I was a patient of Dr. Chertok for at least 15 years. BEST Primary Care I ever had! Sadly, they closed the office because he had another calling, and his partner was ready to retire. NOT closed because of bad reviews. If he ever decides to re-open his practice, I will be the first in line to be a returning patient. And his staff was always pleasant & helpful to me. Perhaps complaining patients had an attitude???

I do not understand all of the 5 star reviews. OK, Ill be the first to admit he made a Great first impression, no doubt, Great. And, Yes, rudest office staff e-v-e-r. It did not take me long to figure out he should not be in patient care, but in a lab somewhere doing experiments. And, news flash for Harold, NO, Yoga does Not cure everything. My partner suffered with plantar factitious for too long before going to a Real doctor. New Doctor cured it in a few weeks with a regimen and the proper medication (which he no longer has to take because the pain is gone). Chertok prescribed yoga (and a boot), Not kidding. I suffered with pain and tingling down my arm. He showed me a picture from the internet (yall know how much he loved to do that), and said its fat pressing on my nerves. Never did even the most cursory exam. When he told me that my insurance company is actually his customer, not me, that was it. I finally went to a Real Doctor. I said to the new guy all of the same things I was telling that joke for 3 months. With a less than 5 minute exam (a Real exam like real Doctors do, not the lecture with visual aids), he discovered that my shoulder was partially out of socket. That Doctor allowed me to suffer for months with pain because of his prejudices, in my opinion. He himself, and no one else, is the reason hes going out of business. And the cherry on top? We actually got a letter from his office about his closing the practice and that he couldnt be our primary care provider any longer (Thank God) and to let them know where to send our records. He hasnt been ANY care provider, let alone ours for the last 4 years or so. Unbelievable.

I dont know how there are so many good reviews on this practice. The most rude staff Ive ever encountered in any kind of office, main girl there especially. I quit going to Chertok a couple years ago, now I hear hes going our of business. You can blame the insurance companies or Covid or whatever, but this is on you and your horrible attitude and staff.

Wow, I finally found a doctor and office that does their job. There a reason this office has great reviews. So far no issues, they really surprised me when they went out of their way to communicate with my pharmacy. No long waits in office either.Keep up the good work!!!

Dr. Chertok is very thorough, and he explains all of his decisions. When I ask questions, he shows the research behind it. The thing I respect most is that he has no agreements with any pharmaceutical companies. There are no clocks, notepads, advertisements, or free samples. He doesnt prescribe based on which drug company has bribed him best, but on which drugs have been proven to work. He is patient and understanding and truly seems to want to best for his patients. I have noticed the lady at the front desk doesnt smile, but she has never been rude to me. I think she is simply overworked. She is efficient at her job; I dont need her to be friendly and social. You wont regret going to Dr. Chertok.

Very no nonsense; doesnt push unnecessary drugs, patient and listens to you, taking a lot of time per appointment. One of the best general doctors I have been to. Staff could be a bit friendlier, but Im there for the doctor.

Dr. Chertok literally changed my life. I cant recommend him enough. He takes all the time he needs to with you, shows you the specific research behind what his recommendations are, and does not push drugs because its the latest thing. It CAN be difficult to get in to see him. If its a nonemergency, expect at least a month before you can be seen. But if you are sick they will do their best to get you in the same day. I will agree with the reviewer that says that the office staff can sometimes be off-putting (not all of them).... I have a feeling its because there are so many people who want to see this doc that they have to juggle his schedule and deal with a lot of irritated people who want to see him and have to wait. If only we could clone him. :)

Dr. Chertock is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. I had problems with Melissa. I think she must be an office manager...I am not sure about this. She is rude, stupid (please forgive this expression because she has no knowledge of how to treat people). and is the only reason I no longer see Dr. Chertock. I refuse to deal with someone like Melissa. I have found another doctor I like less but at least his office staff treats me with expected dignity.

This was my Dads doctor. The worst bestside manners and uncaring person that is supposed to a doctor. I dont reccommend this person unless you like be treated like you dont matter. Money is his main motivator.
