The first person that helped me was very nice but didnt quite know how to help me. The 2nd person was able to help me find exactly what I needed from color matching lipsticks and liners to finding something long lasting for wedding day. Super friendly staff!!

I don’t like this ulta location at all. there was multiple people following me around, i felt like they were just watching every move i was making. Didn’t feel inviting at all and honestly felt uncomfortable the whole time. Will not be going back which is sad because now i have to drive an extra 20 minutes to a different location.

I buy online from Ulta.com and usually get my go tos. Tarte foundation and the occasional eyeshadow pallet or brow tint. They text me when its ready to pick up. Easy peasy.

Felicia and the team were able to get me in same day on a weekend for a much needed hair cutting appointment. I will be returning, and am eager to have found a great connection so close to our new home. Thanks bunches!

A huge array of products and especially love the extensive variety of product lines for textured hair. Store layout is easy to navigate. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I really like that staff are open with you when they dont have specialized product knowledge and then refer you to another staff member who does. I shop here almost exclusively for any beauty supply needs. On very few occasions I need to go somewhere else to get what I need. Parking is great, can get in and out quickly and with ease.LOVING the buy online and pick-up in store same day. It gives me time to really research what I need while Im at home and have everything I need already set aside when I get there. Product availability by location is kept up-to-date, so I have yet to run into an issue where a location shows they have something and then they dont when you get there.

I come here all the time and the customer service is very good. I have been there in holidays were there is a lot of people and they check you out pretty fast, even when their system is malfunctioning. So I super recomend this Ulta.

I’ve had staff follow me around the store thinking I’ll steal something. I feel so monitored and felt like a criminal in this location. I can’t shop in peace without the staff constantly asking me if I need any help when I keep saying multiple times “I don’t need help.” I wanted to buy a perfume but one of the staff kept interrupting me. I don’t like when staff keeps talking to me and asking if I need help because it’ll ruin my shopping. Maybe asking once is ok because it’s a sign of welcoming which I love but asking more than once is a bit overboard. It made me feel that the staff thinks I’m suspicious. I’ll just stick to the online shopping to avoid the micro aggression this location gives because its unhealthy for me.

The associate that helped me today was Shelby. She is amazing. She was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and nice. I would come back simply because of her and I would request her assistance. Everyone else was also very professional and nice.

My sister went to get her eyebrows done today 12/26/2020 by a lady and she honestly did not do a good job. Both her eyebrows are uneven. Im not writing this review out of retaliation but my sister did not appreciate her attitude after complaining about it. Im going to leave her name here for you guys so you can save money. Very unprofessional! I hope she works on herself, personally and professionaly.

I went into the store last week and had the worst shopping experience ever. if I could give zero stars I would have. I have been going to this ulta because it’s close to my house but because of the horrible customer service I will not be returning. I walked in and it was quite busy and I was trying to find someone to help me. I walked up to Jordan and she was just snobby and didn’t even want to hear what I had to say. She ended up just walking away. It was very rude of her to jus ignore me and not help me because that is poor customer service.

Had my wedding hair done by the Salon, Kira is a treat to work with.

After many years of going to Stan Parente or Gene Juarez salons I was very hesitant to try the ulta salon at Covington. I am so glad I did! Saved a ton of money and have not been this pleased with the hair service for the quality the price in the overall service Ive already rebooked for 8 weeks out and cannot wait to go back. Don’t even come here, staff really careless, I asked if they have ari perfume here and she didn’t care to look around first and just say no. We turn around and its the whole ari section right there. We asked again about this one have the full bottle, the two lady just look at each other and said no, at least check?! people like this push your customers away, I don’t feel welcome there!!

We were there for hair and makeup. The staff for MAC makeup were nice and they did a good job. Although for hair, it was too overpriced. You can find a different place that does hair for a better price and can do a better job. There was not good customer service with the hair staff. I will never go back to this store ever again. I’m giving this review to let people know that you can go to a different place with a better price and customer service. They did not inform us on the exact price for hair and styling, when we got our hair done. When we first asked about hair, it was a different price in the beginning. Whoever is running this store, please educate your employees to have a better customer service, so you can encourage more people to come into your store. The way that they priced my hair was a ripoff.

The associate that assisted me was very knowledgeable in the products, I needed. Her name is Kendall, and its obvious that she likes her job. She showed me how to fill in my brows, and I love how they look. I cant say enough about well I was treated.

Store was large and airy. Everyone was observing social distancing and wearing masks.

Employees are always helpful and do a solid job of not making you feel like an outsider if you are not exactly a pro at all things make up and beauty. Ive never had a reccomendation go wrong.Only one less star because the employees tend to ask are you finding everything okay a lot. On a busy day I could be asked this question 7-8 times. Maybe the associates could talk to each other more so this doesnt happen as much(?) Or have a different go to way to start a conversation.

I think this is my favorite Ulta location. It is usually really clean, stocked, and inviting. The staff doesnt pester you too much about credit cards and are willing to help you at any time. It isnt super busy which makes it nice to shop around without people reaching over you for things.

Its ok, doesnt feel very shopper friendly. I went in for a sunscreen and I told the lady I am seeing a dermatologist for my skincare but want something that doesnt peel under makeup and she said that it should never peel under makeup and that i over exfoliate, then handed me about 300 dollars worth of product without say much as to why she was handing it to me.other than she gave me a exfoliant and a serum and spf then proceeded to follow me around the store, I have spent a ton of money in the salon and in store and I wont be back. So rude. I only get treated well when i look nice and have my makeup done, they discriminate, I worked in cosmetic sales for years and have my cosmetology licence, and you should not be treated different or lied to about products.

My biggest issue with Ulta is that their coupons work on very few items in the store. They dont list the exclusions on the coupon. Sometimes the associates dont even know what brands are excluded. I have gotten to the register multiple times and have been told that the coupon didnt apply. Other than that, its a good store, but I prefer Sephora.

I recently came in to have my hair colored and my layers touched up. The previous time before this visit I wasnt too satisfied with my results. However, I decided to come back again and give it another shot. I got my hair colored + cut by Syuzana and I. 👏🏼 Am. 👏🏼 In. 👏🏼 Love. She did a FABULOUS job, I couldn’t have asked for a better stylist. I highly recommend her to anyone with long, thick, and hard to work with hair. She got the color down, framed my front layers just how I wanted, and all in very good time.I’m so happy I finally found my gal, I cannot wait to come back and revisit her again! Always fun to buy makeup! Another place to find Clinique besides Macys, I bought a beautiful holiday set calledBright All Night. I cant wait to try it out. I bought an Ulta blush, and a couple of makeup brushes and they gave me a Free lipstick! Nice. Customer service was friendly, but let me browse. I definitely recommend The Covington store.

I was skeptical, ill be honest. I had gone to ulta in tukwila for a cut, and the girl jacked me all up. So, after a long wait, i went to a different store. Sadly, i was just as disappointed and out over $300 for a perm and cut. I explained that my hair was curl resistant and that i wanted loose curls. What i got was a boat ton of damage, barely a half inch off my hair, and a perm that lasted 6 weeks.I will never, and i mean never, go to another ulta. They dont offer any refund on botched services, just blame. They dont apologize. They dont fix anything. Youre just stuck with jacked up hair and money lost.Dont. Do it.

Had to book a last minute hair appointment a few weeks ago. Root touch up and bayalage. My stylist went on early maternity leave and was headed out on vacation in a few days.My hair ended up completely fried. Was given the option to come in for deep conditioning and hair polish. My hair is so bad, that I just don’t trust them to touch it again.Called to cancel appointment and the girl answering the phone says “you’re like with our top stylist” with a bit of an attitude, said okay and hung up.All stylists should be competent. Especially at $277 and that’s without having my hair styled....that costs extra.A little compassion and a refund, all or partial, would have been what a customer service driven company would do.Will never return or recommend.

I had an appointment at the eyebrow bar, after waiting for 20 minutes for staff to finish with other clients and not being acknowledged by a single staff member I called another salon in the area (while standing at the brow bar) and was able to get in same day. I understand running behind but at least acknowledge waiting customers. Dont waste your time go elsewhere.

I booked an online hair appointment over a week ago and received and email confirmation with my stylists name and time. Came in today and was bumped to someone else and was told it was my fault for booking online?? Then was told she is at lunch and is booked out. Seriously When you spend $55 just for a haircut, not including the tip, or blow out, or any other little thing you might want you better get the person you want.

I had a wonderful time! They knew how to offer advice on curly hair. Thats worth more than anything else I could find there. I will be going back for that.

Large. Quiet. I got my brows done. I don’t like the shape but it’s the first time I didn’t have to do the black tint but could go a little lighter to match my hair. I think I’ll go back for the tint.

Apparently they cant figure out how to book a haircut properly. If you dont want to get there and find out you got bumped Id go somewhere more professional.

Usually good experience here, but there is one very rude and pushy person in the facial section which kinda ruined my whole trip. I asked for a reccomendation for under eye cream, and I got a speech about in-house facial treatments and why was I too cheap to spend money taking care of myself? (I was under a time constraint, but that answer just got me a flippant response from saleslady.)

Love this location! They never bombard me but are always helpful when I need it. I had two really friendly girls help me with skin care and makeup today and I left happier than ever when Ive gone to ulta!

I had a really bad experience here. This is like the 10th time I’ve been here and it always been a bad experience. The employees literally walked away from me. I overheard someone on the floor say to a Caucasian person “it’s a slow day today so you might get asked that a lot.” No one offered me help at all. I literally walked up to an employee that walked away from me. I went in for a hair tool and had to look up the reviews online. This store is not friendly to people of color and I cannot support that. I shouldn’t feel uncomfortable shopping in a cosmetics store. I get more help at other retails store similar to this one.

I went in there wanting a makeover but something that wouldnt take to much time. The lovely women who helped me with my new look was patient and extremely kind. You see i suffer from depression and anxiety very badly theres days where i get up and go to work and thats it.... so when I did this for me and i explained this to the women helping me she showed empathy. You dont find that much these days.. thank you so very very very much. You gave me a bit of me back that day.

I used to have decent experiences at Ulta... But a week ago I went in looking for a face moisturizer I know I bought at Ulta. When I walked up to the department, both Mac ladies told me there isnt such a product... I almost left feeling like an idiot... But just in case I Googled it and sure enough, the first result came back as sold at Ulta... When I went to the Mac counter to ask if they could order it, they said Id have to find it else where. That Ulta doesnt carry everything Mac....Perhaps a little less attitude and maybe an attempt to help would be better for business.

I really like the results & she went darker without saying it should look odd. It never has looked odd, so... Annie was nice and good at doing brows and a perfectionist! Id recommend anyone/ everyone to her, no oroblem.

If I could give this location 0 stars I would! The manager is very rude and has terrible customer service, the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. She has a serious attitude problem. I was being followed around, as if I was going to take something, at this point she was not being discreet, everytime I looked up she was near by watching me, making me feel very uncomfortable. I will discourage anyone I can from shopping at this location.

I came in and bought false eyelashes and had Taylor put them on. She was super nice and friendly and got them on fast and easy and gave lots of tips for me to do them on my own.

Do NOT get your hair cut here, especially from MyLinh. She royally messed up and knew it. All the other workers knew it was bad so they let me walk out with paying, thank goodness. But now I have to deal with these monstrous “curtain bangs.”

Came into the store to help my friend find beauty products, at first this one lady was nice helpful asking if we needed help, denied of course because we knew what we were doing. Staff kept coming up to us asking if we needed help, kept saying no. Then the same lady from the beginning gave me a bag which was nice my hands were full, but then they decided to take my friends and mines bag, to hold at the front and kept following us around, and taking everything that we were picking up and taking it to the front. I noticed that they were doing this to just us, Two African Americans, of course. Even the cashier was saying to keep our stuff in the front. And they were whispering about us, right in front of us ! No one else was being followed around or anything. I don’t know why they thought we were trying to steal, we didn’t even have big purses, my friend didn’t even have a purse and I had my tiny Kate spade. The staff made sure to stereotype us and make us feel welcomed, thanks for that.

Lynita at the Covington Ulta was very unpleasant to deal with today. She raised her voice, slammed down items and showed her frustration very openly. She said that there was nothing she could do to fix the mistake that one of the cashiers had made, but eventually when I wasn’t letting up, she decided to go ahead and fix the mistake that she had just told me she couldn’t do anything about. I didn’t appreciate her making a huge scene about it when I remained respectful and calm. I didn’t appreciate being talked to in that way and being told that the associates aren’t “human calculators.” And I especially didn’t appreciate her walking over to her associates and complaining about me while I was still in the store. I have shopped with Ulta for the past 7 years and was so excited when one opened up near my home. It’s just a shame that it’s filled with snobby white girls who lack any retail training or even basic human decency. Anyways, I would advise people to stick to their guns if they believe they are right in a situation and not be afraid to speak up, even when people like Lynita are rude and try to intimidate you out of the store. Also, don’t be surprised if some of the ladies here don’t welcome you or approach you in the store if you’re a person of color and/or not dressed up or wearing makeup— that seems to be the trend here as well.

Never book an appointment online for a hair cut. When I got there and checked in, they said they were booked up for two weeks. To make things worse they didnt even have me in the computer.
