We were suggested to see Terry by a judge during a custody battle. From the beginning, Terry was very condescending and he liked to play devils advocate and he favored men. He requested a retainer of $800, although our insurance covered all appointments, in case he needed to go to court. After many unsuccessful sessions, my child’s father and I mutually decided to stop seeing him. Since he was not needed in court and did not provide any court recommendations, we asked for a retainer back and Terry Giblin would not give it back. We signed a contract, it stated clearly that we would be reimbursed if he was not needed in court. Terry down right refused, broke our contract and did it in such an unprofessional way. He really should be held accountable for acting petty because a Mom called him out on his illegal retainers and for favoring men... because he’s under the impression that women are hysterical and men are superior. I found out later that my child’s father went back to Terry because he was aware of Terry favoring him, and Terry having an issue with our financial dispute, Terry went on a rampage to throw me under the bus. He colluded with my child’s father and wrote a very unprofessional and quite frankly illegal letter to the courts in support of my child’s father, who was sneaking behind everyone’s back to see him and garner letters and recommendations that were in his favor solely. We could hardly get through a single session without Terry causing more conflict. There may have been only one time that Terry sided with me and that’s it, even though I had been taken advantage by the corrupt system that is Family Court. I do not believe Terry has moral integrity and I do not believe he followed HIPAA regulations based off my experience. Terry is just one of many professionals in the racketeering that is so prevalent and overt in Family Court, where lawyers, judges, guardian ad litems, supervisors and counselors pick and choose who gets to make the buck off parents fighting for their children’s best interest. What parent wouldn’t pay the money they need to fight for their child if they are given no choice because of the racket professionals in Family Court have implemented. This man is abusive, mentally and verbally. I do not recommend him AT ALL unless you’d like your situation to implode! Hey Terry, my child’s father and I are back together AGAIN! Just like I told you would happen. And it was no thanks to you. In fact, you caused very abusive behavior to continue.
