Dr Spero is very good and knows what he’s about. He and his staff make the whole experience of going to the dentist(one of the most commonly unpleasant there is) feel easy. The staff will work with you on a payment plan if your insurance can’t cover the entire amount. They are also very informed on dentistry and take most kinds of medical insurance.

Went on a Sunday as an emergency root canal. Has been my regular dentist ever since. Friendly staff and great Dentist. No complains all these negative reviews must be tripping.

I highly recommend Citadel Dental. I started coming here in 2008 after I had a bad experience at another office. My experience here has always been wonderful. Dr. Spero is a real professional and truly cares about his patients. Ive had cleanings and other procedures done, along wirh 3 wisdom teeth extracted throughout the years, and it was not a frightening experience it was actually painless... fast forward to today, my husband got an extraction this morning and he was surprised about how painless it was. Thank you Dr. Spero & staff.

Sorry it is long but READ this before going here...I went in to get a consultation for braces. when I got there they did xrays which is normal and expected for a consultation however once the doctor came in is when things took a left turn. she comes over and tells me I need an exam and I told her no I just came in for a consultation and she continues that she has to do an exam in order to do ortho treatment (however, I wasnt starting treatment I was just there for a consultation). So she continues to press the situation and says she has to check for cavities so sprays water in my mouth and looks at my teeth and determines in less than a minute that I have FIVE cavities, mind you i just went to my dentist, that I have been going to for 20+ years and was told I have no cavities. So she explains I need to get all of them filled before I get braces because she may want to put a blocker on and cover my teeth and the bacteria will grow and it will get worse. So I ask are these new cavities because I just went to the dentist and she says no they have been there but some dentists have a philosophy to not fill cavities if they dont think it is necessary and they will just watch them so I explained again that I have never in 20+ years been told I have a cavity and her response is well Im just telling you the philosophy so after she tries to get me to get fillings she finally talks about the braces and she is going to lie to my insurance company to get the money for the braces. After I tell her I am going to go see my dentist she says she will go print the pictures she took so I can take them to him (because I now am not eligible for an exam at my dentist for 6 months). she leaves and never comes back the front desk lady comes with a break down of how much i would pay for the fillings that I already said I was NOT getting there and the braces then proceeds to ask AGAIN if I wanted to start getting them that day. I told her no again and that I was going to see my regular dentist she gets up and starts walking away and I get out the chair and leave I never got the pictures that I was told I was going to get she gave me a business card and said email her if I need to and the doctor NEVER came back and said anything. These people are clearly just in it for the money and I would never recommend anyone go here

Seeing those 2 negative reviews made me want to talk about this dentiststry and how great it is. Ever since I was a child I’d always go here for my dentist appointments. Due to my young age and TV I was scared to go to the dentist and even more when I would have to get a shot to num my mouth. As the years went by Dr. Spero would see me again and again as I got older. I soon respect him since he always asked how life was and how I was doing and calmly explained to me what would happen during my appointment. The staff there are very pleasant and patient as well.Recently when I got a wisdom tooth removed, the Doctor explained to my that if I heard cracking it was natural and he was asking how I was doing throughout to make sure I was fine. And before the operation ever happened he wanted to get clearance for root canals and wisdom tooth extraction before my insurance wouldn’t cover it. He wanted me to be covered thinking of me and my family.Also to that person who complained about waiting, it’s a dentistry jackass. Learn to be patient. And to the guy who wanted something for the troubles, he apologized and he isn’t obliged to give you anything.

Today I came here for taking out my wisdom teeth The dentist is so so so so so so nice and funny and professional.when i was x-ray, he explain to me very patiencely and show me colorful pic to me. And tell me one of them i can not take out. I really want give him a super big hug and say thank you when my teeth were taked out.. By the way ,No pain at all. When my mouth was num , his assistent help me knead my cheek. She is so nice. Im the people really scared go to dentist or hospital. If I have any treatment usually I m scream. But I didnt scream today. He is super good . I will recommend my friend to him if someone need a dentist. No worry. No pain. Easy and happy. Very good experience. I like here. Haha.

I dont do reviews but today is my first day and am only doing so because I think all current patients and ones thinking of becoming a patient should know how disrespectful Dr Spero was today. Last week, on May 20th i had a 4pm appt; showed up and the office was closed. somewhat upset i blew it off and went shopping (part of the reason i chose this office). The next morning i called to find out why they were closed....receptionist said the Drs were out of town and had called all patients to reschedule and had notes of leaving me a couple of v-mails (none of which i received). I told the lady it was a little disappointing that they didnt confirm the cancellation because i had to get out of work and drive the 10 miles. She was apologetic and rescheduled. She mentioned they would tell the Dr what had occurred that way he could make possibly do something about the mishap.TODAY i went in for the reschedule appt and when the hygienist took me back for xrays i explained what had happened previously and what the receptionist had told me. She said she would tell the dr. Just before she was to start cleaning the Dr walks in and what started as an apology ends with, ....i will not be giving you money for the miscommunication. Shocked and in aaw i replied that i was not asking for $$ and if i wanted it i would have been very clear in requesting it. He went on to say that his office is not at fault for the miscommunication they did their job of leaving a message and that they didnt need to confirm anything.I continue to tell him that as in any business rendering a service and when something goes wrong they have to in some way (10% discount, a free entree, a free promo item)make it up to customers as goodwill and to keep their business.He didnt get it and continued to say that they render great service but he would not be giving me money (still not what i wanted). With every words he spoke he became more beligerant. I finally turned to the hygienist and told her i was leaving...no Dr will be disrespecting me. She offered to clean my teeth so i wouldnt get behind on cleaning and Mr Spero told her not to; to give me and copy of my xrays and i could FIND ANOTHER DENTIST!!! He starred me down as if i was going to quiver and give in. All the time im laying back and he is giving me the stare down. To top it all off another patient that had just been seated got up and left as she overheard the Dr and I going back and forth. I REALLY HOPE SHE NEVER RETURNS AS WELL.This DR is by far the most UNPROFESSIONAL dentist i have ever dealt with....I for one am a patient that looks forward to every cleaning. His wife is great but even with that and a great staff who tried to excuse his bad attitude due to the stress of managing 3 offices i will be looking for a NEW DENTIST!! Do some YOGA, MEDITATE and get a CHANGE in ATTITUDE DR.....you can really use.

Never liked this place. Bad service and long waiting hours.
