Disappointed that they got rid of fox and cbs. Football season is here and working out while watching the games was great on Sundays. Now only options are a variety of news channels. 2 stars for Sunday, rate more stars on any other day

Really enjoy my workouts. Everything seems to be clean and tidy.

I have been away from Planet Fitness for about 2 years and 2 years ago they had a problem with people sitting on the machines having a phone conversation or whatever. So I went back the other day to find that telephone conversations have to be taken to the lobby but people are still sitting on the machines doing whatever on their phones. I brought this to one of the employees that he was just sitting on the machine doing whatever in his phone and I asked her to please say something to him but she came up with one excuse after the other. So finally I said Jesus Christ and I I walked over there and asked him if he was done. He said he was just taking a break. I said when you do that on your phone like that youre holding up other members he apologized finished his set and got off the machine. What was so hard about that that the employee could not go over there and say something to that person.

Great staff and very well maintained. It’s probably the cleanest gym I’ve worked out in and I’ve been around the block. I have spinal issues so I have to be careful and the machines they have make for a safe and effective workout for someone like me. Hannah at the front desk is a wonderful asset to the property. She always has a smile and a sincere hello at 5 am. She is also an encyclopedia of fitness and nutritional knowledge.

I was asked to leave twice by the manager because I was asking reasonable questions. My sister had forgotten her card to check in and he was giving her a hard time about downloading the app. I asked what would they do if she was an elderly woman with no cell phone. He processed to say I can ask you to leave. Finally after 20 minutes or so he finally checked us in. As we were walking away to begin our work out, he approaches us to inform us this wasnt her first offense. I laughed and stated you have got to be kidding me He then again asked us to leave and we agreed but not until we canceled our membership. To say the least I have never been more disrespected by a manager before. We had then reached out to head quarter to inform them on what was going on in this club. So that this doesnt happen to anyone else and they have yet to get back to us.

I like it. Not overly crowded and you get a good workout

I totally understand the whole social distance thing. But I dont understand why they dont have their showers open. Isnt cleanliness the biggest factor in this whole covid-19 so wouldnt you want your patrons to get clean? Shouldnt you already have someone cleaning the locker rooms on like an hourly basis anyway? Theres always like four people just hanging around at the front desk why cant one of them man the bathrooms and clean the shower after use, its not like you would have to hire another person so cost cant be a factor and that person already works there so there wouldnt be an additional person in the building... So Im really wondering what would be the issue? Can someone explain that?

Horrible service!!!! I resent having paid any money to this fraud of a company. Having issues with COVID caused me to be unable to use my membership and when I tried to see if they could help with a refund for the multiple charges that were processed and they refused to help. They are rude and said there’s nothing I could do to get the refund. There’s no customer service to talk to only the people, definitely not customer service reps, at the unit and they won’t help. I tried to contact BBB and they aren’t affiliated with planet fitness. There’s literally nothing to do if you’re wronged and there’s no repercussions for the company in any regards. You are left completely in their hands with zero rights as a customer because you’re definitely not a guest. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had in my 41 years on this planet. I’ve never felt so screwed and helpless with any other situation let alone any other business. The people who work there don’t have any customer service skills and are smug as they tell you that you’re SOL. Will never ever ever do any business with them again and will be posting this everywhere I can. I will do whatever I can to save others this feeling of being taken advantage of. The worst experience I’ve ever had and hope this helps others not to get screwed like I did.

This is a wonderful Planet Fitness. I’ve never had a problem here. Even over the phone, professional and thorough.I go around 5:30AM, and despite COVID-19, I feel safe, and it makes me feel a little more normal.Give them a call, and check them out!!

Only thing that would make it better is if on a machine the mask wasnt mandatory... Considering every other machine is not in use I dont seem to see why masks are needed while on a machine

I love this Planet Fitness! As a Black Card member, I go to a few different Planet Fitnesss (by home, my boyfriends PF, by my parents house) and the Coventry Planet Fitness is by far the best! Perfect amount of equipment and its always clean. I love that this PF has the thick yoga/exercise mats too, that is a game changer! Not all Planet Fitnesss have them.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you to Jessie for helping me with my ankle and shoulder issues. I now walk up and down stairs normally again and sleep without pain.

The only thing I see wrong with this place is you have to wear a mask the whole time youre in there. It is so difficult to actually get a good workout in when youre trying to breathe through a mask.

I was very excited to learn that Planet Fitness Coventry was opening in Phase 2 after putting on the Covid 19. When I got there, I was surprised that there was no mandate on mask wearing at all. Some people wore them anyway while others, including myself did not. However, 3 weeks after opening, a sign was finally put up mandating masks while walking around the gym(similar to a dining experience, once at a machine or station, dont need to have the mask on) So I complied and started wearing my mask when appropriate.The problem is, even after this rule went up, there are still several members not wearing or even bringing a mask to the gym and are still allowed to work out! Some employees are not even wearing the mask the right way, putting it below their nose.Today while working out it was so blatantly ignored I was getting heated. But, I calmed myself down. Because it is not the customers fault. This gym tried to implement a rule 3 weeks after it should have been, so people arent taking it seriously. Ihave only seen one employee question people about their mask and I go at least 5 times a week. I asked the girl at the front desk today if there are any consequences for members not wearing a mask. She replied in so many words not really, the best we can do is ask them to put it on. I dont blame the employees either, most look like high schoolers and college age. But management needs to do something. In a gentle way, explain no mask, you cant work out. Like I said, its the owner and managements fault for putting in a rule very late and not training their employees how to address it. Ive heard grumblings from some patrons about people not wearing masks. Its at a simmer right now, but I would not be surprised if incidents happen in this gym over mask wearing. If you are auto immune or older, I would not recommend this gym at this time. Its too bad because before this, was one of the best gyms Ive been a member of.As a parallel just imagine if a teacher tried to implement a rule 3 weeks into the school year instead of the first day. How would those students react?? Some would follow, but many would ignore it. Please management dont give me the Sorry for your concern canned response, let me see results.

Planet Fitness is almost perfect and we really love everything about our membership. Everything except the Black Card pricing, because $21.99 per month seems a bit too high for the Black Card benefits. We have it now, and I know its meant to be somewhat exclusive but always seems completely empty, so the perception is that it is too expensive and would be much better utilized at maybe a $15-$18 price point? Also, a Family Package would be nice if offered, and my family would totally pay more to use a fitness pool (especially in the winter), if it was available as a membership option. Thanks for doing a great job overall!

Not a bad gym..very small compared to other gyms. A lot of waiting to use machines. Staff is great. The equipment us top of the line. Price wise it says 10bucks a month but thats not including their annual fee of 39$.

Extremely unprofessional staff. Denise and Nick believe they own the place. To enforce rules of the gym is one thing, but to pick on someone back to back is annoying. My wife has a black card and took out 14 year old son, and at the end took the hydro massage. Unaware that a guest cannot use it she allowed our son on it, and immediately was cut off. After speaking to them and asking and finding out the reason, she went back in and then the phone rang. To answer the call she stepped out, and our son was with her, but they turned it off again and claimed she kept violating rules. They have cameras and they could have checked. I called to ask what the issue was and Denise hung up and refused to answer the phone. Thats one way to lose customers. Called and got Nick on the phone who was better and could talk. But professional behavior is not their forte. The manager of the location is actually an awesome guy and I will meet with him personally. Way to go PF

The equipment is adequate to get the results most people are looking for, and it is state-of-the-art and new. The facility is very clean and the staff is friendly. All you need to provide is motivation and determination.

Every time i would go i would end up sick. Gym was dirty.Was told over the phone I needed to come in to cancel i did and memebership had already been canceled.Unorganized and unprofessional all around.

Price is great. It is always neat and attractive. Staff is nice, machines are readily available.

Not crowded and they are continually cleaning, spraying, and wiping down equipment throughout the day.

Location is perfect and feeling of comfortable ness unbelievable.

The staff is always friendly and the equipment and facilities are always clean. I also appreciate the updates being made to add extra space. As a person who does yoga, the additional areas for stretching are a welcome change.

Full equipped fitness centre. I love black card membership it is affirdable and motivation that you can go with a guest and use fitness facilities. Big working out space & plus parking. Staff on duty always helpful. Kudos to him.

It was a convenient gym option when all I wanted was a treadmill in the winter, close to home. But their weight lifting section is small and the gym is small in general. I just prefer the atmosphere of the larger gyms, but PF was always clean and the staff were friendly.

Good gym. Im a member. I like it there. Well maintained and clean. Free WiFi is great. Massage equipment available. Locker room is newly renovated and very nice. Its typically very busy. One point for improvement there is no traditional bench for free weights. I dont like using a squat rack for benching. Other wise its a good gym

Really nice place. Shame they dont think about the hearing impaired, or people who only own Bluetooth headphones, or people who arent on one of the cardio machines, when it comes to their televisions. Maybe they could turn their closed captioning on

The Coventry Planet Fitness is great for every fitness level. From everyday cardio machines to resistance workout machines and free weights to a TRX workout room where people can do CrossFit type moves, this gym has something for everyone. The newly expanded space also provides a lot of areas for stretching or doing yoga. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the facility is always very clean. I have been working out here for many years and, even though I have the black card option, which allows me to access other Planet Fitness in the area, this is the one that I always choose over the others. Its a pleasant, comfortable and friendly environment to be in while exercising AND the bike path is located directly behind the building so it is easy to incorporate outdoor workout activities as well.

Nice new equipment , however we need the flat benches back ,could not workout because of all benches were used .There are only few of them and they are inclining ones ,I dont want to change location ,nice staff close location .

What a joke, poorly managed, poorly staffed with the exception of Jose on weekends, he is great! Its a shame when 2 older gentlemen are laughing and enjoying their work out that the staff would file a complaint against them for being to loud. Get a grip on what being loud, rude or disruptive is and look at your own staff...... Hope this place is fined by corp or shut down.

Entered this Planet Fitness and opened a membership; enjoyed a great workout. Returned in the morning and was told that I already had an account; the account which I mentioned to the person who opened my new account. Apparently my old account was never cancelled out and i had been charged for 2 years. Now I remember walking in and canceling my account; I already opened a new account. Rather than offer me a solution, the manager decides that she will look past it but if there are any issues with my bank account I will then be responsible for two years of payments. I said, no thank you, two years of payments of which I never entered the gym.Now, they have my phone number on file and could have called me, but no. Also, my e-mail address where I would have received the cancellation receipt, the same e-mail that I still have today was entered incorrectly into the system. Somehow they are confused as to why they dont have my paperwork and my account wasnt cancelled properly. I think it is pretty clear.

I went there for a tour of the facility and was denied a tour becuase the lady at front said she couldnt leave the front and to come back later for a tour. she would not allow me to look around the facility . i believe i was being judged in a judgment free zone

Been constructing for the past 5 months, Free Wifi is always down, only cardio equipment set to watch tv is treadmill or elliptical. Understanding and accommodating staff given the circumstances.
