RACHEL KOONTZ IS THE BEST!! She is always so nice. She cares about what I am saying and really listens. She takes all the time that I need to check myList off, that I usually bring with me, of the issues I am having. She is Very knowledgeable. And if I have an ailment that needs further exploring she doesn’t hesitate to send me to a Specialist so we can figure out what is going on. I feel like I am sitting and talking with a best friend that I have known for years!!Also, all other employees have always been very professional, caring and nice. I have only good things to say about Cabarrus Family Medicine.

Not sure how anyone has had anything but a great experience here. Every triage nurse, front desk staff, and doctor I have encountered have been beyond amazing, especially during Covid times. Dr. Campbell and Dr. Craig are both the sweetest and most thorough doctors. Will always try their best to do what they can for you, and don’t just push medicines you don’t need. Give healthcare workers a break! Thank you all for what you do.

Being a new comer to the state, Atrium Cabarrus Family Medicine was quite impressive. The building was beautiful and so clean. As soon as you walked in you were greeted by friendly, polite, but professional personnel. The nurse and doctor were the same, They both listened to me and followed up. I was not rushed and my visit went smoothly. I think I will like this health system. i will however have to get used too the computer part but this I am sure makes it much easier for the system.

I have been a patient of Ms. Seymour for almost 30 years. I moved away from the Concord area many years ago, but I still make the 55 minute drive just to see her! She takes all the time you need, and ensures that you understand everything before you leave the office. Ms. Seymour is down to earth and she, along with the rest of the CFM staff, makes you feel comfortable, respected and valued.

Set up a 4 pm appt sped here right after work, I was asked to check in over the phone which I did as soon at I got into the parking lot the woman on the other line said okay I’ll put you in the check in list happy 4th. It was 4:20 no one had come out I called again to ask why it was taking so long, a different lady picked up and put me on hold for 10 more mins. I end up walking inside and ask why it’s taking so long I checked in at 4. They claimed that I didn’t call or didn’t know who I spoke to so I was not checked in. It was 340 when the dr let’s them know to tell me to go to the er…it was their fault, why am I turned away. You’d think after a whole year of curbside someone would know how to check in curbside but I guess not.

I visited recently as a new patient with Dr. Megan Campbell who was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. All the other staff were also friendly and helpful, including those on the phone and at the front desk, and more specifically my nurse Darshon and phlebotomist, whose name I didnt get. Discussions of history, concerns and follow-up were compassionate and encouraging. I did have some wait times, but that is to be expected considering I am a new patient and the additional limitations with current pandemic circumstances, and the wait times did not detract from my positive experience.

This office very in considerate of their patients. I as a parent is always on time with my children but never get seen by their doctor because we have to reschedule every time they have an appointment with this certain doctor. It’s getting out of hand. The Core values of Atruim Heath is defined as: Caring, Commitment, Integrity, and Teamwork. And Atrium mission and vision is Health. Hope. and Healing for all. This office has not displayed any of those values nor Atruim mission and vision.

Dr. Royer told my daughter she had 15 minutes so she better pick the first two items on her list. She picked her ears as one of the issues. the dr. looked in her ears, told her they were clogged and she would need to make an appointment to have them flushed out. THAT IS WHY SHE WAS THERE. She was made to feel unimportant and like a number. Practically the first thing out of her mouth was that she had 15 minutes! We will not go back, after 25 years at atrium. the care at all of the atrium facilities has gone down drastically.

Super disappointed in the facility, my appointment was for 11 am i got here at 10:30 to go through the new checkin process only to spend 1 hour in the room alone. I had a concussion from a work related incident, being dizzy and tired unable to sit in chairs this wasnt the best experience for me. I am truly disappointed in the deterioration of the quality of service they used to provide.

URGENT CAREI took my 18 month old grandson and daughter to the Urgent Care at Cabarrus Family Poplar Tent on Thursday night my grandson with a 104.6 fever and daughter 103.4 I went in and told the reception they both had high fevers and the young gentlemen told me the were seeing patients by appointment only however he called the Dr. on duty and advised her of my situation with hopes that she would see at least the baby. She told him no and told him to tell me they are taking appointments only! And to either go to the ER or to another urgent care. The gentleman was very sorry that the baby couldn’t be seen. What Urgent care takes appointments? We got there by 7:30 and only a gentleman, his wife and son were in the waiting area to be seen and no one else! I felt they should have made an exception for a baby with a extremely high fever. Unfortunately, this was not a concern. We went to Fast Med and got there by 7:50 and they close by 8pm! They gladly took my daughter and grandson they immediately took his temp which now was 104.9 and gave them a flu test and it was positive. They had great concern for the baby and monitored him until his fever went down. We are so great full and will use them for now on! We are patients of Cabarrus Family medicine and only patients of Cabarrus Family can go to the urgent care. I will definitely let my Dr. know how we were treated!Michael Gallo

The doctor was very rude and would not listen to the concerns I had but rather forced medicines when I wanted to go the opposite route. I then got up and said I would prefer to get a second opinion and wanted to leave. She continued to stand in front of the door, not let me leave and insult me. I finally asked for her to please excuse me so that I could leave at which point she said I’m banned from the clinic. I was such a threat that she continued to insult me after walking out. I kindly told everyone to have a great day and exited. I will not be back and would recommend anyone that goes there to be very cautious or find a new PC provider. Customer service could use some work. Just got off the phone trying to get in contact with my doctor to ask about medication, and was greeted with the most unwelcoming tone of voice from the lady I spoke to. Even though I was being polite, the attitude in her voice never left. She asked me if I would like to leave a message because all the doctors were busy with patients (obviously). I said yes and told her the name of the doctor that I would like to leave a message for. With the sound of annoyance in her voice, she tells me Maam, I just told you that all of our doctors are busy and cant take phone calls at this moment. To which I responded I understand that. I was just giving the name of the doctor I needed to leave a message for, thats all. After going through that process, she told me that she would leave a message for me and give it to my doctor. I told her thank you and she told me youre welcome, but then there was just awkward silence. Usually people tell you to have a nice day after that, but I just got hung up on.

I love CFM. I have been going there for more than 15 years and have always been treated well by all staff and Physicians. I recently changed doctors bc the best doctor ( M. Robinson ) retired. I have been very satisfied, for the most part, with my new doctor. But I must admit that something has changed when it comes to office communication. I do find more mistakes are made with the front office. I mean nobody is perfect. Many patients are unreasonable and even hostile, so I pay little attention to those who rate this practice a one star. But having said that, I also feel communication is lacking between the information being passed on from the dr to the front desk to the patient. It seemed to have started when Atrium Health came into play. I will continue to drive over an hour to get to this office in hopes that reasonable feedback will be acted upon. That is what has happened in the past for me, and I trust the people here will do the same this time.

Dr. Aurie, OD deserves a zero rating for her lack of compassion among other things. I arrived at 10:45 for a 11 am appointment with her only to be told that the appointment was scheduled for 2:20pm. I returned home then came back at 2:30 pm due to road construction and an accident. The receptionist told me that Dr. Aurie refused to see me because I was 10 minutes late. Dr. Aurie denied me basic treatment for my high blood pressure, urine retention, swelling of the lymph nodes, swelling of the joints and more. A doctor who cares about their patients would not send a sick patient away without at least an examination. She lacks what it takes to be an excellent health care provider because she certainly didn’t care about me. If you’re looking for someone to care about your health more that 10 minutes of tardiness choose another doctor, because she ain’t it. She doesn’t care about you more than her schedule of cranking patients out. Time is money is what this boils down to. Money, money , money... I hope it makes her happy. Please note other reviews regarding her. One person refers to her asan OD. Person talks about her lacking concern and compassion. Terrible.

I swear this place nearly killed me. For months I complained of chest pain and kept being sent away with Prilosec. I truly feel my lack of health insurance and being seen by a different doctor each visit led to my heart attack. Thank god the emergency responders were able to resuscitate me. My sister is a patient at this same office and she had similar issues (but no where near my health issues) and she was sent for a EKG and received a heart monitor, difference she has insurance. Her insurance was billed for numerous unnecessary tests and I got antacids. Such a shame that doctors place value on their patients. I decided to leave this office but if you’re a patient here listen to your body, be persistent and demand that they address your concerns.

I have been a patient here for more than 10 years, and my whole family goes here. I love the Doctors and clinical staff. Rising medical cost make everything cost more but having labs, xrays, etc here is cheaper than hospital. The front desk has made drastic improvements in the last 2 years with staffing. My friendly advice for all Doctors offices is notice they are human they run late. The front desk cannot make them run faster or fill a refill as it requires a doctor. Sometimes the front desk is the front line for the answer you dont like. Bottom line is this is great practice or I would have left long time ago.

I left there because of their lack of returning calls and hard time getting appointments with my doctor. One time they told me that the doctor would call me back before noon. My family has been going to Cabarrus family medicine for about 2 years now and because my wife has missed her appointments they have decided to send a certified letter telling us that because she has not been in for her appointments that she is no longer welcome at there office and that they have removed her as a patient I can see they are more worried about the money they lost because she did not make it to the appointment then checking to see if she is ok. I have always felt its all about the money with doctors because the first thing they ask is do you have insurance and if you do and they send the bill to the insurance company and they wont pay you are stuck with the bill they should check to see if the services are covered first before any tests or treatments and let the patient know ahead of time but thats fine we wont be back to Cabarrus family medicine for anything.

Ive been taking my daughter to CFM since birth and never had a complaint. Her last appointment (9 month well baby check up) was a disaster. The nurse did NOT weigh my baby, take her temperature, measure her or her head, she just asked if wed been out of the country and verified info. Then the Dr comes in saying shes at 80 percent on his lap top, showing me a confusing chart. How could he know that if the nurse never took the measurements? Then he offered vaccines that hed just recently given her a week earlier, if Id sent my daughter there with my husband she would have been vaccinated again, in error. I no longer feel confident in the care (or lack thereof) received here. I will not bring my daughter back to this practice.

Login to mycarolinas and come to find out that my results came back as of a week ago and was prescribed a medicine. With NO call to inform me of either. I called today a week after my results came back to find out exactly which pharmacy was the prescription sent to. The nurse I spoke with, Gerry, I guess Im spelling her name correctly was rude as can be. I asked why was a call not made to myself and was told that they tried. I have no missed calls at home or on my cell from them at all. Considering changing Doctors. Only thing I can say good about this office is the pediatric care.
