My experience at the Duck House was nothing short of a 5 star . I want to personally thank Laura, for not giving up on me when I was being very difficult to get out there. The whole staff was great and they actually care about the clients versus just being in it for the money. I felt comfortable the whole time I was there and it made being away from my family as least painful as possible. The groups and counseling session were very helpful and group topics were decided based on our group needs. Overall was very pleased with the whole experience. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs there help.

There isn’t words to describe how grateful I am to have found the duck house. Like most I was very reluctant to seek help but once I was able to make the call Laura guided me through the steps and took a personal interest, like she does with every client, to make sure that she could do everything possible to help me and answer all of my questions. Once there the staff was nothing short of amazing and it was clear that they weren’t just doing a job, they were willing and would do anything to help me succeed in my journey. I’m happy to say that after completing the program I left not only with the tools for recovery but staff and other clients like myself that I now consider family.

Have not experienced their services at this place of business. But as an individual having this business in my residential area is disastrous! Ambulances and Firetrucks at all hours of the day! People knocking on my door at all hours of the night. Their workers taking up all the residential parking at all our homes. And when we bring this up to them, they are very aggressive with us telling us that it is public parking and they can park wherever they want! Well that is not true. This is residential property and not public business parking which is what this place is, a business. So find some place else for all your employees to park, like the business parking across the street! This place is an absolute nightmare from a residential stand point. Completely unacceptable and so upsetting. This place must go!

I’m leaving a review on behalf of my 21 year old son who came to do the 8 day detox from F. He left 24 hours later because he’s simply not ready and this was his first experience with ever trying to get clean. The main reason I wanted to leave this review is because Laura and Ashley. These two women have so much heart and are so compassionate and genuinely want to help people have a new life in sobering and recovery.I would say that if your truly ready to surrender and get help then the duck house detox is an amazing place to start to build your foundation on your path to recovery. If your sick and tired of being sick and tired and you want help, Laura and Ashley will help you and truly put their all into it.I’m heartbroken that my son didn’t stay and isn’t ready to accept the help but I’m also so happy that this place exists. As a person in recovery as of 7/29/03 I would definitely recommend the duck house 100%. Thank you Laura and Ashley for doing everything you could to help my son and God willing when he’s ready to help himself I hope and pray he will come back.

This place is a God send!!!!! If you are looking for a rehab please take my advice n go to this one please. The staff there are excellent, theyre actually in it for helping people n not a paycheck. (I love the Duck House) After coming from a different rehab experience that felt so fake and so disconnected...I was so relieved to find a place that felt so much like home. It takes YOUR motivation to change but they were always there when I was down, they were always there when things got tough, and they never hesitated to listen to me when I needed it the most. Next time you see me it will be for a panel and not for my addiction. Duck house don’t forget that you helped me grow into the person I was supposed to be and I thank you so much. I went to detox at the Duck House recently and I have to say I was very impressed! They literally treat you like you are family! Never once did they make me feel ashamed of my situation and really reached out to make sure I was okay and getting the proper care! I would highly suggest this detox to anyone! I feel blessed to be able to have landed somewhere so safe while I went through this tough time!!! I look forward to continuing staying in contact with them and have the support they have given me!

The Duck House has SAVED my life twice now. They are a great program. With a staff that shows a personal interest in their clients and some of the staff checked on me when I was out there!! The COO, and program director made sure I stayed on the right path after I left. And I didn’t feel like I did something wrong coming back my second time. I walked in completely broken and shattered after more than ten years of self-destructing myself physically, emotionally, mentally. I had literally been stuck in a sick and vicious cycle lasting over a decade, and it had absolutely depleted me inside and out.This is also a warning to those of you seeking treatment. Rehab centers, are in my opinion - which Ive formulated based on personal experiences, research, and from the experiences of other addicts Ive met - basic money mills. You MUST be vigilant in your research, and youve happened to stumble upon this review, I strongly recommend you to stop looking elsewhere.There are going to be more luxurious resort like rehab centers that may appear more appealing, or treatment programs that may offer certain amenities the Duck House may not. This is a business, after all.But I can 100% promise the following - Youll find a staff comprised of people who genuinely care for you as a human being, that each and every one of them would take the shirt off his or her back for you. From the newest hire to the COO, every single person at this facility will go above and beyond to ensure you have whatever it is you need to help you at every single hour of every day.It goes without saying that the road to recovery from our addictions is going to be the single most difficult and intimidating experience that only we as addicts know to be. I refuse to sugar coat it.Whatever it is youre running from - it will stop here. You will find hope here. You will find happiness and joy here. This place saved my life. I will never forget the duck house. Everybody is dedicated to your recovery. They have amazing groups and is a place to be grateful for. Fun fact They have a pool with an awesome duck float too! But People there keep in contact and love you til you can love yourself again. I love y’all. This place changed my families life. From an experienced staff that make you feel welcomed. To the amazing group therapies from CBT to holistic they have something for everyone. They have incredible case managers who will help you with all if the issues you have so that the transition back to the world isnt overwhelming.

The Duck House gave me the foundation and strength to pick myself up after the disastrous year known as 2020. The staff are patient and helpful, a lot with their own personal experiences that are relatable, so no one feels out-of-place. The house was always clean and relaxing, just wish I went sooner so I could have enjoyed the pool. I would say Id like to go back, but hopefully I never have to (and I would owe it to them)

I went through detox and also spent 3 weeks in residential! The Duck House was very accommodating and provided a comfortable environment in the most important stages of my recovery! The staff was the best part of my experience and provided the help I needed in my toughest times. It helped me build a solid foundation and set me up to continue my path of recovery.

If i could give 100 stars i would. This is the best program out there. I highly recomend. It changed my life. Not only did they help me get clean but they also taught me the basics on how to handle certain life situations where no one has ever thought me that to build the stable foundation i needed in my life. They welcome everyone with open arms and Ive truly found my real family here. There was staff 24/7. Genuine, authentic people who truly care for the well being of others. My second week in i was ready to leave due to some circumstances happening in the real world but a staff member had me realize that the longer i stay the better chances i have at staying sober. Everyday i learned something new and everyday i let go of old habits that never served me well. They truly had my best interest at hand. In march someone very close to me passed away, just another victim of the vicious never ending cycle of addiction and during my stay, fathers day came around and i made a special request for our daughters to be able to celebrate their desead dads fathers day. Never did they say no and were very accepting and understanding of the situation. Truly a place i will never forget. And a gesture that will live in mine and my daughters heart forever. So to anyone that is chained to this rhythm of a never ending cycle, i tell YOU theres HOPE and The Duck House!! To help you make that first step to a better you for they rest of your life. Someone said Your life is waiting for you so what stoping you. What are you waiting for? Addiction is giving up everything for one thing. Sobriety is giving up one thing for everything!!! Take the risk!

Im not sure if I would be alive without The Duck House, coming to california was scary and I was out of options. They gave me the opportunity to grow in a safe environment and get connections with the sober community that I still have today a year and a half later. Thank god for the kind and loving people here who showed me the way into recovery.

At the duck house i was welcomed as family. After being treated like a criminal for being a drug addict it was amuch welcomed experience. Laura has been helpful from beginning to end and after my husband came home. They took care of transportation for him from Oklahoma to California and back. The admissions process was easy and they got him in quickly. From what my husband tells me, some of the field trips were a little unorganized, and sometimes a lack of communication. But overall a great experience and a very nice facility. The staff is genuine and cares about you being successful

The duck house detox is one of very few honestly ran places here in Orange County. I have been to several detoxes over the past few years and the duck house was the one place where I felt comfortable and trusted the people that work there. Everyone of the staff members there made a significant impact in my life and in my drive the want to stay sober... I wish I could say I’ve stayed sober since I was there but the things I learned and experienced at the duck house stayed in the back of my head and those are the things I remembered when getting sober again... I would recommend this detox to anyone I know that’s trying to beat the demon we all face... After having one of the roughest years of my life I was beginning to think that getting clean and sober again was futile. I couldn’t seem to make it 3 days in a facility before leaving. Ashley and the medical staff worked with me and came up with a detox protocol that worked for me when I thought the situation was hopeless. The staff at the Duck House were ALL supportive from top to bottom and I couldn’t thank them enough for their support. They are willing to love you even when you’re incapable of loving yourself. They know what us addicts and alcoholics are going through because they’ve been through it themselves. This program is truly the last of a dying breed. A place that isn’t focused how the money or how much your insurance policy pays out, but that you feel welcome, loved, and comfortable. Amazing treatment center with amazing staff that truly care about their clients and their sobriety. I currently have 54 days clean and I have been to other centers, and this is the only place Ive been where I felt like it really worked for me. I wouldnt trade my experience here for to the world. The houses are amazing, clean, and very well equipped with everything you need. The program is top notch and helped me in so many ways. I highly recommend this treatment center if youre ready to change your life.

The Duck House was the best place I could have ended up on my leap into recovery. I was a hot mess in a dozen different ways when I got on the plane to come 2000 miles away from everything I had ever known. Not only do I have almost a month of sobriety after 17 years in my addictions, I have hope and excitement for my future along with a bond with the amazing staff who helped me through the toughest part of my journey. The staff is more than just a staff, they truly care about your sobriety over anything else and I’ll always call the Duck House my first home in my new life. I honestly don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t gone to The Duck House. I’ve been to a few treatment centers, but this one was different. You can tell they put their hearts into the work they do at The Duck House. I was an IV heroin user for 10 years. I never EVER thought I’d make it out of that darkness, but with the help of my clinical team, medical team, and support staff by the time I was ready for the next phase of treatment I was actually able to start believing that real, long term sobriety was possible. My case manager was so diligent and so energetic and patient with me. They always had awesome outings and neat activities in house during residential. And lastly, they really took the time to help me coordinate an aftercare plan that met all my needs. I just love The Duck House and all they’ve done for me. I’m forever thankful. LIFE CHANGING.
