Five days ago we moved my mother into her apartment. She had been living with family prior to the move. We were concerned that she would be unhappy. We were so wrong! She has been extremely happy and loves the food and friends she has made. She is always telling us how nice everyone is. When we visit she acts like she cant wait for us to leave. I wish we would have done this years ago. She is so much happier than when she lived with me or my sister. Thank you Canyon Creek for making all of our lives better, especially hers. It is great to see my mother happy again!!

When my mother was living there it was horrible. When we just went there for the consultation all they did was lie. Their care for their residence is unbelievably sad! They’re understaffed. When I moved my mother out at the end of the month in April they turned around May 1 and took her May rent. It took six weeks to get that back. And then it took several months to get the money back that they owed her. I highly recommend don’t ever take your love ones there! Sincerely Cindy Mackert

We moved our loved one into Canyon Creek and have been so happy we did! We have been welcomed by staff, family, and residents. Our family has grown immensely! We are so pleased with the care givers who truly love what they do and it shows. We know that our parent is well taken care of whether it is care givers, the food, or even being active and having the social time with new friends. We love sitting by the creek or barbecuing in the courtyard. If we ever want to take our parent out we just go right across the street for eating and shopping. We are so grateful to the staff at Canyon Creek! Thank you for all you do.

The memory care in this place is depressing, neither the MC coordinator nor the aides understand respect nor dignity.They have no experience , no training in dementia . They hire inexperienced, sometimes not certified CNAsThey walk in front of the resident on their phone while they trail behind them like dogs, never mind fall risks.MC coordinator has repeatedly ignored reports of abuse and roughness from one his aides, yet nothing has been done in 2 years- bruising, falls, roughness, , physical restraint , neglect ; all ignored , depsite numerous complaints and documentation.THe new director in charge is doing an amazing job and cleaning this place up, and i hope he is able to help these residents who are at their power.If you want a MC coordinator who take shirtless selfies in the work bathroom on shift, and ignores abuse, CC mc is your place.

Canyon Creek Assisted Living is Excellent! it is a very friendly staffed facility-all employees are very nice and always willing to help out-you are greeted warmly when you walk in the door. The facility is clean, and nicely furnished. The dining room is beautiful and the meals are delicious. They have games, entertainment and great programming. They are also very willing to come into the community and participate in games and other activities that benefit the surrounding senior centers. We highly recommend that you go and tour Canyon Creek you will be amazed and very pleased!

I’m lucky that I get to witness and participate in the great care that all the residents receive. This facility’s staff truly care and love each resident! The facility is beautiful and clean, the food is amazing, and the fun events and daily activities create a healthy and fun environment. I seriously can’t wait until in old enough to live here!😁😘

We put my wife’s mother in Canyon Creek in June of 2014.We had to make a fast decision and brought her up from Mesquite on a Sunday evening.Canyon Creek made all of the arrangements for admittance.The CARE is great, every need was met with above average care.The staff only needs to see you a couple of times before you are on a first name basis.The staff and facility went above and beyond what was expected or required.We would recommend Canyon Creek as a great place for assisted living.Bob & Shirley Peterson

We recently had a wonderful tour of this beautiful facility and the surrounding grounds. Clean, modern, very well-maintained and smells clean and fresh throughout the building. Ryan Walton was so kind and made an excellent tour guide. Highly recommended!

I work with a hospice company that has been coordinating patient care with Canyon Creek for many years. The team at Canyon Creek is absolutely wonderful! Their love and care for the residents is apparent in all that they do, from their annual rock and roll event to the extra visits they do when our patients are having bad days. If my sweet Grandma is ever in need of assisted living, I will be calling Jeanette directly!

I worked for Canyon Creek as a server for two years. Please do not put your family members in the care of the staff. I know from experience and have seen first hand how off the staff is. Most of the current staff in ALL DEPARTMENTS has been hired in the past month. This is because of the new Executive Director. She is the least personable person Ive ever met and by far the worst person Ive ever worked for. I cant speak for other departments but the state of the kitchen is abysmal to say the least. I would defiantly consider calling the health department before eating there. I can vouch that they have not had an inspection in more then 6 months and it shows!!! None of the employees really care nor do their supervisors and the environment and quality of product really reflects this. Please take your family somewhere else!

Describe your experienceI had the opportunity to tour this facility in December, while looking for nice, clean, caring environment for my parents.Miss Megan Leishman gave us the tour. She was very knowledgeable, pleasant and bubbly. She explained all of the amenities, costs, insurance; she was able to answer all of our questions. She did not make us feel rushed, or feel as if we were intruding on her time. It was a very nice experience.I would, and have, recommended to many of my friends that when they are in this type of situation with a parent, or parents, they definitely need to check out the Canyon Creek facility.

I am currently the administrator for a local hospice organization and I have had the pleasure of working with the staff at Canyon Creek for the past 8 years. In this time, I have noticed the staff to be attentive and incredibly kind towards their residents. The management is driven by patient care and concerns and always does their best to accommodate personal preference. They have several RNs on staff which is not typical of this level of care facility. It further emphasizes that their main priority is resident care. I would and do highly recommend Canyon Creek.

My mother has been at Canyon Creek for a year and a half. She is very happy there and one of the main reasons is Jeanette, who truly makes a point of getting to know each and every resident personally. Jeanette goes above and beyond to try to meet the needs and desires of the residents, so in my opinion, she is the glue that holds this facility together. I did visit 2 other places before choosing Canyon Creek but chose CC because of the recommendations of 2 of my friends who had relatives there previously. One of the practices I especially like is that they put a new resident at a table with other residents who are on the same level of independence, and this makes conversation easier and creates a bond of friendship that makes being new so much easier. My mother is very shy and it would have been very difficult for her to go to the dining room alone and blindly approach tables and try to find a group where she would have been welcomed and happy. I would definitely recommend Canyon Creek to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

I love Canyon Creek! Not only am I a former employee, but I continue to refer patients to them when they are no longer safe in their private homes. I use to work for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and I compare Canyon Creek, to the Ritz-Carlton of assisted living facilities. The staff goes above and beyond for their residents. I would recommend this senior community to anyone.

Great people who takes care of residents like they are apart of their own family and has a great activity program for residents that needs to be transitioned from Assisted Living to Memory Care.

This place in excellent when compared to other facilities. Negative comments from others have likely not been to or worked at other facilities. I have visited several other assisted living facilities that have literally half the staff, or less, that this facility has. Occasionally things will slip through the cracks, like with anything in life, but no facility is perfect. When I visit my mother, there are always plenty of friedly staff that are ALWAYS willing to assist. The activities coordinator is AMAZING, where she actively plans lots of activities, outings, etc., and personally is invested in getting the residents involved. Administration is always open to feedback, good or bad, and actively strives to improve any issues that arise. The food is very good, and sometimes even great! My mother is very happy here and is thriving since shes moved here from an independent senior appartment complex.

My Father was at canyon for 9 months. He enjoyed the friends he made there. The caring CNAs and aids at canyon creek were amazing and wonderful to my dad and also our family. The staff were friendly and created a safe friendly happy healthy environment. I would highly recommend any one needing a living assistant home to see for them selfs how great this place is. My daughter and I looked for weeks around the salt lake area for the perfect place, that would take the best care of my father and it was by far the best. My father has since passed away and as I drive by I have nothing but good memories there. I saw my father daily and spent a lot of time there. I got to know the staff and aids on a personal level and they are truly wonderful. We feel blessed to have found Canyon Creek.

I had the best experience at a Canyon Creek resident field trip the other day at Hollywood Connection. We had the most wonderful time put-put golfing and riding the carousel with the residents. The pizza party in the Hollywood Café was the highlight where one of the residents showed us all how to blow the paper off of straws and we sang along with the juke box to nostalgic songs. Two thumbs up for Canyon Creek and their wonderful staff. Thank you from all of us and thank you for all the wonderful care you give.

They are classified as assisted living which means no resident should be more than a 1 person assist. They will take in just about anyone to fill the rooms and make money even if it puts their staff and residents in danger. Graveyards only have 2 people working and they allowed a 3 person assist when I was there. Multiple injuries were reported. Dont be fooled by the tour, they pour all their money into redecorating the dining room and recarpeting and put none of it towards paying decent wages or hiring enough people to cover the care needed for the residents they take in.

Great Staff very friendly. Lunch was great. Ryan was wonderful on our tour.

New director is making nice changes, staff is caring, but busy which can be frustrating.

I worked there for over a month and was treated terribly by all the cnas and the management as well as bullied by the employees and when I told the boss she didnt seem to care. They are always under staffed and they over work their employees all the time. I felt like I was always being blamed for things that werent my fault and being scolded for things I didnt do. I got so fed up with it and heard I was going to be let go I was livid. I already planned to quit so I just went ahead and did. People do not take your family members here. Your family members are waiting forever due to the fact that they do not staff enough cnas ever.

This place sucks! I don’t recommend put your family members in here or even working here! Management sucks here! Tyler seems like he really only cares about the money and misty is a little annoying! The CNAs are all very rude! This is by far the worst place! On the website they say they have a pool? Well I didn’t see one and my father loves swimming.lets just say sunrise is way better!

They have been great working with all of the family and the care that is needed. Would Definitely recommend, great staff.

I have a family member who lives at Canyon Creek, and has for awhile, and I can honestly say that I love it. I trust the employees to care for my family and I always can count on them to let me know when something happens or needs attention. The CNAs and managers all know my name and that of my family members. I dont feel like a client and my parent does not feel like a patient or room number. It feels more like they are part of a huge family that all reside at Canyon Creek.Whenever I meet with the CNA supervisor for regular check ins, he is always so friendly and actually listens to me. The few minor issues I have ever brought up he makes a priority. You can truly tell that him and his staff care about the people living there. There have also been times that I have called him on his personal phone during his days off, or after he goes home for the day, due to needing information on my parent, and he actually answers and helps me. No one does that anymore!It seems like there are always activities and things to do to keep everyone living there active and social. My parents room and clothes are always clean and they never have any complaints. If I ever do need assistance helping my parent out of the room for example, there is always a CNA around happy to help. If I call them ahead of time when Im picking my family up, the employees always have them dressed, fed and ready to go by the time I get there.All the other managers are always smiling and say hello to me and I just cant explain enough how nice it is to know that your parent is in a place being taken care of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.I have read some of the low scoring reviews and honestly to me it sounds like a bunch of disgruntled employees. Every now and then I would walk by a CNA who was not smiling or helping and Im sure those are the employees that can always find something bad to say, while writing a review with plenty of grammatical errors and misspellings.I would highly recommend taking your loved ones here. The employees work hard, the managers truly care, the residents always seem happy and I have been coming here long enough to be able to say that with back up.

This facility has a wonderful staff and they really care about their residents

I have been treated exstremely rude by the management especially the male management speaking down towards me and acting annoyed to let me in and out of the locked part of the facility to deliver oxygen to a patient. The employees in general are very kind it has only been upper management that has been rude and seem out of touch with humanity and showing manners with general kindness toward others.

Great staff, all the patients seem to be very well cared for.

I go in assisted living facilities every day. This is a great community with excellent caring staff and amenities.
