So Nina calls herself an expert honey please save ur hair, time and money! This lady used a stove on the baby hair let alone her hair was not cleared out and drenched in oil but if your looking for something to practice on u NINAS the one! At this point we told her to stop, paid and left. The picture shown was at this point 3 mins old out the chair. This was oils flat ironed and stove burner straightened 😩

The ladies here are great and very talented. I love my hair and will definitely be going back!!

I went around 10 this morning to see if they had any openings. She took my number down and called back within 15 minutes saying I could come in at 2pm. I arrived at 2pm to get knotless box braids. The young lady started my hair around 2:30. After a few braids I noticed how slow she was moving and I knew I didn’t want to be there all day. After about an hour she had only installed 5 braids. She was an amateur braided which is something I’ve never experienced at an African braiding salon. I ended up paying $40 for the 5 braids in my head and leaving. Once I got home to remove them, they literally unraveled in my hands. Very poor quality and extremely SLOW! Wouldn’t recommend AT ALL!

First as soon as I walked in they all staring at me. I guess cause Im not a color person wich is ignorant I was gonna pay for my service and one of the staff was rude and ignorant they made feel so uncomfortable I ended up leaving and Im glad I did 0 starts for me.defetnetly dont recommend this place.

I am visiting from out of town and decided to get my hair braided. As a first time client my experience was not the best. When I first started to get my hair done, one of the ladies was doing the work sloppy and when advised that it looks different from the secondary one helping to complete my hair. She had the worst attitude when having to take the hair down. The lady who completed my hair was nice however when I got home and woke after placing my bonnet on. I was lifting to check my hair and one of the braids just slipped out. Not even 24 hours of getting my hair done. I am not even going to waste my time going back there tomorrow get it corrected. I am going to wait until I get home.

Amy is simply THE BEST. Beautiful SPIRIT & great talent. I am a licensed Stylist, Ive lived in NY all my life & use to get my hair braided in Harlem ( they were very good), but Amys skills are better. My daughters & I are never disappointed. She also cares about the hair health because she doesnt braid tight where your hair bulbs come out. She is the first person that has ever braided our hair & we can style IMMEDIATELY with our pain.

I recently got braids there. I have a daughter who has been going for over a year. I must say my service was outstanding. I normally only speak with Amy who is always kind and professional, but I recently had my braids done by Cassie who did an awesome job. It has been two weeks and my hair still looks neat with no bumps. I was treated so nice I just had to share .Thanks ladies 👏👏👑👑

Think I found a new braid shop to call home... Got my twist done today and I absolutely looooove them... Amy was very nice and professional, everyone them was very nice and made me feel so welcome. My braids I very neat and so super tight like most places. They definitely have a repeat customer. I highly recommend Amys shop😊😊

I got my hair braided at the shop as a walk in during the evening around 6 o’clock. I was thankful that a salon near my area was still accepting walk ins so late in the evening. I explained the style I wanted and Amy was able to do that in about 4 to 4 1/2 hours. The shop was clean and everyone seemed to get along well. The only “downside” is she braids really tight, it’s a good thing because they’re going to last; however, they might also take your edges lol, my scalp is a little raw near the side part. She laid my edges and put my hair in a neat bun once she was done, my style only cost $100.00. I will be going back whenever I need my hair braided again.

I was very pleased with the service I received at Amy Hair Braiding! I came by, spoke with Ola and Koule and they told me that they would braid my hair the next day beginning at 8am. They were on time, and super professional. To my surprise, a third braider helped as well, speeding up the process even more. I will definitely return! A bonus was hearing two different beautiful African languages spoken as I got my hair done! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Amy is very unprofessional and has a nasty attitude. She braided very slow and only cares about the money not the customers or their hair. She dropped the hair on the floor and was still trying to use it in my head. She spent so much time running her mouth and talking about other customers in a different language but it was so obvious. Take your money elsewhere!

I got my hair braided on 2/21/2019, box braids on a TWA with my sides shaved low. Prior to the appointment I had stopped by to make sure that my hair could be braided and to get the price.On 2/21/2019 I arrived at Amy’s shop at my appointment time. After a conversation in a language other than English Amy and another lady discussed my hair shortly after their conversation the lady, not Amy started my box braids. The lady finished my hair in about 5 hours I was happy she was able to finish so quickly. When I left the shop I was satisfied. My braids looked neat, bigger than what I thought they should be but neat.On 2/26/2019 the first braid came out. I was out with my family when I looked on the ground and noticed the braid. How embarrassing. I picked it up and at the time was surprised but didn’t really think too much of it. My hair is short. Over the next two weeks, up to 3/14/2019 I lost another 11 braids that I am aware of. I had got my hair braided at the time that I did to attend Mardi Gras. The entire time I was uneasy because I never knew when a braid might come out. Over the last three weeks braids were found in the yard by my car, around the house and who knows where else they might have fallen outwithout me noticing.On 3/8/2019 I called Amy to see when I could come in to have the braids that fell out replaced. When I called and spoke with Amy she seemed eager to correct the issue. At the time she told me to call on Sunday, 3/10/2019 at 11:00 am to discuss a time to come in. I called at 10:50 am. I was told to call later that day. At 1:30 pm I called and got no answer. The next day, 3/11/2019 I called and Amy answered. She apologized for not calling me back and asked if I could come in the next day. I could not. It was decided that I would get my the braids that had fallen out re-done on Thursday 3/14/2019 exactly 3 weeks from the first time I had gotten my hair braided.I was told by Amy that she would call when she was ready but instead of waiting for her call I decided to just go by the shop. When I arrived Amy was finishing up a client. When I walked in Amy appeared to be confused as to who I was and why I was there. After about 20-30 minutes and after I had to ask Amy when she had planned on working on my braids that had fallen out did any progress get made.Amy looked at my hair and said that the lady who braided my hair should have never put braids on some of my hair due to the length. I agreed and added that as the professional we look to them to determine what can be done and not done and that I would have preferred braids not be applied to hair if the braids were going to come out.Amy replaced the braids that had fallen out. When she was done there was no apology or appreciation for my business no nothing.It is sad. I am disappointed and I won’t be back. I don’t expect anyone to kiss my behind but I do expect some appreciation for my business. I do expect the braids that I paid for to look good and to remain in my head for more than a week.

Ive been to Amys braiding twice the first time I loved my braids but hated the service. The first time I went I scheduled an appointment for 7am. I explained to Amy I was pressed for time and needed to be out sooner than later. The day of my appointment Amy was 30 minutes late. Once Amy arrived she didnt apologize for being late. In fact she didnt even call to tell me she would be late. Instead I had to reach out to her to see where she was. Once Amy arrived and ate her breakfast.... (Yes she was late and I had to wait for her to eat) she finally started my head. I was getting boxed braids luckily two people worked on my head and had me out within 4 hours. My braids were beautiful nicely done and very neat. I liked my braids so much that I was willing to over look the crappy service and go back to them again. The second time I went to Amy braiding she was late again my appointment was at 8am she didnt show up until 8:20am. However she did have the courtesy to text me and let me know she would be late this time. Two different ladys did my hair this time one lady was skinny and had curly hair I hated her doing my hair she braided too hard and yanked my head every which way. Instead of adjusting my seat she pulled my head all over the place. The other lady that braided my head had short hair and had a baby with her. This lady did a good job on my head for the most part. However my braids didnt turn out as well as they did the first time. My braids are different sizes all over. My braids arent as neat as they were the first time. The end of my braids are raggedy you can tell where the hair was cut. I left with a headache and neck pains from the skinny lady pulling my head all over the place. My braids look disgusting you can tell where the more experienced woman braided my hair and where the other lady braided it. This second visit was a total waste of my time and money I will never go back.

Ive recently went to get myHair done at this shop for the first time & I payed $230 for box braids .. I haven’t even had them in for 2 weeks & they were falling out LEFT AND RIGHT.. they were loose & just not worth the money I paid for. I simple let Amy know that my hair was coming out & she proceeded to tell me my braids were coming out because I have “tender scalp”( not knowing I am a certified master stylist of 10+ years so that reason was ABSURD & made no sense ) . They talk about their paying customers amongst other clients in a different language (that i speak & they didn’t know I knew exactly what they were saying) just TOO MUCH ... This is the most unprofessional salon I’ve ever been to & I spend LOTS of money on my hair. I will NEVER go back ... She even tried to ARGUE with me when I came back to the salon so she could fix her mistakes..I wouldn’t recommend going to this salon if it was the last salon in Ga. I’m utterly disgusted with these people & it was a complete waste of $230.

I went to this place on yesterday. My appointment was @ 9. Amy and this girl arrived at 9:15. It was 10:00 before I got the first braid put in! Amy never told me that she wasnt going to braid my hair the other girl that came with her braided my hair. There were about 5 times during this girl braiding my hair I wanted to get up and walk out with an unfinished head. This girl was on the phone talking to people, arguing, using her hand expressing her self. I was thinking to myself lord just help me make it through this. This was going on the entire time she was braiding my hair. I really wanted to asked Amy why do you allow your employees to use there phone why there working on client hair. I think that is so rude! It would have been rude of me to sit on my phone and talk to everybody that called me while I was sitting there. It took me 8 hour to get some darn kinky twist. When I gotten it done before it only to 6 hr with one person on my head. My entire day was gone bc this girl was on the phone, talking talking to everybody, and eating. Braids turn out pretty good. But I want be using them any more. They have got to get more professional. By the way I was the first person there and the last one to leave.You know I was pist off

Amy’s hair braiding is really great especially kassie she’s really nice and she actually speaks with you while your getting your hair done and the shop in total is good and amazing

I rate them 3 stars because I scheduled an appointment for 9am. Amy and her friend showed up 20 mins late. But Amy did give me a courtesy call to let me know she was going to be late after 10 mins. The heavy set lady started on my hair for 3 hrs until she said she was hungry and wanted to eat breakfast but luckily the lady with the baby took her place and did a wonderful job even though my kinky twist sort of feel too tight to the scalp. Towards the end I was ready to pay with card. And she complain and argued me down that it was my fault I should of ask them if they take card or cash. In which I disagree because no one let me know when I walk into the store and there was no sign outside. They did a good job but horrible customer service. Will be my last time going to that salon.

Went in Feb said I wanted human hair they put fake hair in. And Amy acted like I didnt say I wanted real hair. Then I took seven hours for two people to do micros. One girl braided terrible. And two days later braids were coming un tied. I will never go back. They use the same dam comb on every person .shop not clean.

Very bad customer service terrible. Unfriendly, spoke in her language to her friend most of the time, which I find very very rude. Her friends didnt know what the hell she was doing because she kept asking amy how to do it. Took almost 6 hours for a 2 hour job. Couldnt even curl my hair afterwards, said the hair was already curled with its natural curl. I shouldve walked out then but i didnt. I decided to over look that and give her another chance but she tried to take advantage. Said she would charge me an outrageous amount for a short hairstyle, almost 200. Dont go here. Spend your money elsewhere!!!!!

I went in on saturday the staff is horrible they were talking about the other paying customers to amy and to make things worse her sister went out side to retrieve a comb amy had told her daughter to throw away i also stated that i wanted BOX BRAIDS AND THAT I DIDNT WANT THE LENGTH TO BE REAL LONG SHE DID THE TOTAL OPPOSITE I WILL NEVER GO BACK BE ADVISED BRING YOUR OWN COMB!!!!!!!

The girl that they had to.braid my hair could. Not braid she tryed to braid my hair for a sew in with under braids and they was lose and I had to tell her to stop and I left and went some where else and this was after I had already told her several times how I wanted my hair

This is the most absolute worst place I have been I went to get a sewin and the girl who was doing my hair asked me how I wanted it I told her I wanted the perimeter left out then she started to under braid my hair and I told her that I cant have them type of braids because if my hair was to get wet they would start to unravel so she asked do i want her to braid it regular and I said yes so now she starts to braid my hair regular and it felt like my 12yr old daughter was braiding my hair the braids was so loose then she asked me again how I wanted it to look so thats when I decided I had enough and just told her to just stop Amy ask me whats wrong and I told her she is not doing it right so she said if I wanted it braided tight then she can braid it tighter and I just told her I would go some where else because I shouldnt have to tell the beautician over and over how I wanted my hair and of course I wanted it tight this is a style that u wear for 1to4 months so I just left smh very unprofessional place they speak in there tounge the whole time which I feel is very rude I will never visit this place again

Went in early, they were late and it took them 20 mins to start when they got there. Me and another lady both got kinky twists. They started on our heads at the same time, but her head was finished in 4 hours and mine took 6. The shop is nasty, not a very good environment. My twists started falling out after the third day. They already look like they have been in For a month. Im not going back!

I got sineglease twist that would normally take 4 to 5 hours but there it took 7 hours. The lady with the baby didnt braid my hair tight and a twist came out on the 5th day.
