Worst doctor visit ever!! He didnt even care to look at my file or anything before he walked in the room to talk to me. His first words were I dont even know why Im here youre wasting money! He was rude he assumed that I just went to a back surgeon because I had a hurt back. Again he did nothing of looking at mine files to see what happened I had it back injury and two outs yes. I will never go see this person

Friendly staff. They got me in EARLY. Both surgeons spoke to me and had expert advice. Well done

My name is Dave and Doctor Noonan did surgery on me last week. He did a great job and gave me relief. Its only been a week but their staff is nice and for me was good about answering questions. Ive never had surgery before and found the experience to be better than expected. You should check them out if you have the need... So far so good.

Do yourself a favor and seek out Dr Hatchette at the Salem Spine Center. The Sumaritan Neurosurgery center is completely disorganized my first appointment was rescheduled because the PA I was scheduled was stuck in surgery which is fine people are busy. When I arrived for my second appointment I was the only patient in the waiting room and was told the PA was again stuck in surgery so I could reschedule or wait. I waited for over an hour during which the waiting room filled up with mostly older patients that needed help getting around. Why would I trust and organization to perform delicate surgery when they can’t even get organized. When I finally was able to meet with the PA it was a very hurried visit and obvious that he had not even peeked at my MRI ahead of time. The visit was filled with statements like I don’t see anything that needs emergency surgery and I don’t want to cut on you without getting a nerve test. Excuse me I don’t see anything credentials that would suggest that a PA would be performing surgery on me. I left without ever seeing an actual doctor or specialist . My next appointment was with Dr Hatchette at the Salem Spine center. Night and day. The office staff is very professional and Efficient. My entire vist occurred right on time to the minute. The nurse kept me informed of what would happen next and when. I met with the PA for a short visit where we reviewed my MRI and nerve test and did a quick nerve test Then Dr Hatchette came in and immediately started talking to me about my MRI and what his recommendations were for surgery. It was obvious that he had actually reviewed my data ahead of the visit and had prepared. Dr Hatchette stayed in the room until I was satisfied that he has answered all of my questions instead of hurrying me out of the office like I was taking up his valuable time like the PA in Corvallis. I am now in the process of scheduling surgery with Dr Hatchette instead of a surgeon whom I have never met.

Purposely avoid this center at all costs, unless you enjoy paying premium for no services rendered.

***UPDATE*** we saw a different neurosurgeon in Eugene. He (Dr. Sherman, Keiperspine) looked at the exact same MRI results as doctor Noonan and was able to diagnose and schedule surgery 1 month later. Not helpful, not empathetic, short-condescending answers/responses, poor bed side manner. Dr. Noonanwas highly recommended by a close colleague and he basically told my husband that he was making up the pain and there was no reason why my husband can barely walk and is bed ridden. We will be seeing another surgeon ASAP. Waste of money and time. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Please seek care elsewhere

If you want a doctor that thinks Thoracic Outlet Syndrome actually occurs in the thorax go to Dr. Abrams. I’d give zero stars but that’s not an option

After a trip to the Emergency Room in Stayton Oregon I was immediately referred to a Neuro Surgeon at this location. That Doctor informed me that my condition was outside the scope of what she could handle while at the same time on the phone with a Neuro Surgeon in Portland who specializes in my particular issue. Im a 35 year old Iraq War Veteran with traumatic brain injury and a recently discovered genetic brain vascular disorder. The Doctor informed me that they would put in the referral immediately for me to see this other Neuro Surgeon in Portland. That DID NOT HAPPEN. Nearly three weeks later I still do not have an appointment nor has the office in Portland received the referral. To verify that the referral had been submitted i called the VA referrals office. They stated, No referral has been submitted. My primary care physician was even fed up with the incompetence at this office after several requests to receive my chart, so that he himself could submit the referral. They have still yet to do so. The same day i was there for my appointment a currently serving veteran was at that office requesting his records from them due to again, their incompetence. I have it on cell phone video because i thought the guy was going to lose it in there. Now I understand why he was so angry. Lastly, I was sent to their office under a VA Referral and authorization number. They instead, decided to bill my personal insurance after being told several times NOT TO. Wow. Just wow. If you have any choice at all, I would go somewhere else. While the Doctor herself was knowledgeable and helpful, her staff are HORRIBLE.*UPDATEJust received a bill for services when I was there on a VA Referral. Wow...
