Went here for kayaking because they transport you and your kayak up river. The drop in spot was different, just a small hill and ramp for your kayak. Not handicap accessible. But the water was great, not high, and so clear. Will definitely be going back. It was very peaceful.

Seems to be geared to seasonal people. Kayaking is the activity in the area. Staff is friendly. A place you would expect to see the American Pickers try to buy things. Lol. Very interesting.

Always fun. Owners are the nicest people. Lots to see around the campground. The seasonal campers are friendly and welcoming. We love the golf cart trails. Well behaved pets are welcone. Nice camp sites with fire rings. Clean restrooms.

Only complaint is once we were dropped of had to sit on butts and slide down steep inbankment,to get to river,everything else was fine had a great time

We had a great time! Great place to take the kids. They have a playground, swimming, fishing, animals, and just great things to see. We had a great time because our kids enjoyed it and the people are so nice, the owner treats you like family!

Really nice place we stayed at while we did some local work. The owners are so friendly and really helpful. The bathhouses are really nice and clean with nice hot water. They have a nice property to walk, with river access and nice park area. Its a nice campground!! There is a bird and nature preserve down the road you can hike at as well.

Got in and set up a little late. But feels so good to be out and about again. Such wonderful people down here.

We take the grandkids every year for the Easter Bunny Express. Theyre always very friendly.

A fun time. Tubes and kayaks are older but they were very nice people to work with and the ride down the river was adventurous.

Very nice owners and other campers. Quiet camp sites under trees, and safe. Definitely our kind of place when we saw their sign at the front entry referring to their beliefs. There is a an old Pullman car train in town that takes you to Metamora, an old 1800s town with shops and the train was able to pick us up at campground so we could leave RV. Suggest using their Bath House toilets. We look forward to returning next season.

Perfect place to river float and camp! Rent or hitch a ride from here and float down, get off right at your camp!They suffer from not having nearly the staff needed to operate-but info have the patience, theyre super nice people and helpful, just not in abundance

Great people They have a lot of stuff going on During the Year ! They make you feel like family Go out of there way to make you comfortable There Children and Grandchildren also are very niceWe were there 4-5 Times I like to go there on my Birthday and stay for the Weekend we stay in 1 of there 2 Cabins our Favorite is #1 cabin you can sit on the porch and watch everyone going along the river in Canoes anything they can go in the River and go on and that river runs fast fun to watch then we mingle with the friendly people and the Robinson FamilyRay & Rose Podlewski 👍Hope to see you soon

I went here when i was a kid and its still amazing its always been a favorite place to go see my familybwhen they bring up the rv. We even went camping with a friend. Everyone is really friendly and i hope one day our family can go too.

They put on a spectacular firework display. Its been a tradition for my family for the past 3 years we dont miss it..Just want to say thanks Robinsons campground it was and always is amazing 😊

Beautiful campground! The bath house was even acceptable. We came down as a vendor for a weekend event. Brought our RV and have had no complaints.... electrical outlets everywhere and water spickets as well. The town has old train museums and is a really neat place to visit. Very well kept too! And there is tube & canoe rental that picks you up about 2 hrs down the river to bring you back! Thats what we are going to do tomorrow before we have to leave and go back home lol

Robinsons Front Porch Stage is the best atmosphere for live music. Laid back. Bring a lawn chair and a cooler.

Great breakfast cooked by an amazing staff! Super sweet lady in the train car at the entrance. Clean and kayak ready! 👍

I recently attended an event labeled Rock On The River which Jackyl was to play. They didn t play, which I m not sure with whom the blame lies. Regardless, it was the most poorly planned event I had ever attended anywhere. Nothing was allowed in, no drinks, no chairs, nothing though the venue took place on a large field. The only beverages served near the main event were beer and whiskey, which the excise informed them they were not allowed to serve (The whiskey that is). Anything else you had to go back through the front and be re-frisked. The portolets were also near the front which meant the same. If you left they would not allow you back in, you had to buy a new ticket. Ridiculous and I will never go there again.

Staff is very friendly, the campground is family ran therefore family oriented. They have a very child friendly play ground, two stocked fishing ponds, hiking trails, camp store, canoe and tube rentals, and beach swimming and just about every summer weekend they have live music on either their river stage or their back porch stage. They have a shower house with laundry facilities and a shelter for family reunions or get togethers. We love this place .!!!Update on my previous review.....I go to almost all of the concerts held at the campground..I reciently went to the JACKYL concert that was held at the campground. I had a great time, I brought a chair but was told by campground staff, it may not be allowed in concert area BECAUSE there were so many people that there was not much room to put chairs and it may cause arguments amung the concert goers. and my cooler of food had to stay outside of the gate. not a problem, That was fine with me, the campgroung staff allowed us to keep our chair at the office. There was a beer garden in the music area but there was also ample amounts of vendors outside of the concert area selling pop, water, and lemon shake-ups! which were wonderful! Early in the evening we were told that the power equiptment was in an accident and back up equiptment was on its way, which didnt come. Jackyl ended up playing later on in the evening on the campgrounds stage. The Campground is STILL a wonderful place to camp! this mix up with sound equiptment will not put a damper on my opinion of the place. it is still A+ to me! this review is about the wonderful camping experience i HAD AT THE CAMPGROUND. we will be back.
