To sum Dr. Bakers work up in one word- WOW! Im helping write this review for both my parents, who had a fair amount of dental work done with Dr. Baker. Both spoke volumes of his compassion and care for them, but I had to help do this when I saw the results! The veneers changed my moms smile and life- I have never seen her smile so much :DMy dad needed dentures, and he said they feel perfect. I am going to see Dr. Baker for veneers for myself after seeing how amazing his work is! Thank you so much from my parents, and I look forward to meeting you soon!

Overall a pleasant experience. I was a bit concerned because the assistant Dentist was confused about what we were doing. She would not relay additional information to the dentist after I had talked to her so I had to tell the dentist myself. Besides that, they were nice, and the lady that cleaned my teeth was very fun to talk to, and seemed to care about my questions and opinions.

Im a super anxious person especially when getting dental work. I recently had to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled and I couldnt stop shaking and ended up crying at one point. The dentist and dental assistant were extremely kind and patient with me. They reassured me and kept asking if I was comfortable to keep going. I wasnt in any sort of pain but anxiety is hard to overcome physically even if your mentality prepared. Their kindness and reassured helped me a lot in getting through it. They made it fast and painless and answered all my questions.

I have always looked into publicly available information as well as word of mouth to find the best dentists in the areas I have lived in, even going out of town to visit preferred dentists. Dr Baker is tops in many regards. He is proficient and updated in his knowledge, and most of all he is personable, which makes a big difference, especially when one is going in for dental procedures that are new or concerning. I have recommended him to my patients and others who in turn come back and also recommend him. I am happy to answer any questions. I have no affiliation whatsoever beyond being a patient of Dr Bakers and his compassionate staff.Renee Edwards, nurse practitioner.

My first appointment at Advantage was for an emergency filling. Ive been back twice since then, always seen by Dr. Samia Hassouneh, and shes filled two cavities.Ive had many cavities filled over my life, by many different dentists. Most dentists Ive been to try to drill and fill as fast as possible, which has at times resulted in fillings coming loose. This doesnt seem to be the case with Advantage.I think its reasonable to describe Dr. Hassouneh as an artisan. This is the first time Ive had this procedure done in such a way where I could tell that the dentist was truly concentrating on the quality, and ensuring the longevity, of her work.It was the same experience for both procedures, so it wasnt just a matter of catching her on a good day.

So the thought of sitting in a dentist chair really gets my anxiety going. I have ptsd and I will avoid everything that I think will trigger a flashback sensation. Dentists office can have many different sounds that tend to startle me. But I decided to go in and see Dr. Bryan Baker and his team. Right away without even knowing I had fears, they made me feel comfortable. They have actual patient rooms. So you’re not all sitting next to each other with panels in between you. I asked if I could keep the ex ray cover and the dark glasses on me for the entire time in the chair. It tends to give me comfort. Almost like a weighted blanket would. And they were just fine with that. His assistant was very kind and explained everything so well. And Dr.Baker is a very gentle dentist and I noticed he always told me his next move so I was aware. And he didn’t even know of my ptsd. I felt so comfortable being there ( weird but true 😀), that I’ve decided to get some much needed work on some teeth. No more putting off the health of my teeth because of my anxiety and ptsd. Finally a place that I feel safe walking into. I’m writing this review because like many of you I too have avoided going to the dentist until I was in agonizing pain. Now instead of waiting too long and having no choice to go in and it costs thousands. I will be catching things earlier and getting them treated. And eventually I will just be going in for yearly checks and cleanings. So if you’re on the fence about which dentist to go to because of fear. Advantage Dental in Corvallis with Dr.Bryan Baker and his team is the place to go. Makes me happy that companies like them are taking the time to make us feel comfortable.

I was hesitant to come here because there seemed to be an even mix of 1-star and 5-star reviews, but I decided to come anyways. I definitely had a 1-star experience.I had high hopes because the receptionist I spoke too was nice and treated me with respect, but I cannot say the same about anyone else I interacted with. The x-ray tech seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. I have a smaller mouth so I cant open it very wide no matter how hard I try. This on top of them having to retry the x-rays several times made them quite frustrated to the point they blamed it all on me without them outright saying it.I should also mention Ive had several dentists in the past tell me I have periodontitis. When I told the dentist this all they did was brush it off, despite examining my teeth and the fact that my x-rays looked exactly like someone who has periodontitis. I say examining because they just poked around and scraped at my teeth without following it up with anything, and on top of that they made me bleed even though I brush and floss daily. They didnt even remove it from my mouth, leaving me to have to disgustingly swallow. Yeah.I also had some additional concerns about how a couple of my teeth looked. I asked the dentist after the exam about them and she told me she wouldnt tell me right now and that theyd get around to it later. Why? You are a dentist, arent you? What was the point of this exam if you gathered no information from it, despite there being something obviously wrong my teeth?Perhaps the worst part of it was that both medical professionals who helped me showed me no respect, ignoring all my concerns and treating me like a child. I wouldnt even say they treated me like a child because a good dentist would still show a child respect. The last thing was that when they scheduled me again the soonest theyd offer me is three weeks from now. When I established care they tried making my initial appointment in a month. When I specified Ive been told I have periodontitis they were able to suddenly schedule me for two weeks from then, despite me asking if they had anything sooner beforehand. I should have taken this as a red flag to stay away. On top of long wait times between appointments, they also lied to me.To all the people who came here or are thinking of coming here because you have OHP and have no other options: Im sorry. Im sorry the government healthcare system has failed you and assigned you a place that doesnt have your best interests in mind. Since I only saw one x-ray tech and one dentist I cannot say that everyone here is bad, but since you cannot choose which people you get I cannot recommend this place to anyone at anytime.

Fantastic experience with the quality of my dental work. They fixed problems that previous had left behind. When they did make an error, they didn’t charge me for the care to fix it. All of my experiences in the chair have been thorough and skillful. My interactions with the front desk staff have been great until this year. Difficult to get them on the phone (on hold for long periods of time) and recently had a receptionist be very rude to me. It had been a month since my crown was ordered so I was skeptical that it wasn’t in yet. When I called, she very rudely let me know that “we normally call when your crown comes in, but I guess I can look around”. When she got back on the phone she told me they mislabelled my crown, so it actually was in. She quickly told me when my appointment was going to be without asking for my availability. I had to request a different appointment quickly because she was about to get me off the line before I could say anything. If my hunch is correct, it’s the same person who was very scattered today at the desk. This last part is picky, but they let me walk out of the office with blood smeared on my face. Didn’t see it until I looked in a glass window outside. I get being behind and trying to get the last patient in, but have some customer care!

Went in today to see if I could get a tooth capped that should have been done over five years ago. Got an x ray of the tooth, a physical inspection and the dentist told me that it would need to be extracted, which I suspected. I was offered a referral to a lower priced dental surgeon in Eugene instead of one far more expensive closer to home.Having a pronounced case of PTSD, I liked the efficient, quiet way the work was done. The dentist cared if I was in pain and offered numbing if I needed it. I got the filling redone so that I can eat until the tooth is taken care of. He was cautious but did not react badly to my physical flinches.Downside, their initial paperwork is terrible. It needs not only to be restructured, but also provided in an electronic submission format. The physical paperwork itself has tiny areas to write in which is very difficult to deal with.Advantage Dental took my Oregon Health Plan with no questions and the filling, x ray and referral were all covered. While there was very little personable service and absolutely no extraneous discussion, I am very happy that the work took a minimum of time and the personnel were careful to offer me plenty of options for my dental care.

I have a near-phobia of dental work. I went for about 5 years after my last traumatic experience as a young person before I started seeing a dentist twice a year. I kept this habit for 5 years as I had a skilled and sympathetic dentist and support staff. However when I moved, I couldnt bring myself to start all over. Sadly, much too much time passed before I settled on this office. My first visit was a complete and thorough exam. It was quick, and efficient. Two worked together. I was impressed by the technology being used to map and tag my teeth. My second visit was a cleaning. The hygienist was pleasant but not talkative - just like I like. The cleaning was a bit painful, but I attribute that to the measures she had to take to bring me up to snuff.I sit and wait for my third and final appointment which is a filling. I have butterflies, but my experiences thus far give me confidence all will be okay. The offices are all clean and well appointed. Staff are courteous, but not chatty (which I consider a bonus).

I don’t even know where begin. I’ve had so many issues with this place. Went to appointments after getting confirmation voicemails, got told no appointments (we live out of town too). Not good with anxiety patients, why ask if there’s known issues if they don’t acknowledge them, especially for kids.Never have an appointment in close time. Call us to reschedule for many reasons (someone quit, new provider, vacation....), tell us we don’t have appointments when I’ve double confirmed to make sure because I know they do this.My personal fave....their previous pediatric dentist, she SLAPPED my hand away when I was trying to help her with my autistic two year old. Not okay at any time but especially when dealing with my autistic child.I waited so long to get me and my kids in, but our appointments were multiple months out and my pain has gotten worse so during my daughters visit last month, I asked if they had any openings. They said no because they have new staff and things are tight. So today, a month later we get calls and are told AGAIN that they’ve had staff quit and need to reschedule us. ANOTHER month out!!!! My kids and I are not getting our needs met and are never taken seriously. I will be looking for another dental practice. One more thing others have mentioned that I agree with is that advantage in Corvallis refuse some extractions and “refer” you to Eugene. They inform the patient that they have made you an appointment for extraction. Then you make the trip to Eugene and get told there won’t be work done. That they’ll be examine you and you’ll need to make a second appointment. I understand that sometimes you need an exam first but they are making a habit of misleading and disregarding patients who are in severe pain. They did this to me for an “emergency extraction.” They did not treat me as an emergency. They do not care.

It not only took them 45 minutes to do my x-rays, but they kept getting my birthday wrong in their system so I was seemingly a non-existent patient. I called to see if I could move my already scheduled appointment earlier since it was 1.5 months out, but they couldnt find my information. I had to tell them the date/time of my appointment for them to find my name, and they informed me that my birthday was wrong in their system. After my appointment, they gave me a referral form to another dental office for a wisdom teeth extraction and on the form my birthday was wrong again. I informed them of the error as soon as I saw it. When I went in for my appointment with the dental office they referred me to, I was labeled as a self-referral. I was not informed by either office that this would be a self-referral since I gave the front desk a referral form. I only learned of this error after receiving a large bill for my self-referral in which my insurance did not cover. I contacted this office where they informed me that they called Advantage only for them to say that I was never their patient, did not exist in their records, and that they did not refer me.

You have to be rich in order to afford their health services, and hospitals do not help with dental. Went in and had an appointment with Dr. Brown for an abscess tooth. My gums were swollen it was uncomfortable. They did X-ray and exam. I asked him if I could get started on antibiotics and he said no. He does not like to prescribe them. I could have understood if I had asked for pain pills for him to tell me no. I told him I was concerned it was going to spread, and he informed me I would be fine and if it gets worse he will give them to me I just needed to call. After he left the room the dental assistant Scolded me about my anxiety and how I have to do something to calm down because of my blood pressure. This was not a friendly talk, this was a scolding! So I went and made my appointment for the extraction. I called back 3 days later to ask them to please move my appointment to the 5th because that is when I had the $200 to pay. I also asked that I be put on the antibiotics because my jaw swelling was worse. She said he would get back to me. 2 weeks later with no antibiotics the swelling went into my jaw and looked like a gulf ball. After several attempts of trying to get ahold of someone I finally did and that is when they informed me that he would be calling it in that moment and if I cancel or change my appointment again that he would never give me antibiotics again. One hour later I called the pharmacy to check. They had no no orders fo it. So I called Dr.Browns office again and the receptionist was very rude telling me they called it in and sometimes it takes a few hours to go through. So 3 hours later I called pharmacy to ask and she said yes! We just got a phone call for it. I asked her if it was just now and she said yes that they had just called. So yep! Advantage dental lied to me! They were rude! And I am on day 4 of the antibiotics and they are just now barely bringing the massive infection down! Don’t go here people! Worst experience of my life! I could have died from this infection but they could have cared less! Because Dr.Brown does not believe in antibiotics.

Horrible.. I wouldnt even give this place a 1 star. Because of the services and treatment, But I feel like people should know this before coming here.Frist off, Ill start by saying, I had a crown break. ( my fault ) its an old crown, all I wanted it to be pulled. Because I have already put a lot $ into for it to causing me problems. So I made an appointment with this place asking it to be Extracted. I know that being in the healthcare, it has to be evaluated before anything. So I go in and the DDS that looked at my tooth, and he was trying to tell me save the tooth. I told him I did Not want to because of the cost and $ I have put into it already. I want it pulled. He tells me he wouldnt be comfortable doing that. Hell refer me to an Oral Surgeon in Eugene. I called the next week cause I havent heard anything and my tooth was causing me pain. Like an effection started. They wouldnt call me in a Rd for it and tell me that they referd me to the Surgeon. And I have to go see them. I call the Surgeon and they get me in that day. The surgeon tells me I was referred to him for a second opinion not an Extraction. He gives me a Rx and sends me home to wait for the referral for extraction. I call the office and tell me that, I have to wait and see what the DDS wants to do.Meanwhile, my tooth is still in my mouth broken and nothing has been done. Still waiting...I hope this was helpful for the next person it happens to.
