Office has a policy to mail (USPS) patient a letter explaining when the patient can call to make a follow-up appointment with their doctor. The schedule comes out monthly. I never received the letter! Their doctors are at several campuses so it is not easy to schedule appointments. They should do a better job of explaining this confusing system at the beginning to patients and how and why this letter system is used. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars. My pulmonologist, Dr. Martinez, is an excellent physician, very kind and knowledgeable.

I had an appointment for a spirometry (lung function test) at Diablo Pulmonary in Concord. It was very easy to find and park. One really great thing is that you can fill out a lot of the paperwork online! There will still be paperwork to fill out, so get there about 1/2 hour ahead, but save time by filling as much as you can online. The receptionist was courteous and everyone was really good about sanitary practices. Donna, my respiratory tech, was great. She did a good job at explaining the spirometry (basically, a lot of huffing, puffing, and blowing into a tube), walking me through the procedure, and getting me water when I needed it (as I said, all that puffing and blowing.) Based on my visit, I would recommend Diablo Pulmonary in Concord. Professional, courteous, and clean.
