointment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mugfords for 20 years now, and have seen a significant improvement in my oral health during this time. At my first visit, I learned that I had severe periodontal disease and would need major scaling and planing, and some soft tissue and bone build-up. There have been various invasive procedures since then as well. Dr. Mugford and my hygienist -- Ive also been with Gwen throughout these 2 decades -- are highly skilled as well as having a good bedside manner. I am just getting to know Kelsey, the surgical assistant who has done prep work for a few of my recent visits -- she is both personable and professional. Every member of Dr. Mugfords office staff with whom I have interacted over the years has been very pleasant while at the same time totally business-like.I will say that I have found the prices for Dr. Mugfords services to be on the high side, and have considered looking for a less expensive periodontist. I have concluded, though, that the quality of these services as well as the value of clinical continuity have, so far, outweighed budgetary considerations.All-in-all, my experience at The Mugford Center has been a good one, and I highly recommend Dr. Mugford and his team.

This was my third gum reconstruction surgery. I had complications each time, but Dr. Sfondouris was an excellent surgeon. A very pleasant experience.I was extremely impressed with the efficiency and kindness of the Assistant, who captured details around the purpose of my visit, took images, and prepared me for a more thorough examination by Dr. Tassos SFoundouris. Typically, I am apprehensive in the dental chair; however, the Assistant put me totally at ease.Dr. SFoundouris was very patient in listening as I recounted the history of the tooth and gum problems and the persistent pain that had plagued me over the past several months. Very thorough and I felt very confident in the treatment plan. Had the surgery today and I didn’t feel ANY of the needles. Gentle and asked me several times if I was ok. Dr. Mugford is a phenomenal periodontist! My teenage daughter had excess gum tissue which affected the appearance of her smile and made her teeth difficult to brush. Dr. Mugford performed crown lengthening on all of her upper front teeth with the most beautiful results we could imagine. Now her mouth is healthy too! He also identified some issues with her bone structure which helped determine the best way to complete her orthodontic work and stabilize her bite. Dr. Mugfords skills and expertise are unmatched and his team is wonderful!

Dr. Mugford is a very competent periodontist. I’m very pleased with my implant he installed 3 years ago. Dr. Mugford was recommended to me after my first implant by different dentist failed due to insufficient gum tissue around the implant. Dr. Mugford did a gum tissue graft during the implant procedure.I return to his office annually for cleaning and health check of my gum tissue. I lost and/or damaged several front teeth this past year during a fall. My immediate dentist, Dr. Ehmann, did a superb job of traumatic dentistry the following day. He has done an outstanding job of inserting two implants on my front teeth. While the process is not yet complete the teeth look better, feel better, and work better. I was treated very well at Dr. Mugfords office. Every effort was made to make me as comfortable as possible. The procedure performed was lengthy but I was surprisingly comfortable throughout. Dr. Mugford answered all my questions and told me what I could expect following the visit. His staff made sure I had information regarding how to deal with any problems that might arise but I am fine and relatively pain-free on the day following.

Though admittedly a bit nervous before having gum flap surgery (OK, a lot nervous!), Dr. Mugford and his staff were amazingly supportive before he began.Yes, there was the usual noise from instruments, but he is remarkably skilled delivering the numbing agents (usually my least favorite part), but I had a book on CD to drown out most of the background noise.He worked on a tooth that had one or two 9mm pockets, brought by a bite misalignment and teeth clenching (at night) rather than poor oral hygiene on my part. He did some laser therapy as well at that site and on the other side (upper) on a back tooth that had similar, but not quite so severe problems.Post op, some mild discomfort at the site he had worked on the most...but...that night, I slept so soundly (without the sound of snoring!) and woke today feeling tremendously better. While the site is still a bit tender, thats about it. But I feel so so much better overall, it is hard to describe.For the past years, more attention has been drawn to the links between ones overall health and periodontal disease....following Dr. Mugfords skillfully done procedure, even though its been less than 24 hours, the change in my perception of the world around me and my own otherwise good health is truly astonishing.Thank you, sir, for being so supportive and so thorough - and your office staff for just being there.
