The room they had me stay in was not in great shape and some aspects were a little dirty. Right away I found a long hair on one of the pillows, the bathroom sink shelf had plenty of spittle that had not been cleaned as well as the paper towel dispenser and the bathroom door handle had a large amount of something sticky on it that had obviously not been cleaned. The room was also very very warm which made it hard for me to sleep. There is a fan in there but it wasnt enough to do much. My tech Heather was lovely to work with and very helpful during the whole process.

Although the doctor I met with was knowledgeable and the tech that conducted my test did a great job, waiting two weeks plus for results to read and sent to my primary doctor is ridiculous. The results still arent ready and the staff seems unconcerned on when they will be ready. As the end of the year approaches and it would be beneficial to me to be able to get the machine while my deductible is met, that doesnt seem important to the staff there. I would not recommend them to others and have let my primary doctor know of my dissatisfaction and advised they might want to look into another sleep center to refer their patients to.

The nurse practitioner is kind and honest and the staff is nice. However the doctor I met with told me to essentially “pick my diagnosis” from 3 options. Instead of answering my questions and addressing my concerns he evaded them and made jokes instead. If you think you have sleep apnea then I’d say go but if you want a sleep specialist to address other concerns and take you seriously, make the drive to Nashville or Knoxville. I didn’t pay almost 5000 dollars to “pick my own diagnosis”.

I had the sleep test there on May, 2. 2018.The room felt like a low rate motel, they have nothing in the room to make you feel relaxed. The Tech I had was a man, Im a woman, he just walks into your room without knocking, he showed no respect .The comforter was old & very heavy.I was not offered a water or a juice in the a.m. Im glad I thought to bring me own water. I will drive an hr & half, out of my way in a different city if I had to repeat this test again.

I just found out I have Sleep Apnea, although its not your own bed, it is comfortable. I had the same Tech 2 times, and she was absolutely amazing, very friendly and laid back.

It wasnt my bed at home but it was comfortable enough. My tech was polite and helpful, explaining everything. When i went back to see the doctor for my results, he was polite, answered my questions and explained alot that i didnt know.

Yes it is not your home or a hotel room, but it is comfortable. You can bring items from home to make it even more so if need be. My tech did what ever she could to make me comfortable since the goal is to get you to sleep, because that is what they need to do the study. And if you need the study, you probably are having trouble sleeping at home as well. Also there is a TV and WiFi as well as a lamp light over the bed for reading and on a night stand. A private bathroom with a shower as well.To me the wires were a pain, but long enough to toss around in the bed to get comfortable. The bed is firm, but a padded mattress topper. And as a woman it was hard to go without products in my hair, but you will need to shampoo your hair after anyways to remove the sticky stuff used to apply the wires. So there is that shower if needed (because some may have to go to work after words).Listen, tests are never fun and often inconvenient, but this place seems to work hard at making things an easy transition since the goal is sleep! And if you have any questions just call in anytime before your appointment and they will help answer them for you. Even while you are there too. If you only have an idea of what to expect and are not sure, just ask them. I had my test Tuesday night on May 15th and left in the morning of the 16th. I didnt ask, but I wonder if I could have brought crackers or a snack since my sleep is so messed up I often get a craving again before I am finally able to fall asleep. I will say that I get a dry mouth at night and water doesnt always di the job, so I asked if they had something sweet to drink because I usually need it through the night to hold off that dry sticky throat from sinuses. They had a couple of things and I picked ginger ale. I didnt think I could bring my own, but next time I will know I can.
