The best part about Crossfit 54 is the community. The couches and the other members truly care and support everyone to be better everyday. No matter someone fitness level ( or lack of fitness ) they modify everything so you can get a great workout for you. If you have thought about joining or coming to a community day do it. I did 5 years ago and still love it. At my age its about health and staying active and I cant think of anywhere else Id rather stay fit.

My experience in the time I have joined your gym has been all around awesome. Starting with the consultation I really liked that you sat down with me and we talked over my goals and we talked how to get me there. The whole time we were talking you kept taking notes and to me that means you really care about each individual that comes through your doors and you really listen to their goals and needs. That means a lot. The first day I came to work out I was a little intimidated because I have never really been to gym let alone a CrossFit gym. That intimidation instantly went away everyone is soooo nice the coaches and the other athletes. Your gym also has modifications to every exercise we do so it really is perfect for everyone. I also joined the nutrition program and I love how I can just get in touch with Steph whenever I have questions and she is always very helpful. Also they fact that you guys talk about balance is really awesome because it gives room for people to mess up and eat something they shouldnt eat once in awhile and it not be the end of the world or have to work out every single day to accomplish something. I have gone three times a week for a few weeks and already see results and feel so much better. You have messaged me multiple times asking how things are going and how I am doing and that shows that you care about your clients and care about what you are doing improving peoples lives. 100/10 recommend

Great facility and community! Thanks to CrossFit 54 I have built muscle and strength which has not only helped my performance in competitive obstacle course racing, all of my health markers are better too! The staff are highly trained and very helpful! The community of people there is great for accountability. I prefer working out at CrossFit 54 over anywhere else!

Before joining Crossfit54, I had joined other local gyms on and off, but didn’t really know what I was doing, so I’d stick with mainly cardio equipment until I’d get bored and quit going. I was never really consistent with my workouts or my nutrition.Crossfit54 has given me the consistency and accountability that I needed. Between the small class sizes, excellent coaches, nutrition coaching, and the support from the other members; all of it combined was what I needed to help me with my fitness and health goals.I started in June 2018 and have now been coming here for 2 years. I am currently in my third trimester of pregnancy and the head coach/owner, Jessica, has been an amazing resource to help modify/scale all my movements to what is safe and comfortable for me at this time, but to still be able to be active.

Pregnancy and postpartum is no joke! It is so hard to wake up one morning and not recognize yourself. I gained A LOT of weight in my first pregnancy. A little over 70 lbs to be exact. Coming home with a newborn was exhausting. The extra weight made things even more difficult. I couldnt run (it hurt my knees). I also couldnt hardly put my son in a car seat, change his diaper on the floor, or get him in and out of the bathtub without possibly injuring my back. Keeping the weight was never an option. But getting it off felt like quite the obstacle.Crossfit 54 has helped me out so much both during and after pregnancy. Especially when it came to picking up the pieces of my body after having a baby... After giving birth to my son I had about 50 lbs to lose after the initial weight fell off. I also had to work around the ab separation that comes with carrying a baby. Jessica was so helpful and supportive with giving me options where I could still workout in class with everyone else! On top of that, all of the coaches and athletes at Crossfit 54 have been nothing but supportive. It is a great community! Coming back from having a baby, I probably worked out 4 to 5 days a week with a lot of scaling at first. But over time, I was able to rebuild the strength I had lost after giving birth.At 8 months postpartum, I talked to our nutrition coach Stefanie to help me out with trying to get off the last 20 lbs or so of extra weight I was carrying. I remember at our first meeting I wasnt super excited about tracking my food and I believe Stefanie said If you eat it and dont log it, then you dont want to lose weight. Ugh, so true! I found that generally I do eat a healthy diet but I was in the habit of mindlessly eating more than I actually needed. It is funny because I actually had so much more energy in a slight calorie deficit than I did before!Now, I have lost the weight I gained in pregnancy plus a few pounds. I weighed 235 lbs at my heaviest in pregnancy and right now I hang out around 158 lbs or so. Those numbers arent the most important thing to me though. What is important is that I got my life back. It is easier for me to hold my 14 month old son than it was for me to hold my newborn. I can put my toddler in a car seat. I can change him wherever. But more importantly I have the energy to take care of him and play with him.Right now, I still do crossfit workouts 4-5 days a week. If I dont make it to the gym, I do a modified version of the workout at home. Since losing the weight, I can finally run again. I run 2-4 miles about 3 days a week. Yes, it is for fun. I take 1-2 days a week as rest days. I continue to have a healthy diet but I am not trying to lose any more weight. I just want to maintain what I have and continue to get stronger.If you are interested in crossfit or getting into shape, you should definitely give Crossfit 54 a try! Having your health is so worth it!Megan M
