We had discovered a leak in our AC drain so I did a search of local AC repair companies. I saw that Cook Home Services had a lot of good reviews so I called. Hoping to get on the waitlist since it was Friday afternoon, I was more than pleasantly surprised to hear that a technician would be out that day. The two young men who came out were very friendly and professional and got my AC back up and running. And on a hot July day that was extremely important. Cook Home Services is my new go-to!!

Excellent communications, respect for property, and willingness to explain work that was being done was much appreciated, however I was disappointed with thoroughness of work that was performed, as we were left with a non-functioning HVAC system due to a couple of minor oversights (gas was left shut off and igniter was not plugged in to gas control valve). I realize it is easy to overlook simple things like this when doing a job, and they were both easy to rectify, but I was none the less disappointed.

Josh was fantastic! He showed true dedication and experience with his work. The way in which he spoke of others on his team so positively was building a confidence and a respect for the company. He set the standard of professionalism that others should be held. I appreciated the education of how my furnace worked and the transparency in which he communicated. Five Stars!

I have used cooks for o % interest financing on major repairs before and have done so a few times none of our projects were less then 3k due to age of house an replacement. Fair prices and no hassle service. We even use the 6 months annual checkup and services.

Tommy just left and was AMAZING! He was knowledgeable and took the time to explain what happened to our furnace, why it happened, and how it needed to be fixed. Estimates were given prior to work being done so we knew what we were spending before the work was done. Afterward, he discussed ways to help prevent the problem we had and discussed options moving forward to install a new unit. A huge bonus is that he was comfortable working in a historic home and was familiar with how homes were heated and cooled during the turn of the century. We were so pleased with the service from start to finish. The customer service rep was friendly and knowledgeable as well. She had Tommy here within the hour. If you need HVAC work, especially if you have a historic home, these guys are the best!!

This is the second install in 11 years by the good guys at Cooks. They are just awesome guys. The install was great. Why did I have another furnace installed? Went from heat pump to a geothermal. Cant wait to see how it all goes this coming winter - but, Im not rushing winter.Everyone is most helpful from the gals in the office to the guys who come out to check the system twice a year. Oh yes. And, Mark, the install guy.

Troy didnt keep word for keeping/getting static pressure down which was why we agree to the replacement of furnace and repair to duct system. Also installers left my air conditioner about 2lbs shy on freon /410a. I had to call another company to properly refill the unit which cost me an additional 212 dollars I had to pay. I do not recommend this company. I already pulled warranty information and provided to another company to support my heating/cooling needs. I guess thats why people in the area dont call Cooks heating and air, Cooks as they actually call them Crooks which is far more fitting.Reply,Cooks did not drop it more than half, this is a lie. I have another outfit come out after the very first time I called Cooks. The other outfit came about 3-4 months after the intial time I called Cooks and added additional return which dropped it from 1.8 on the static to 1.1 on the static. Cooks is taking credit for something they did not do. Cooks did drop it from 1.1 to .8 but only after pulling teeth. Yes, they are right the duct size was and partially still is the issue but they assured me they would get that down to .5-.6 which is a level they still did not reach as they promised.As for the A/C the unit was fine even with the dirt on it and the unit wouldve still frozen me out of the house meaning the dirt was not inhibiting anything. If they were so concerned about the dirt, they shouldve brought a hose and sprayed the unit off. The dirt wasnt even on the coils at all as the unit has a screen which is design to catch the dirt so it doesnt hit the coils so the excuse either way it is sliced is invalid.BTW forgot to add that they failed to add the shut off switch as promised and clean the vent out in the attic as well.

Our original heating and cooling system was installed by Cooks. It lived long past what it should have. They checked on everything twice a year for 23 years. When our air stop performing they were called. All of the possible options were laid out for us. The best was to replace both air and heat at the same time. Everything was completely installed in one day. The guys, Tommy and Jay were both courteous and friendly. Tommy told me about how quiet the furnace would be compared to our old model. Well I just turned it on for the first time this year Oct 24, 2014. I had to check to see that I had done it properly because I didnt hear anything. So much silence, how refreshing, I hadnt realized how much noise the old unit had been making. Their service is always so quick and neat. I cant begin to consider ever having some other company in our home. Thanks for always being available.

My total review will be coming soon to explain this rating when I am not posting out of disgust and anger but with facts. I suggest doing your homework and not calling out of urgency by picking a name out of the phone book. I suggest asking your friends and family for referrals and will leave it at that for now. Without a doubt I will be following up soon and you will be more than happy that I took the time.

Paid $75:for them to come the week before Thanksgiving to repair my gas fireplace. They came took the money and have yet to even attempt to fix it. I have called several times and I am told they are looking into ordering a part. I found an entire replacement for it on Amazon forc$175. I want my money back!!!

I just had to replace my old furnace. Cook Heating did an excellent job. As always, they are very efficient, knowledgeable, polite and thorough. I have used Cook Heating for a long time and I will continue to do so. I would highly recommend them.

On Nov 3, 2014 Troy B came to our rescue. Furnace fixed in under an hour. The best part is we learned all of our options. Now we know what to plan for in the future. Very thorough, knowledgeable, willing to really educate and explain in detail. Highly Recommend!

Our air conditioner, a geothermal system, went out. We called Cook Heating and Air and Troy and Andrew came out the same day. They made a diagnosis, and unfortunately needed parts to fix it. We were told the parts would be in within three days, but they did not arrive on time due to being sent to the wrong place by the post office.When the parts came in, our system was fixed quickly and right on their estimate. The lesson here is not to have things you need quickly sent via the mail.
