Results from my surgery are just plain excellent. About 5 weeks post-op, better than I ever hoped. Dr Quinn doesnt volunteer a lot of info or conversation, but her staff assistants are usually available and fill in for those issues. I would highly recommend Dr Quinn.

I love this doctor. He operated on my back two years ago and did an out standing job, eliminating my chronic back pain. When you meet with him, he takes all the time you need and never rushes you. He listens attentively and answers your questions in a manner that you can understand. I love how he walks you out to his computer and shows you MRI, EX-RAY, AND CT scan results. I would highly recommend Doctor Forget to anyone. Hes the best!

Today was my initial consultation with Dr. Yoon. I will be having surgery in nine days to remove a part of my herniated disc at L5 – S1.I found his explanations to be very insightful, and his recommendation to proceed to surgery was not given without a thorough discussion. He answered all of my questions and more, and he was very patient with me.Don’t be put off by his quiet manner. He is very direct, and comes with high recommendations for his skill in surgery. If you want someone to hug you or hold your hand, go find someone else. His skills lie in other areas.I will follow up after my surgery to give insight into whether or not his treatment was successful.

Dr. Forget and his team were wonderful to deal with during a very challenging time for our family (my mother suffered C1 and C2 fracture during a fall). They were accessible during my mothers hospital stay, answered all our questions, and helped guide us through her recuperation. During office visits, they were compassionate and took plenty of time to talk with my mother (age 91) about her condition, restrictions, recommendations, and care plan, making sure she understood all the information they provided. We could not be more pleased with the care and treatment she received, and we feel comfortable knowing that shes in good hands with Dr. Forget.

My visit with Dr. Yoon and his PA was excellent. The three of us discussed the type of surgery he recommended in my situation. All the questions I had were addressed to my satisfaction. The surgery date (March 10, 2020)was set after a discussion with his secretary, and I was briefed on all the pre-op requirements. The entire visit was handled very professionally.

Dr. Forget and his team were exceptionally skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of my medical condition. Dr. Forget was an active and emphatic listener, provided thorough explanations of my condition both pre- and post-surgery using models and X-rays, and gave helpful answers to my questions. The outcome both eliminated pain and restored functioning better than I thought possible. His staff were also supportive for all the necessary appointments, paperwork, and follow-up.

Dr. Sweeney was very professional and knowledgeable about my condition. He explained the surgery to me in a manor I could understand. But I did get a bit nervous. His staff was kind and friendly.

Very helpful. I called with a minor complication from my surgery and she saw me first thing the next morning. She explained how I should manage it and gave me the various options. She also was able to reassure that the complication would not hinder my recovery and the timing to get back to normal activities, an important concern for me. This is an excellent practice, and all the providers seem in touch with each other continuously.

I was referred to Dr. Tanya Quinn of Neurosurgical Specialists of West County. From the very first meeting I felt at ease. She took her time answering my questions and explaining what my next step would be regarding my treatment schedule. I have subsequently seen her twice more and appreciate her thoroughness and compassion.

Dr. Forget was extremely professional and explained every aspect of my situation and the care he would provide to reduce my pain. He made sure I understood what was going on and why. Just home from hospital, Dr Forget performed my surgery. From the secretaries in his office to the anesthesia care team and all of the nurses @ Mercy hopsital....everyone was fantastic!! I can’t thank them enough, as my first surgery at 39 years old things couldn’t have been better. I’m a nurse so probably the biggest critic but I have nothing but positive things to say ❤️Thank you Dr Forget and staff for taking exceptional care of me!!!

Dr. Forget, Did major back surgery on me in March I was in the hospital for 3 days . I went home without using my cane. I am still doing great l walk daily for my therapy. He’s a very caring doctor and takes pride in his patients. If l ever need him l call the office and they call back. I have 2 rods and screws in my back. I would not let anyone else work on my back but Dr. Forget. I have my life back now I couldn’t do anything for myself my L2 to L5 was a mess and he fixed my back.

Dr. Sweeney showed a sincere desire to help from the second we met him. I don’t know where he was raised or what shaped him into the person he is today, but we need more people like Dr. Sweeney. I can only hope he receives some of the grace he gives away.Steve and Virgie

I wanted to get my done and get it over with, but Dr. Quinn wanted me to do some PT first to see if that would help. The next time I saw her, she wanted me to have a nerve test done so she knows what is truly causing my pain so she knows what needs to be done. Met Dr Yoon to discuss my case. He was very good at showing me my MRI and what needed to be done to get some relief. Provided 2 options that we are considering now. Highly recommended.

The visits with Dr Forget by surgical patient Gary Tucker are always described by him as compassionate, kind, understanding. Dr Forget is always ready to listen, and spend his time with Gary never in a hurry. We think very highly of Dr Forget.

I am so glad we waited for Dr. Forgot. He was so kind and didnt have an arrogant bone in his body. He listened and answered questions which relieved all of our concerns. My husband now feels that there is hope and relief for the pain in his back.

Super friendly and knowledgeable. Went through explanation on the issue and the surgical resolution that was needed. Dr Forget didn’t want to know what everyone told me the issues was he specifically asked me what I thought was wrong and where my pain was etc... he took nothing for granted, he treats his patients with respect.

I saw Dr Quinn for a consultation. Her demeanor was that of the name for a female dog. She was not empathetic, or compassionate. Basically said she could fix some things but make others worse. She also made me feel like my symptoms weren’t real because it was “ anatomically not possible.” despite having disease at multiple levels of my spine as shown by my mri including nerve compression. She was very dismissive. I would not send anyone to this group.

Dr. Holekamp was thourgh and honest in his approach and conversation with us. We very much liked his straight forward and honest approach . He answered questions and addressed our concerns. The visit was greatly appreciated by us.

I called to get information as I am not that educated on neurosurgeons or neurology and Im looking to get an EEG test done for a family member. Let me tell you how the conversation went with the receptionist. Hi, I was calling to see if you take new pts. RESPONSE: If they were referred by a Doctor. What if they dont have a Doctor. RESPONSE: Most of our pts. get have a work up already. Ok, I was wondering what the difference between Neurosureons and Neurologist. RESPONSE: One does surgery Oh well I was thinking that a Neurosurgeon might have a little more of an education so I am considering seeing one. I want to get an EEG test done. RESPONSE: are you calling from a providers office. No, Im just calling for information Does your facility to EEG test? RESPONSE, no. Do you have a sister company? RESPONSE: who is this, like im some kind of scammer or something? YOU HAD TO HEAR HER TONE SHE WAS USING. Do you know where to get an EEG done? RESPONSE: No, Ok? Thank you, good bye AND HANGS UP ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On 8-8-18 I was life flighted in from a highway accident in Elsberry. I was ejected from the vehicle and thown across the highway. Test reveiled I had 3 fractured vertibrae.. One in the middle of the other two were crushIed. I was born with a spinal curvature but it never really bothered me medically but this further complicated things for the surgeons . Dr. Sweeny had a mess to deal with that day. He also figured out that I have an autoimmune disease that fuses the vertibrae together. Dr.Sweeny and his team worked 8+ hours in surgery throughout the night on a damaged spine that was already very bad. The best that could be hoped for was rehab for 3 months to a year and 2 years in a wheel chair. Guess what? I was walking within 2 weeks with some assistance and home two weeks later. 6 months out and I walk without assistance! Dr. Sweeneys skills and talent has saved this life! There are many other instances where Ive met or heard of other spinal surgery patients who have had exsperiences with him and are miracles too! He is an angel.
